Oh !! my, what a beautiful story, this story is an 11 out of 10, if anyone reads the comments first, PLEASE listen to this one, I promise you won't be disappointed. In fact I so liked this story that (this is the next day), I came back today and listened again, just for the "feel good" experience it gives me. I thought about adding another comment but as my original was still the only comment, I just edited to add to yesterday's, I love these Japanese stories.
The problem is English speakers don’t speak like this. It needs to be edited by a Japanese and English speaker. Nobody in my career ever speaks about someone being a high school graduate.
No, it's Japanese. All the sociological details are the norm in Japanese society. The Japanese are still a very classist society, who look down on people who "only" have a high school education. So many of these stories stress the importance of graduating from a "prestigious" university.

Great story!
Apape - when pronounced "A gape" means open mouthed, pronounced " a ga pe" is a religious term involving love of the divinity.

The love interests move too quickly to be believable. People in story act almost like middle school kids.
Is this an American story because we don't bow to each other
