This was a pretty good send-off for Vi and she will be missed, but man did the show do her dirty. I wish the show did more with Vi as a character, but she only had like one storyline focused on her... until it ended up being about Stuart.
There's nothing like a Ballum forehead kiss to make everything better. I love how we're seeing such growth from the two boys, this year. Ben, here, understands that, as Callum climbs higher in the police ranks, his work is going to get more confidential. But Ben understands the boundary and doesn't push it, instead, he's kind and supportive, and they end with a sweet embrace.
In fairness to Vi, she’s just a typical sword tongue old lady, i think hating her means she portrayed her role well perfectly. She can be irritating but loving at the same time. Can’t forget her sobbing during Ben and Callum’s wedding
@@artl1832 As annoying as she could be, I had a bit of a soft-spot for Vi. She did love and support her grandson and his husband, and I liked her for that.
Vi is right...Gay marriage is something to be taken seriously. Not sad to see Vi go. Love seeing Callum winking to Ben. Both of them are great together...let's hope it stays that way...
After the scene where Lola and Callum speak with Ben about organizing a surprise party for Jay, Ben says to Callum, "I can always read you." I also remember Callum saying to Ben on another occasion "I can't just turn off my feelings like you can." Callum is so sincere that he's almost transparent to Ben.
@@vallarfaxgaming Nobody's ignoring anything lmao. The character still felt the need to unnecessarily refer to their wedding as a "freak show". Even if she no longer feels that way, it was still completely unnecessary. The casual queerphobia she brought to far too many scenes will not be missed.
Mitchell is right: Ben is his family now ... along with Lexi and Jay. I'm so eager to see how Ben and Callum become a family unit with Lexi in the house. Full time parenting Lexi will add both sugar and spice.
Farewell Vi Highway. For now anyway. Please come back real soon. We know that Stuart and Rainie need a helping hand with baby Roland Highway because of Stuart and Rainie working to keep a roof over their three heads and food and drinks on the table and fresh clothes to wear and paying for Roland's special needs and tender loving care. #Ballum(Ben and Callum) don't need Vi at the moment. Stuart and Rainie need her more than Ben and Callum do at this moment of time and need.
That was such a sweet line and Ben's facial expression when he said it was well done. And thank God he's given up on that "I don't deserve you" bulls**t".
I think that Ben will get plenty of tough acting to chew on with that snake-in-the-grass Emma and with Jay & Lexi when Lola dies. ALSO, it is high time that Callum got a strong storyline of his own: he's been in a supporting role for too long -- for most of 2022, in fact.
Who cares. He’s had enough “challenge” and it almost killed the entire ship cause it went overboard and became ridiculous. He’s not the only actor on the show ya know 🤣

at least Vi is gone now such a pointless character brought nothing to the show

After all the hate Callum has gotten from his father it was really nice to see Vi say she accepts him. (Even in her own kind of way)

Ben definitely can tell when callum has something on his mind

Callum blink wink is back 😉
And the kiss on the forehead!
Another episode that didn’t disappoint. ❤
this week has been so good ballum stans WON
“Freak show”? Ugh, homophobic until the end. I’m genuinely glad to see her go.
Pretty sure she was reflecting on her initial attitude towards homosexuality before accepting it, but I guess you could just ignore the entire scene

I'm a #Ballum fan!!
It is sad all Callum family gone from the square. He is all alone now that Vi moving in with Stuart & Rainie.
Ben is his family now
@@justaperson2222 And he was the original Highway on the show anyway.

Aunt Vi will return. Sooner than later I’m sure 😏
Callum and Ben says goodbye to Vi is her exit.

This is great that Ben n Callum are in a happy place now..but will Max be bored that his story is not challenging him as an actor.

@@mechellemybell1000 I agree: a focus on Callum is long overdue.
