Hi, I'm in the process of building a 6x6ft one. I'm stumped on building the windows and putting the hinges on. Can you do a video on the windows please, so I can see how they look assembled thanks.

Silicone around all panel edges, both sides will go a long way.
It will greatly help with insulation and will keep the panels in place when it is windy out.
Bubble wrap can also help gain a few degrees in the winter.
These stickers are applied on another protective sheet you could peel (before applying silicone).
At least it was for mine.
Best of luck and thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the tip. I'll check the stickers but I'm sure they were on the actual sheet. More insulation? Blimey, it holds nearly 20°C above the outside temperature when the sun is out already! I have a digital thermometer that reads up to 50°c and it made the screen black out a few times?😮 I'm going to see how it is in winter and was considering silicone so it's good to know you've tried it with positive results. For anyone else reading this, the panels on mine were a very tight fit, way better than the previous greenhouse I had. We've already had really strong winds and all is good, but the neighbours trees/bushes on the side the wind comes from are probably helping to disperse the guests. All in all, roughly 6 months on, very pleased.

@@MrJules39 Hello from Portland, Oregon, USA. On day 3, but we can’t get the panels to stay in place. Recommendations?

@@melissahand6485 heloo Oregon! I've got a breedlove guitar from there! Made in Bend, never actually been there though. I can't help with your problem I'm afraid, as I said, my panels were actually pretty difficult in a few cases to put in. None of them were in the slightest bit loose. Must have just been lucky with mine, from other comments about these, I think the QC leaves a bit to be desired. We've had really strong winds ( for the UK) the last couple of weeks and all is good. Hope you get yours sorted.

Hi Mr Jules, I'm thinking about buying this green house. I have a question about the measurements since I have a space of 2.40x2.40m because I have structural limitations on the sides and I was wondering if the door could be installed so that it opens inwards and not outwards? If it's not too much trouble, could you also provide me with the front length of the green house, the specifications say it is 190 m but is it exactly like that?

Hi, is this still up and standing?

    • @MrJules39
      @MrJules39  7 месяцев назад +4

Haha! Why, because I didn't fix it in the ground? 😂 It is indeed still standing my friend, but it does have a fence next to it on the left that buffers the worst of the wind. I wouldn't fancy it's chances if you didn't have some kind of wind protection. Gets blisteringly hot inside, generally around 20°C above the outside temperature when the sun is out. It's bloody cold in England presently, 12 degrees roughly in the day. It's over 30 in the greenhouse. Still very happy with it, just having to be careful on a rare hot day as it's been about 48 degrees in there! And it was only around 24 outside. Toms and chillies got a bit stressed that day!

Hi from Manchester..I am toying with idea of buying this exact model of greenhouse...which I hope to mount on an old concrete garage base. Would you have the exact base frame measurements...as these measurements are critical in my case. I am hoping the internal troughs will add some rigidity. rgds Evan

Also (forgot to ask) did you make a video of the actual construction..as I believe the provided instructions are not very helpful. I too woulds be assembling on my own.

Hello! Do you mind sharing where you got your rain collection system from? Thank you!

Hi there, it's from Wickes - they're a UK chain if you're in a different country. The guttering comes with the greenhouse, the water butt, base and little downpipe are in a kit from Wickes. Wouldn't buy another one though, there's quite a pronounced lean to the butt now, seems like the plastic moulding on one side of the base isn't quite as thick as the other side. Could be the ground isn't dead flat too I suppose 🤷🏼‍♂️

@@MrJules39 Thank you so much for replying. I will have to find something similar but hopefully without the same issue! I'm in the U.S. so I will be on the hunt. Thank you!

Hello from Portland Oregon USA. I found your video very helpful as you know well the instructions are not that good.
We are having problems getting all the polycarbonate panels to stay in the grooves all at the same time. Recommendations? We’re on
Also, the stickers are on the removable film that is also on,the inside of the panels.
    We are on day 3🙁
