I've been living in Korea for a year, and if you are a foreigner and you don't look asian (like me) you will often hear: 와~ 한국어를 정말 잘하시네요. wich means "woah your Korean is really good", even though your Korean isn't that good, I find that really lovely and inspiring to continue with my Korean studies.

Could someone explain me WHEN you pronounce the ㅅ as an ''s'' and when you pronounce it as a ''t''
i read something about a batchim position but it doesn't seem to apply in all cases
the sentences from this lesson with an ㅅ were all pronounced as an ''s''
i am very confused now >__
As far as I know, ㅅ/ㅆis pronounced as "t" if it is a batchim followed by a word-starting-with-consonant. In this video, words with ㅅ/ㅆ at the end are followed by words beginning with ㅇ so you have to link them together, for example 있어 should be read as 이써. The rule is still applicable. Hope this helps ^^

+Thao Vo it really did! thankyou so much ^^
+Diede Venderbosch Hi Diede,
Thank you for posting.
The batchim 'ㅅ' is pronounced 'ㄷ' (t), but when the word following starts with the consonant 'ㅇ', it is pronounced as 'ㅅ'(s) or 'ㅆ'(ss).
For example:
했다-->해따
있어서-->이써서
것이다---->거시다
