hello, how is the rooting working? i just made today kinda the same way, do you have other tips now after a month or any progress? by the way great video keep on going
I’ve lost a little over 50% of the cuttings, but I’m learning a lot! I reached out to my boss and friend at the flower farm, and she shared some really valuable tips that line up with what I’ve learned in horticulture and emphasize just how important these steps are. Tip 1: Use a sanitized box cutter to trim the branch. The snips I used were pinching the vascular system, which was disconnecting the hydrogen bond. You can sanitize between each cut with hydrogen peroxide. Tip 2: Get a rooting hormone that's a number 8 or higher. A stronger one will give the best results. Tip 3: Pour the hormone into a separate bowl to avoid cross-contaminating any disease. While I wait to see how these cuttings turn out, I’m working on a second video where I’ll apply all this new info plus, I’ll be using a perlite propagation box. It might sound a bit technical, but trust me, it’ll all come together! I’ve successfully propagated a lot of trees, but this plant is a tricky one, and it makes sense that I’ve had a few setbacks. But I’m determined to find the right method and make this work!
Really appreciate you sharing your plant knowledge 🙏🌱
