It's great to see the little boats bob around like a fishing bobber and the big boats just plow through like a tiger tank, barely affected by the waves.
I think its funny out of all those people the only guy that could read the waves was the guy in the "JAWS" power boat at 10:37. He was the only one that didn't jam the throttle open and pound the waves like a jet ski or a moron. He got the timing of the waves down and used the throttle to stay in time and was the most smooth out of everyone. I don't think most people know how bad pounding the waves stresses a fiberglass hull and will stress crack it and ruin your boat!
I remember, mid sixties, running in & out, of Bakers Haulover, in an 18' Imperial (v-bottom), with a SINGLE 40 hp Johnson (ob) to go out 3 - 5 miles, and troll the "weed line", for Dolphin, Mackerel, etc. Sat, and/or Sun, weather permitting. GREAT MEMORIES ! ! !
@zipzappower, if you pause this video at 13:40 there is a dolphin or big fish about a 2milimeters from you blue zipzap power logo on the bottom right of the screen .
A thought...for some of the yacht's that come through, maybe annotate the vid (but not where it's obstructive) so that those of us less astute of which yacht's we're looking at can look them up. But I always enjoy the videos!
beautiful video, my favorite boat cc condenter at 6.50....here in Boston is winter, usually is 3 ft of snow around this time, but so far so good, can't wait for the summer to go out fishing, nice job zip zub power. ..
She is. I've been on a charter one of them (there are two boats with that name in their fleet), good captain and mate, they made sure that my friend's kid hooked up a barracuda for a fun fight.
I really enjoy your videos. The cinematography is superb if I may say so. The array of boats is large and it is interesting to see the skill sets of the different captains. Apart from fishing, where are they all going? (when heading out to sea)
Thanks for the compliment. If the ocean is calm some will sit off the coast and relax, some will go up to Fort Lauderdale or down to Miami on the outside instead of the intracoastal. Some boats head over to Bimini or other islands in the Bahamas, some will go down to the Key Biscayne and south to some islands down there or all the way to the keys.
It is not rough all the time, the last vid is what it looks like a lot of the time and these calm days are what trick a small boat into thinking they can go out without a problem when it is rough. Another contribution is that on the water, you can't tell it is messy until you get in it, it is usually dead calm at the bridge and a third of the way through the inlet. I also try to make a point of filming on the rougher days.. there is usually more funny/cool action when it is rough.
I ask because I have a 17' bowrider, an older sunbird I/O. Where I am I make it a point to avoid this sort of area. And if it's unavoidable I at least cover my bow.
Thanks! I use a Canon 5D MK III, Canon 70-200 2.8 L Lens, with a 2x extender when needed, Sennheiser MKE-400 Mic (I need to get back to the Senn 416 tho) and the most important part, the fluid head video tripod... Sachlter Ace L Carbon Fiber amzn.to/2iWg5bm
ive got a nautic star 19 xs, i keep my "life jackets" in the console area under mountains of fishing gear, if you arent confident enough to swim or feel safe with out one, you shouldn't be going offshore much less through the inlets. id rather not travel with them and have room for m,ore batteries and gear but the coast guard requires i have them on board. If i taek someone out and they ask for one, i literally say no
Clearly you're not a boater, or at least a boater in this type of enviornment. Which is perfectly ok. Certain scenarios call for life jackets, most of what you see in these videos do not. Kids should wear them at all times however.
Most people don't realize how little time they would last in the water without life jackets. .. Humans aren't fish....and a boater in the water may have a long wait for rescue.,hence a greater chance of drowning.
Man oh man that thing at 4:55 was HIDEOUS. Azimut I'm guessing? I've seen barges that look better designed than that! But I'll always be a sportfisher guy so I'm biased...
What you have here is a bunch of inconsiderate cowards and neophytes who had the money to buy a boat but never learned how to propertly use it. They could all travel at no-wake speed and save each other from their wake. 8:57 knows what he's doing. This would be a calm day at Grand Haven, Michigan channel and it's a posted no-wake zone til almost the end.
I dunno what is so satisfying about watching you videos. Great job.
