Tough question. I don't have a lot of experience with 7" motors. I am going to test the Tmotor F100 soon. They should be pretty efficient as far as I know.
Hello! I have these motors and my AUW is 1.6kg on a 7" prop running 6s. It flies fine but do you think I need to upgrade to a 2808 motor? Others say quad is too heavy for the motor

Gal, thanks for the test data!! I'm in the middle of a 7" long-range build with the Eco ii 2807 1300's (on 6S) and see that this thing has the potential to make some big power. On 7056 props, the quad should "sip the juice" of the Li-Ion packs I have planned on building. I'll be using 6S2P Molicel P42A's, which should be good for 35+ minutes of easy cruising :-P
Each motor should be able to lift about 500g, preferably a at around %30 throttle more or less. This motor on a 7" setup should do the trick. Keep in mind that the battery is pretty heavy as well.
I'm a bit curious as to how the 5s setup works best? as I see it 6s has less current draw for the same thrust... high throttle draw is a problem but you won't really get there with these numbers. asking from a long range 7 inch perspective in mind, prob liion 6s2p. am I missing something obvious - must be ;)
I am sorry if it doesn't make sense, but that was my experience. There are also more variables like battery size and type for example so you might have a different experience than mine :-)
