Ships in this tier have almost no aa defense. On tiers 7 and above the amount of aa and the damage it causes makes this look like flying for American airlines.
Very professional play for a tier IV player, it must be some playing from long long time.
I'm actually a tier X player, I simply hoped down to hosho on a dare. Given how broken the ship is I soon found myself on the breadboards and holding the Kill record for the ship. I'm currently trying to do the same with Langley though its an 8 kill record meaning i need to get 9.
Hi, I just started recent'y and I just got the langley. Any tips to learn CVs? Im not too bad, I have done many 60k games and a 139k dmg game in my wickes.

For those confused as I was with how there are 2 torp bombers per attack flight here instead of one, I'll explain.
This isn't because of some modification, camo, flag, commander skill, etc. (I've checked extensively as I'm playing Hosho right now). This was before Hosho got nerfed around update 0.9.12, with her torp flight being reduced from 6 aircraft to 5, and the attack flight getting halved down to 1. Furthermore, the number of torp bombers "on deck" got reduced to 8 around that time and the restoration time of the aircraft was increased. A shame for me trying to grind the Japanese carriers today, but something that should probably be noted for those puzzled by the replay.

bolastube yeah that should be a thing but I guess Wargaming doesn't really like the idea of torps and a plane as a missile. But the real question is: has anyone tried dropping torps RIGHT ABOVE the target so it is a bomb?

@@fatsausagedog3818 a torp has an arming distance you cant use it as a bomb (maybe to kill some crew unlucky enough to be hit by a 3 meter steel tube)

The big problem is, carriers were rebalanced at tier 7+, where the number of planes they used to have was so high they rarely ran out, and cruisers have an 'insta-win' button that kills all planes within 5km of the cruiser.
At tier 4 it is completely different - AA is virtually non existent, but running out of planes was a BIG problem, tier 4 carriers generally only had enough for one and a half full flights and then they were completely dry, so you had to take good care of every plane. Now however they have unlimited jets, so this guy send out around TWENTY full flights of only the best planes (torp bombers) and dosnt even have to go near his die bombers and attack ships!

It is low tier that's why it does so much damage I is 117562 damage against tier 5 in standard battle with the Hosho

@@son_of_jambo2835 in my case it's normally the team lacking cohesion and them all going to go do their own thing and I'm limited in what I can do since Japanese planes are free kills at later tiers. You might get better results playing with some competent fans it joining up with an active clan
I’m currently playing WoWs blitz, and to be honest, aircraft carriers on pc is too op compare to their mobile version, 6 planes in a squadron and you can even control them.

Yes but its just a test event
Planes are not unlimited. you find that out a tier 6 and tier 8 you have to think about your attacks. Avoid ships with high AA and pick off isolated targets. At tier 4 you might lose 1 or 2 planes in a flight if you carelessly fly over an aa bubble.

Due to such WG shit with adding even 6 CVs on map in lowest tier games where ships have no AA this is unplayable trush and idiot balance crime.

Sorry to be the negative one here, but 10 kills with only 189K damage. I get 210K easy with only 3 kills. Stop kill stealing and actually help your team. Oh and you do have more than torpedo planes, you know that right? ... If it wasn't clear I am talking about my own Hosho games. Where as my higher tiered games are a completely different story, as the second I spot and enemy cruiser my whole squadron is shot down in a single flak burst.

I saw your comment and thought I'd shed some light.
Hosho has AP bombs and he rockets yes, though if you're a skilled player you don't use either of those armaments. Hosho's torpedo squadrons deal more damage than her AP bombers, at a more consistent rate. If you're clever about your positioning you'll actually never run out of torpedo bombers. By the end of this game I still had a full squadron on hand at all times which helps you maintain control of your damage, and the map around you.
Also 210k in a Hosho consistently? Call me impressed! But then why does your account have a damage record of only 107,226 damage? And your PR in the Hosho is only 2025? Your winrate is decent, though the statistics attached to your account don't match your claims?
While I appreciate your outlook, and I'm more than happy to offer advice- It's not very wise to lie about your own statistics.
You can turn the ability for other players to view your stats off by selecting the "Hide your stats" check box in team roster menu in game.
@@funnyhappyharry746 I think you have the wrong persons stats there buddy, also I most play T8-T10 so saying that my all time damage record is only 107,226 is a flat out lie. While I still have yet to crest the fabled 300,000, I have done a few 240,000 in Montana and Iowa. 210,000 is my record with Hosho due to a prefect balance of enough heavy cruisers, and battleships to bomb, and using my torps and rockets on the light cruisers and destroyers.
I'm just saying I saw a lot of "Kill securing" in this game and you only using your slowest planes, while the rest of your team was getting picked off one by one. A good carrier player can shift the battle where they want it to be, eg. using torps to turn ships into broadside for your own ships, keeping destroyers spotted until they give up and turn back, and so on. Most of my carrier games that go good (a good few, but not most) result in total domination with only one or two of my ships sank.
As far as the stats you are seeing, I theorize that Wargaming has issues with their stat tracking. Mainly because it still says that my Svietlana was the last ship of mine to achieve a Kraken, when I got one with my Montana a few months later. I think we can both agree also that games like the one in the video are a rarity, so come at me with all the low stat shaming you want, but I too have had full weeks of strait loses at every tier. Going from winning a 1 vs 6 in my Bismarck, to not even being able to deal any damage at all in a Midway.

The player statistics for world of warships is accurate despite your theorizing. I can see your highest damage in Montana is exactly 212,773. Your damage record in Iowa is 210,094. Very respectable numbers. However your record in Hosho is in fact 107,226. Not 210,000.
You have actually never broken 200,000 damage in an aircraft carrier. Which is understandable as the class isn't for everyone. It's a vastly different style of gameplay, which while for many is easy to pick up, can be a struggle for others. Just like how I don't play destroyers, because that class isn't something i'm particularly good at yet.
These stats are not taken from your in game achievement page, this is actually direct statistics from a connected website/data base for all world of warships players who's stats are not hidden.
Your best class is actually Cruisers, and battleships.
For some background on me, I'm the aircraft carrier main for QQ7, A clan that has now reached Hurricane, and is currently competing in KOTS XI. I am by no means the base player in my clan, though I am particularly specialized in aircraft carriers.
Sorry if these findings aren't to your approval, I have no intentions, need or want to stat shame another player. I am just reading off your confirmed database. If you have a sceenshot of your game you'd like to provide to prove this website wrong- I'd be glad to reach out to the dev team behind the database and have your page corrected. Otherwise I have no reason to believe you. You might have thought you did 210k, though you're not going to reach that level of damage at tier VI with rockets, and ap bombs. Torpedos are your highest and most consistent source of damage.
