    Kanola oil contains a lot of volnerable polyunsaturated oils which spoil quickly . Why not to try coconut oil which contains mainly saturated fats?

    Hey can you do me a very very big favour and make a short clip of the rearbrake caliper mount of that scott sportster? I have an attacama frame as project but with v brake mounts. The frames seems to be exact the same. If there is a possibility for discs it would change the whole project. What a amazing coincidence :D

    1 - A
    2 - it will apply mutch more tension on the stand bracket
    3 - all moving parts, such as drivetrain, chain, derailleur, suspensions and dropper post

  • @Shezaad18
    @Shezaad18 2 года назад +1

    1. A. Yes you can
    2. If the bicycle is horizontal then it can put undue tension on where the bicycle is clamped as well as the stand itself.
    3. The moving parts, so the drivetrain, the damper, the front suspension fork and dropper post.

    I am 15 and I have a bike fixing business and I always go through with the customers how to properly lube their chain because 9 times out of 10 they put the live everywhere over everything then the jockey wheels get clogged, chain is black from grease and there is significant wear on all drivetrain components.

    1. A
    2. Because the bike may not be equilibrated and fall down
    3. clean and lubricate the chain and drivetrain and also suspension parts & dropper post. Basically moving parts

  • @martinhoude3518

    1) A
    2) Because if you remove a part, such as wheel, you may upset the balance of the bike, causing either damage to the stand or making the stand fall, possibly damaging the bike as well.
    3) Any moving parts.
    Question #1 from me: I noticed an old frame with the derailleur on the wheel axle! I have a similar frame on a bike, with the following issue: where to find a derailleur that can be attached there? That spacer attachment does not exist anymore, and it's not an easily removable/changeable part. When I wanted to replace the derailleur, I found I could not. Meanwhile, that stabilizing screw hole is difficult to access when in a pinch (the cassette side nut is impossible to hold on to without a closed spanner).
    Question #2: Dutch bikes tend to be heavy. Mine is also built for heavy duty, and it is REALLY heavy. It takes all my strength to pull up to the stand; then the height is not great since I can't put it high. It's also impossible to elevate after clamping, since the weight makes it impossible to have enough leverage. I have a stand similar to one in the video (with the red grip). Do you have tricks outside brute strength?
    Question #3: How about suspending a bike from the ceiling? Sometimes, wall space is at a premium...

    1. A
    2. Puts more tension on the stand plus rear shock can be in the way. not ideal for my cheap bikestand.
    3. Drivetrain plus all moving parts on forks and rear shock.

    haha everytime I'm at a store with my mtb and I have to use those stupid bike rack thingies. I always hated using them because ppl here or the wind will try and ruin the rims. With my mtb..the moment I want to leave I lift up the entire rack with some other bikes cause my wheel is stuck in there. And I live in the fucking Netherlands..the country made for bikes.
    Love your content

    I had to leave my bike outdoors a few times and my bike's chain has... Rusted? I heard someone say that it's not rust. Help!
    Video suggestion: a "normal people" video where you take no maintenance of your bike for a month whilst leaving it outdoors regularly - how to fix the bike after.

    Do you ride that jump bike?

  • @MrDpak
    @MrDpak 2 года назад

    1. A. Yes
    2. Because it puts more tension on the teeth of the bike stand and also on the clamped part of the bicycle i.e. commonly the dropper post.
    3. Drive Train, Damper, Suspension fork, and Dropper Post - parts that move and can cause wear and tear due to friction or being dirty.

  • @sdbinder
    @sdbinder 2 года назад

    1- (A) Yes, you can clamp the dropper post. Not too tight.
    2 - because the bike will be ‘cantilevered’ which will cause stress to the bike/seat post and work stand itself.
    3 - Drive train - cassette, chain, chainring, and both derailleurs.

    Hi. Are there any issues to hanging the bike on the wall with the rear wheel up? Required when there’s multiple bikes and little space so alternating front wheel/ rear wheel up between bikes saves space.
