I don't think I'll ever experience a game like this, it's just special and perfect. I'm so scared this will be the best game I'll ever play in my life.
It really is a journey unlike any other. Having already experienced the best that video games have to offer is definitely a weird thought to swallow, but we’re lucky to never really know what’s coming next. There’s always excitement for games on the horizon, just as there was for Outer Wilds at one point.
I feel the same way a lot of the time, but then i’m forced to realize that I’m missing the point of the game if I do that… Then I miss the game again 😅 Being human is difficult. this game told me that things die/end and that’s okay because it happened…but that doesn’t make it any easier to move on from things you love. I guess its ironically human that the outer wilds community loves to relive the game through other people’s playthroughs, and the music, years after its release
Don't be scared, you can always find something interesting, Outer Wilds doesn't cover all existing mechanics, plots and genres. Just because Outer Wilds is great doesn't mean, that you can''t have fun with other great games. Disco Elysium, Baba is You, Doom Eternal, Ultrakill, Slay the Spire. Just a random list of good and popular games from my mind, Outer Wilds doesn't compete with them, they give different tasks, emotions or plots.

I have always founded this kind of covers of covers most fitting for the game. I think that most likely how everything sounded on the Eye: cozy and very natural, not very clear, just a bunch of friends playing around the campfire.

If you don’t have the time to play, can I recommend Playframe? He does a full playthrough, finds all the lore, and does occassional lore catchup timeline stuff. This game had such an effect on me and the song does bring me to tears but in a good way.
If you enjoy the song so much, I highly recommend playing the game, it really adds to the song, and there are many incredible soundtracks in the game and the dlc. BTW, in case you haven't heard already, go into the game with as little knowledge about it as possible. If u already know the story that's ok too, but it's better the less you know, in case you ever wanted to play.

I played the game for the first time in 2024 so I was a bit late to the party, but it left such an impact on me and I really loved it and the soundtrack - Travelers, 14.3 Billion Years and the main theme especially. Love the way you shot this cover too, the performers and videographer both killed it - a really fitting tribute to the game!

First of all, this was amazing, well done to everyone involved! the flute part really made me want to pick up flute again. Second - this piece in particular always makes me cry. There's a lot of impactful moments in the game, but when I lined up all the instrument frequencies for the first time? Just undid something in me. This performance captured that perfectly.
It’s such an amazing piece, and outside of the ending scene, it can only be heard played all together if you’re very far away from all of the planets. I remember being blasted away and, feeling so hopeless while so far away from anything else in the solar system, pulling out my signal scope only to hear all the travelers playing together. You guys did a great job with this cover! I played the game for the first time in 2024 so I was a bit late to the party, but it left such an impact on me and I really loved it and the soundtrack - Travelers, 14.3 Billion Years and the main theme especially. Love the way you shot this cover too, the performers and videographer both killed it - a really fitting tribute to the game!
Thanks so much for the kind comment! I was also very late to the party. I finished the game in early September of 2024, and a month later, we filmed this video. I’m still actively thinking about the game almost every day, honestly!

First of all, this was amazing, well done to everyone involved! the flute part really made me want to pick up flute again.
Second - this piece in particular always makes me cry. There's a lot of impactful moments in the game, but when I lined up all the instrument frequencies for the first time? Just undid something in me. This performance captured that perfectly.
It’s such an amazing piece, and outside of the ending scene, it can only be heard played all together if you’re very far away from all of the planets. I remember being blasted away and, feeling so hopeless while so far away from anything else in the solar system, pulling out my signal scope only to hear all the travelers playing together. It was such a beautiful moment.

Beautiful performance from all of you, the cover felt so genuine, and it clearly shows you loved the game as much as pretty much everyone who was lucky enough to play it. The aesthetic, how each "traveler" shows and leaves one by one, starting with the banjo and ending with the banjo. This was magestic, thank you for making this beautiful video come to life! Everyone who played Outer Wilds, (and even those that couldn't have the pleasure yet) , will love this cover you made!
