More exhausts equal two cylinders next two eachother which doesn't ignite simultaneously. Had they, a two into-one would be no problem. The poit with a two stroke exhaust, an expansion chamber, is to create a pressure wave which helps keep new fuel in the cylinder and not flow out in the exhaust pipe and be wasted. : )
2 strokes cause no more pollution than diesel or petrol 4 stroke engines. If you could SEE the particles given off by a petrol 4 stroke engine, like a car.... it would be WORSE than a big rigs smoke cloud after towing 23k lbs up a 7% grade.

When warmed up my bike uses about a litre of 2 stroke additive, around every 600 miles. Very little smoke when running correctly.
