FUCK YEAH!! I have Afro Leather and I'm STOKED to see you gave it some love! VERY solid review my guy! Now, I had a sample of the Memo version of this and I was just like you, I absolutely fell in LOVE with the scent! Unfortunately, I HATED the price tag though! Luckily, I saw THIS beauty and blind bought it immediately and haven't looked back since! Despite it's name being inspired by Omfufu from the African Bush's Cornrows A.K.A. Randy Watson sportin' that Soul-Glo, Afro Leather has become one of my absolute favorite fragrances in my collection of around 500 bottles!! Now I gotta grab African Leopard since Afro Leather is so damn good! I was gonna grab a backup bottle anyway so why not Paris Corner's inspiration? Hey Cuba, howzabout grabbing that one too and doing a battle?? I've heard that African Leopard is good too plus it's a 120ml vs Afro Leather being an 80ml. Just a heads up bro, African Leopard is on Amazon right now for $55 if you're interested in grabbing it, I'd love to hear you take on it!

Tati, OMG that is so cool ole skool name. Frag Addict here too, collecting since 1974. Perez must be Bori. Cuba is on point with this house. Maison Alhambra is an expert genius or has one of the worlds most advance Spectrum Descriptive Analysis Machines, because the detail, and many of his creations (I wont even call clones some are way better) come out with better sillage & note transition than even Tom Fords Private. The quality makes one thing clear; this business is excessively over priced. You can split a handball court in half with the quality of some of Maisons bottles OMG....Cuba is the man. Now in Jersey with most of us NYers. Our favorite chunky rice & beans DJ in now married slim & trim influencing El Mondo. Good work Cuba. Pero Tati tu esta Aye dios mio

Just got it few days back , and immediately enjoyed the opening - which is away pretty quick and goes a bit ‘barnyard’ , the second thing I realised is - it needs maceration cos it doesn’t seem to stay. Am going to put it on the shelf for 6 months . A couple of other mid easterns - were so much better after sitting, even 3 months. Qaaed al fursan I could barely smell and it was confused- then after 3 or 4 months it became the fragrance everyone raved about 🍍🍍🍍, same with kismet (m Alhambra) - the change in them was phenomenal. Asad has improved greatly also , although it was good straightaway. There’s advantages to having a largish collection . Nice one 🐆

I just got this one yesterday... today i took a showa and then sprayed this like I spray polo blue edp... needless to say I got a headache lol. This one is powerful. Yesterday when I got it I sprayed on my arm and the rest of the day I kept on delighting on it smell. After my showa today in the morning I still smelled it. It smells very good but you have to have some experience with arab fragrances, because it can get overwhelming for new noses. When I first bought Oud Wood and smelled it I was very sad because I hated it the first day. Then you learn to love these raw and animalic fragrances.

I have a clone called African leopard from Paris corner it's pretty decent on my skin 6 hours
If anyone can this stuff that you can bath in it, then it is very similar to home fragrance Locherber Milano Banksia. I love it. Because of you I ordered this bottle blind and it stuned me! I even do not know if I want to change it to Memo's original. This stuff is georgeous! And in my country for 16 bucks is it nobrainer!

What a coincidence I actually wore African Leather today. I have a decant 10 ml decant I love it and I’m definitely pulling the trigger on it eventually. So it must be meant for me to grab Afro Leather for a fraction of the price.

I have it and it’s close to memo but after a xplosion of “promise ” longevity … just disappears :/
I'm glad you took my advice and reviewed this. As I mentioned before I get a Camphorous note off skin in the beginning which dries down with more Leather and Florals. 80% Close but at less than £20 it's belting..

Just got mine delivered, and sprayed first 2 on wrist. Damn sh!t strong not sure if that’s the way it should smell. Or need to spray more in air and let it sit so it’ll macerate. Any advice?

How is performance of afro leather
I think they are really close. In direct comparison you might recognize differences, but spraying it single I could hardly tell whether it's the original or Maison Alhambra.
Clone like any other clone. Cheap synthetic with top notes rip-off and that's it.
I have doubts about buying, but not because of the price, but because the last time I bought something with leather and like chocolate it really gave me an atrocious experience (Sabha Wa Oud Cambodi by Rihanah is horrible, it smells like manure), I still think I take a risk

well, its not that unique, it has Terre DHermes profile for sure my latino friend... although I agree that's a beautiful scent, huge projection, beast sillage and astounding longevity. but, TDH came first. abraços!
I've had some frags with that off-putting cumin b.o. note upon spraying it and I just can't do it. I know it smells different in the dry down but still.... Why??? If I can't enjoy it from start to finish there's no point.

I found with these clones, you have to go outside and air spray about 10 times before you actually get what’s it should smell like. I had to do that with Cedrat Boise, not a clone, but still had to do it because all I was getting was smokey

It's Good but my Lady it is no where near Memo African leather the reviewers are lying to you they are paid to say good things about perfumes the perfume is Good and smells good but if you want a clone to African leather stay away from this one because your gonna waste your money on dissatisfaction I would say African is in a realm of it's own and afro is in another realm I would be lying if I said it smells 50% similar maybe 35% that's even you knowing this is a African leather clone if you don't know this a clone of African you would say Good Perfume that doesn't smell like nothing I've smelled it's good I'm not gonna lie but I'm disappointed because I wanted it to be at least 70% similar it's not even half that look for another alternative maybe try paris corner I haven't tried it but I will for it over afro even when I don't know the paris corner smell the reviewer/other reviewers fooled me I will not let them fool another one