It's great to see the little boats bob around like a fishing bobber and the big boats just plow through like a tiger tank, barely affected by the waves.
Nothing like the two Azimuts. Style, looks, quality and steadfast through the rough without any motion. The best boats.
I don't know how I got to this channel and now I can't stop watching this
Lol, i hear you, i found myself addicted to motorcycle vids in California.
Never gets old seeing these badass boats ripping through the inlet
Agree, I wish they all would rip through, it'd make for better vids!
Amen
12:00 is an absolutely badass cruiser. Mean and lovely at the same time.
I think its funny out of all those people the only guy that could read the waves was the guy in the "JAWS" power boat at 10:37. 9:07 awesome trimming skills.
so bad that it had to be on purpose.
lol yeah
I don't think that was on purpose, I think he was just an idiot.
Yeah that didn't look right.
Yeah dude doesn't know how to trim the boat. Can't even see over the bow.
That last shot was beautiful
that's what it looks like 90% of the time...
good forvyoú
@zipzappower, if you pause this video at 13:40 there is a dolphin or big fish about a 2milimeters from you blue zipzap power logo on the bottom right of the screen .
nice spot, I wonder what it was, i'm thinking a ray of some sort since i don't see a dorsal fin?
You got very good eyes sir. Nice catching!
Tarpon
Thanks for posting your videos, they are truly amazing, brings back memories of watching boats on Lake Erie
You're welcome!
4:27 Best boat of the day
video+beer=chill
Farkin jet skis are a pain in the arse!
Safety Sally doesn't like kids on the bow flopping around.
Really enjoy these vids. Makes me wish I was near the ocean.
11:57 😮awesome boat
Haha, at 5:01 the capt of the 55S rolls down the window to greet you!
cool, I didn't notice that shaka! thanks for catching that!
Shoutout to all the Bal Harbour Elementary Alumni!!!!!! To everyone else welcome to paradise!!!
ZIP ZAP ROCKS!! OH YEAH, HE DOES!!
Thanks Dan!
That dusky was solid.
A thought...for some of the yacht's that come through, maybe annotate the vid (but not where it's obstructive) so that those of us less astute of which yacht's we're looking at can look them up. But I always enjoy the videos!

thanks! you're not the only watcher sitting in freezing temps watching these vids and dreaming of summer!
just across that bridge is the best sandbar in south florida
yessss lol
That Therapy IV was a nice lookin old battle wagon
She is. I've been on a charter one of them (there are two boats with that name in their fleet), good captain and mate, they made sure that my friend's kid hooked up a barracuda for a fun fight.
Mannn that Everglades was hauling ass great video 👍🏻
Thanks!
7:39 the smart ones are the ones doing 10 12 knots, smoothest even than bigger boats
I love your channel !!!!!!!
I'm happy to hear that!
Trim those outboards in!!!!!
out oitbards trim ouyt
i am surprised some of these do not slam the trim tabs down when going through this rough section.
Great videos! Would love it though if you displayed the boat models in a subtle manner. Thanks for your content!
Thanks.. check the new vids.. boat model and make displayed!
I think I’ve seen that center console “Dusky” boat in Marathon before.
I like the boats with no pointy noses
I really enjoy your videos. The cinematography is superb if I may say so. The array of boats is large and it is interesting to see the skill sets of the different captains. Apart from fishing, where are they all going? (when heading out to sea)

Wow you guys are really fortunate to have so much available. Bimini looks beautiful.
Where are they going? Offshore to meet the drug freighter.
Boat at 11:18 is beautiful.
I think many of these boats with 3-4 motors would do just fine with 2.
But then no one would know how big your peepee is
No because 4 motors is obviously faster than 2 motors. Nothing wrong with liking a little speed, better than doing drugs and shit.
We did this, regularly, in an 18' v hull and a SINGLE ) 40 hp Johnson
And that’s why u don’t need to think
No they wouldn’t, some boats need three to go at their average cruising speed + that is the way and speed the boat is designed for.
I’m not familiar with this area. I get where the guys with the rods are going. But where are the pleasure boaters going? Just out for a ride?
Yes, just out for a ride. The boaters chill at the sand bar then run out the inlet for the fun in the bumps and then run around off the coast.
