Ok, so, the original lineup was formed by Shinsadong Tiger (their producer) by scouting some JYP trainees (Yuji, Haeryeong, Hani, Junghwa), discovering LE (who was an underground rapper performing as 'Elly') and Dami who was already at the company. After they debuted with "whoz that girl", Yuji, Haeryeong, and Dami left the group. Solji, who i believe was their vocal coach at the time, was asked to be a part of the group along with Hyelin (who had been turned down initially when the group first formed). This has been covered much better in other videos about the group but basically the girls went through some tough times and didn't really find much chart success early on and things were looking pretty grim for them as a group. They released 'Up & Down' and it didn't do well at all until a fancam of Hani performing it went viral MONTHS later after their promotions ended. They were invited BACK on music shows bc the song got so popular and eventually resulted in their first music show win. They may have never gotten to the like ultra-major level of popularity as some of the big big groups, but they have always been one of my favorite groups. Their amazing talents are only matched by their incredible personalities and love for eachother. I will literally watch and listen to anything any of them do bc it will always be good.

"Ah Yeah" was basically a big fuck you to everyone who criticized them for being too sexual with "Up&Down", they were super censored on TV and in the media compared to a lot of other groups (for example, all the boy groups who would be thrusting on stage and pulling their shirts up etc etc. were never censored). The public really either labeled them as being sluts, or were saying that their company was forcing them to do overly sexual concepts. So they came back with Ah Yeah which was just as sexy (if not *more* sexy tbh) and obviously at the end of the video you can see that the stuff that was being censored was actually just innocent things, which is basically saying "our stuff that you've been censoring isn't nearly as bad as you're making it seem". Them giving the finger to the industry and everyone who said shit. And now they've been known as sexy powerful queens ever since :)

EXID- Street album was Billboards top album pick for a girl group in 2016. I recommend that one. They also have The song “Cream” and it also has a music video. Eclipse and Fullmoon is kinda like a full album together. “Eclipse” is the bright and chill whereas “Fullmoon” is more moody and dance worthy.

LE has a solo on that album) 👀 followed by "Eclipse" I think "Ah Yeah" is their second best album, that mini album has my favorite exid song ever (Dangerous/Thrilling) Honestly their whole discography is so good but if you are going to react to an album from them I think Eclipse is the one. Also the Ah Yeah MV has a deep meaning behind it. the MV talks about how Korea's is extremely sensitive and sometimes what they censor is unnecessary especially for woman (they were censored for the Up&Down dance), when most of the time boys can do anything and they won't be censored, (basically they are standing up and calling out Korea for how extreme/sexist Korea's censoring is) the The viewer is lead to watch some scenes that may be "inappropriate" but at the end all the censored images basically weren't bad.
