Hoseok is a genius, an artist in the truest sense of the word. Proud is an understatement for what I feel for him right now. He deserves everything and more. JITB is a masterpiece. No skip. The album is fire! No pun intended. 🔥🔥🔥
The album is like a book - it tells a story. j-hope specificly asked us to listen to the album in order. Of course you can listen to some songs first as long as you also sit down to listen to the album in order. We all heard MORE and Arson first and it didn't ruin anything to hear them first. But it's a totally different experience to listen in order.
This Album is pure art. He's an ARTIST. Not trying to make a mainstream pop-album (nothing wrong with those!!!) but making art. He's telling us a story. Very deep and meaningful lyrics. I've cried over more than one of the songs (= equal sign hit me hard when I read the lyrics the first time).
The way I just can't stop listening to Jack In The Box, Hobi went OFF! Arson is one of my faves, the beat is sick.
So glad you liked the album! It makes me happy that you are listening on your own time as well.
And yeah, the meaning of j-hope comes from the tale of pandora's box. He got his name because he wanted "j" because his name is Jung and he wanted "Ho" because his name is Jung Ho Seok. And then it was suggested to be j-hope. And then they chose the meaning behind it. He's here to be a "piece of peace" a "piece of hope" to the world.

The whole album "Jack in the box" is freaking masterpiece..when you read the lyrics of each track, it hits very different, telling a story, his cadence, his flow, the production! do not play with this man & his art, he's serious about it, he has went beyond! Hoseok outdid himself again.."Hope world" & "Jack in the box" is like full 360° turn! (Tho from daydream we know the depth of his lyrics which introduces us to harsh reality of his/their lives as idols, as BTS in "hope world" also this song gives me a lil bit "hangsang" vibes, which is again from "hope world" so it's also not surprising to see this side of hobi..not that different from hope world if we think, but surely the big difference in vibe) this album is so personal & vulnerable, giving such classic hip hop like you can hear his influences but it's also so freshly hoseok, completely him but also a new side of him! I'm genuinely in love ✨💜 now about "Arson" the lyrics are thought provoking & paired with this imagery, arson is next level stunning! hobi is really bringing us out of "hope world", into the depths of his genius mind🔥🖤 i I'm love with all the tracks, specially equal sign, Arson, safety zone, what if, future...well👁️👄👁️ every jack in the box track is my fav until i hear the next one i guess 🚶🏻♀️🚶🏻♀️🤣