I bet the first guy in the red boat comes in trimmed all the way down on a following sea. Chad
If this place is so consistently rough why do so many small boats attempt it so often?
It is not rough all the time, the last vid is what it looks like a lot of the time and these calm days are what trick a small boat into thinking they can go out without a problem when it is rough. Another contribution is that on the water, you can't tell it is messy until you get in it, it is usually dead calm at the bridge and a third of the way through the inlet. @Plutonium 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
I thought the Yamaha jet boat would stuff the bow for sure - not a bad captain
that was a seadoo
chief dose good run jet boàt
3:31 is that hull buster?
Yall should do another dodge
I like the new ending! Keep the great videos coming. What gear are you using to film?
ZipZapPower thanks for the info
Doesn't get much smoother than Intrepid.
jeff M I wondered if anyone else thought so too.
jeff M agreed but the sea vees and contenders just plow right through too.
Also doesn't get much better build quality than Intrepid
jeff M nothing goes to sea like a contender
have you ever had a wake come up to where you were standing?
Not the wake actual wake, but the splashes from the wake hitting the rocks has drenched me a few times.
This would make a great full time cam. To check the conditions and crowds any time. Can you just stay out there? :)
Can that first sportfishing boat clear the bridge with those outriggers all the way out??
Surely they can go faster and trim bow up more 😂
I'm surprised you haven't caught a midnight express
Cesar Cruz I saw one in, I think , Memorial Day video. One holiday anyway. Pretty boat
Big money boats.
Why does the water flow out like that? Outgoing tide?
yes, the tidal current can be strong here.
Whatever happened to ZipZap?
Fun Fact.... apparently there's a nude beach at the Haulover. I heard
Ducknell Duck yes fat women in there 70's and gay dudes of all ages not worth walking to take a peek
Can a grizzly tracker 16 foot boat go trough this water
with the a qualified captain, pretty much any boat can go through this, it really isn't that rough compared to other inlets around the world.
ZipZapPower thanks for the info
If you notice all the contender owners know how to drive
What's the beast at 8:15 ?
The Sportfish in background is a charter, either SPELLBOUND or THERAPY IV. The boat running hard over the waves is an Everglades, probably a 360 LXC
What is the name of the boat at 8:14?
I thinks it a Boston whaler outrage
nonthing suprise with this type of wave with all the big hp engine and boat, come to our place,Malaysia we only use 15 hp engine.
Sui Chiok Tan do they have piña coladas in Malaysia?
9:11 classic
lildeena1 ah yes, the ole wheelie
Id never go on his boat again
9:04 trim man
Whats the boat brand/model at 1:47? Thx
linkspyder might be a fountain
linkspyder or a see vee
the boat at 6:08 in the back was Somali pirates
nice spotted, you have to be careful out there!
No curve on the horizon
Not really a day to go out in a small boat, as you'll have seen the bigger the boat, the better able it is to handle the swell without slapping.
And nobody wears a life jacket......
ive got a nautic star 19 xs, i keep my "life jackets" in the console area under mountains of fishing gear, if you arent confident enough to swim or feel safe with out one, you shouldn't be going offshore much less through the inlets. id rather not travel with them and have room for m,ore batteries and gear but the coast guard requires i have them on board. Practically nobody here is in any danger of capsizing, unless they collide. They could power down and ride the surf and not be in danger.
Gimme some Boston whalers,,,,I Wana see what they can do.... $$$
8:41 that boat is so low its gonna sink :S
how can you buy a boat like that?? :)
It's perfect for the lake
@@lorenzocaimano184 its a yamaha jet boat some people on youtube even run them out to bimini lol
Man oh man that thing at 4:55 was HIDEOUS. Azimut I'm guessing? I've seen barges that look better designed than that! But I'll always be a sportfisher guy so I'm biased...
I guess you're not required to wear life jackets in the us?
Nope, not wear them, but required to have them and other saftey gear on board. There may be an under age requirement to wear, but i dont know.
Truthfully, it’s an accident waiting to happen.
9:52 what is that shit in the air wtf
Ну и проходной двор
