I was born a Muslim in Iraq. I was worried and depressed, sitting and looking at the Tigris River in my city.Jesus' face appeared to me in the water and told me. "Son, you're not alone" And now I'm a Christian, and I pray every day at the edge of the river.Thank you Jesus for this grace. I'm not alone right now. Jesus is with me.✝🙏💖💖🙏🙏
Dear one, your story is so deeply moving. Of all places to come to meet Jesus. Maybe one day some American Christians will go there and meet you. Pay for you with you and love on you. We can only imagine.
Brooke Ligertwood, You've changed my life without even knowing. And I believe God used you to change me and bring me closer to Jesus through your songs. God bless you 🙏
Wow, your comment bears witness with my spirit. l also feel the same way. Brooke Ligertwood is a great worship leader to the body of Christ. The Holy Spirit only comes to glorify the person of Jesus Christ. Brooke Ligertwood is full of the Holy Spirit. We love you so much brooke LIgertwood. l am from Zimbabwe.
I remember her leading a worship song in Australia I believe. She came out in a suit and told everyone: "I wore a suit tonight because I came here to do business with JESUS." She had me from that moment on.
@@heyyou9839 Please don't run to conclude.I wonder if you can read & understand clearly.Did you read the whole comment before your rush to criticize? You should be free from the wine of fault finding you.
King of Kings is still my favorite. Lots of people cover this song, but I think Brooke does the best job of putting Joy, Love, Rejoicing and Praise into that last verse and chorus! The Spirit was obviously moving in her when she sang it. Thanks for the interview and time Brooke! God bless you and your family.
This interview was great, thank you! Brooke Ligertwood seems to be an artist wholeheartedly devoted to her Lord, you can see that in all the songs she writes. I was delighted listening to refreshed versions of her older songs in "EIGHT". I wish there was another song that I so love: "Lord Of Lords". This one gets me everytime.
Wow that story about the worship in Iraq is so impactful - devastating yet inspiring at the same time. It's a reminder that the most important One to look to is God. He's always with us. We NEED him whether in crisis or not. Thanks for sharing this interview.
Great interview! Air1, please get the rights to more of her songs! Seven and Eight have so many great songs! I'd love to hear more than just one or two from each album on the air.
Lament is the process by which we bring our problems to God and tell God all about them, while looking into God’s eyes and remembering Who God is and how much God values and loves me. And, I can keep going because of my relationship with God, and all God does for me, leads me into worship which brings me the balance I need. Jesus is The Juxtaposition! I had to learn how to lament scripturally (that and a lot of other stuff) before God could heal and deliver me from 50 years of depression. Oh, and something the Holy Spirit showed me about 30 years ago: Tears are the water that soften our hard hearts and allow our roots to sink deeper. 💧💔💧🌱💧🌼💧
I was introduced to Brooke Ligertwood's music back when she went with the her maiden name, Brooke Fraser. I heard she had some of her work done here in East Africa - I am from Kenya - so she literally was brought closer to home. I fell in love with her music and I can't count how many times I've listened to it. I even tried to cover one of her songs (Lifeline) on my RUclips channel. Her words and art are very impactful. She is an inspiration. I have hummed Desert Song so many times in places I couldn't sing it out. Her new album, 'Eight', is just on fire! ❤🔥The songs in the album have definitely brought me even closer to God. I haven't even mentioned how awesome her devotionals are. This interview is also something powerful. (Edit) Is anyone gonna talk about her superb fashion style in this video?
Her first 3 solo albums has to be the best female singer-songwriter albums when it comes to lyrical complexity and musical tastefulness. They are incredible, still cant believe she could make those songs so young. God directly used her into me becoming a Christian 15 years ago, so I am hugely grateful because of her. :)
Please repent of this Blasphemy- she is a broken sinner like you and me, she was a celebrity secular singer, daughter of a famous athlete which opened some doors for her - entering the church and was given an exalted platform from age 21 with everything hand laid out for her to easily walk through. With no opposition, no resistance, no challenge, just lots of people aiding her as she conducted her ministry. Try being one of the downtrodden ones in an evil and aggressive world, still trying to be a Christian.
@@heyyou9839 Lots of angst comes out of your reply. You seem to have an experience different than mine. She may well be blessed as you say, but that takes nothing away from the work she has done. You are right she has had plenty of help. I am a Christian that you speak of. I am poor, handicapped, and suffer every day. I am a sinner, same as she. God has blessed me with faith despite my infirmities. It is sometimes harder for a person of wealth and ability to know God at all. I worry for her because of this. I doubt I am long for this world. I serve by conducting bible studies online. It is a meager service, but I will do it while I can.
The description of what took place with ISIS. was very poignant. I Pray that the urgency described would fill the Hearts and minds around the world. Thank you for being obedient to the Holy Spirits direction. The songs under even difficult circumstances. Written in Spirit and truth can survive any setback . Worship transcends sin backsliding ( or appearance of) The Heartfelt . Spirit filled songs survive Hillsong United. The criticism of and scoffers. The music stays . As in Amazing Grace. 👏 ❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Wish list if a Christian music station: play oldies like Keith Green, play full albums, play independent artists, don't play just top 10 all day every day for 3 years straight while calling it a new album, play mostly worship (not mega church hype "worship").
I so badly want to admire Brooke, but she flirts so badly with the word of faith nonsense that I just can't take her seriously. Your soul isn't listening to what your mouth is saying. Your soul is telling your mouth what to say. More importantly, your spirit is not influenced by "speaking things over yourself." God is the one who declares and decrees. We are to submit only to His will.
You talk about humility, but yet you wear silver pants? Looks worldly to me, but that's just my opinion. I love your music, but don't get caught up Brooke

"Your soul is listening to what your mouth is saying" - thank you for that profound reminder Brooke ♡
Your soul is also listening to all the lyrics in secular music. Whether you understand or know the lyrics or not.

THANK YOU BROOKE... YOU ARE SUPER PRECIOUS AND A WONDERFUL SINGER! 🥰🙏✨
Some of my favorite songs include “Indelible” and “King of Kings.” This morning I woke up singing “King of Kings”
Great interview. I love to listen to her songs

2:35 shadowfeet, King of kings, what a beautiful name and desert song.
God bless you all please pray for me and my family
Music? It has to be Worship. Jesus is KING 👑
Fear of God!!! 🙌🙏🤲🙏🙌❤

Hi Brooke
Shadowfeet is the best for sure, and CS Lewis song.

Whats the story behind the title "Eight"?
❤❤
Love the content! But whoever did the color grading its a bit much. Its a great idea to color it but not the right one for this one.
How popular does a songwriter need to be before air1 will acknowledge their existence?

Jesus Christ is the only way that leads us to salvation.🙏🏾
“I forgive them for putting the wrong milk in my coffee” How big of you
where's the part that she said this? I probably missed it...

She's one of the few hillsong women who doesn't show her b00bs. It's a win!!
She isn't scantily clad which is a W!! But money and materialism are huge idols in the church. Hip, influencer, prosperity church.
Huh?
She never actually answers a question 😂
