Have you checked how many amperes you get at the output of the solar panel when you use it indoors? When I measure amps with direct sunlight with the window open - I get 0.3-0.4 amps, and through the glass only 0.1 amps, and I gave up charging battery this way because it takes too long.
It would be more beneficial to use the solar panel in a way that it receives direct light. In the video, the circuit has been tested indoors to show that it works.
