Would you rather have RAV4 Hybrid LE or XLE? What RAV4 trim is your fave? What Toyota SUV would you choose overall? Thanks for leaving a comment. Jeff
Jeff, I thought the XLE had a leather wrapped steering wheel 🤔
I got an XLE which is clearly better than LE as illustrated by you.
Jeff do you have a comparison of Venza vs Rav4 hybrid AWD ? a comparison between equally equipped trims between rav4 and Venza. I am thinking to buy either of these in a few months. I want to move over from Prius prime... its very underpowered on engine but excellent power on EV.
@@rightlanehog3151 i think on the winter or cold weather package. I need it in MN.
I order an SE hybrid from Japan because I’d like the battery option better I live in Washington and they can get awfully cold plus the way I order it I’m saving nearly 100 pounds of weight which should show me better gas mileage what do you think and how come you never talk about the difference in batteries
I’ve been shopping for this rav4 hybrid and Jeff has one of the most helpful reviews. We appreciate you a lot 👍🏼
I ordered the LE because $1000-$1500 extra isn’t small change for me. It’s already way more expensive than my last car so I don’t want to keep inching up higher above my means. Basic new car is plenty nice for me and I’m excited to finally get a hybrid SUV.
I'm with you Cathy....I am just about to pull the trigger on a 2022 Rav4 hybrid LE in white and just don't see anything I can't do without for the extra $1,500 coming out of my wallet.
I just got a LE hybrid too
The XLE looks to be the "sweet spot" in the price/options balance. The standard features, both big things like the blind spot monitor/rear cross traffic alert and power driver seat adjustments and the little details like the sunshade extenders, extra USB ports, cargo cover make the extra $1500 worth the price. The price bump up to the XLE Premium doesn't seem to be quite as good a value as the LE to XLE is. One feature that used to be available on the Premium that could have convinced me to step up to that trim level was the two seat position memory buttons, but it doesn't look like that's available on the Premium trim any more, and you have to step up to the Limited. Without that option in the mix, I think I would definitely go for the XLE.
Came for the in-depth look. Stayed for the singing. Just bought a 2022 Hybrid SE based on some of your other videos. Love it so far.
Jeff, I was getting a real kick out of how you were describing these cars. You're my kind of guy...BUT...you stepped it up a notch with your quote from my favorite movie of all time---Grease. Thanks for the "you're cruising for a bruising Craterface" quote. LOL
2 thumbs up for you, my friend!
Just picked up 2022 XLE Ruby red a few weeks ago and we love it so much.
In Canada though the XLE comes standard with all the “weather package” and “convenience package” features. AWD is also standard. So we get everything included. It’s interesting to see the American market has this features as extra.
AWD is standard on all hybrids in the US as well.
@@Riley_1955 yes it may be on hybrids. But from what I’ve seen even the gas models are all AWD here in Canada.
Excellent review. First time viewing your channel. Wish I had known before I signed. Upgraded my hybrid 2020 rav4 le to 2022 xle. Learned a lot about my le that I didn't know. I'm confident I made the right choice for m we. I wanted the moonroof for sure. The extras are nice. Satisfied 😌 I bought just on features alone without viewing the actual. With this economy everything is slower. Had to wait for delivery 🙄. Thanks for showing me an example what to expect!
The XLE was the model I wanted before, but was not in my budget. So I lost, but won!
Thanks so much and that is a great story. I’m glad you’re part of the channel now. Congratulations on your new vehicle
Most places where I live have the both models marked up, but the XLE is $40,000+ which is insane.
Very informative. Just the video i was looking for. Plus you crack me up Jeff 🤣 a bonus 😁
Hi CC!!!
I really enjoyed this review and your sense of humour! I had to make the difficult decision to trade my Jeep Weangler for the Rav-4 hybrid due to high gas prices here in Canada and expecting a baby on the way. This made me feel a lot better about my decision and had me laughing the whole time!
Awesome and thanks!!! Enjoy your new ride :)
Lmao this guy could sell me anything just from making me laugh. The first 30 seconds of the video is just killer 😆👊🏼
Jeff, love your videos man! Currently looking to trade in my ‘13 Tacoma for a RAV4 Hybrid. Man, are those Hybrids hard to find right now. Anywho, can you fit a bicycle in the back of a RAV4 with the rear seats folded down? With our without removing the front wheel of a bicycle? Thanks!
Awesome video and love your humor and delivery!
LE is a better value (at least in Canada where it shares more of what the XLE has standard) and the lights look better imo, the other new ones look odd with the irregular shapes, especially in person
I agree John I think I'm going to order the LE myself.......And keep $1,500 in my pocket.
I would always take the higher trim level.
But then again we bought a Limited Hybrid with the Tech & Weather Packages.
Something about having the 360 Camera and the Front & Rear Sonar that makes the difference for me....
I own the LE in grey Myself… I love it …. I wish I had the XLE….. the XLE was not available when I bought….
Same
My 2022 RAV4 XLE Hybrid is to be delivered this week. The only thing I would like added is fog lights. What I specifically did not want was leather seats or a sunroof. A top-of-the-line stereo would be nice, but not as important to me as fog lights.
I love your reviews, so stinking entertaining! I ordered my '22 Rav4 Hybrid XLE Premium. Just waiting for it to be here!
how much otd
I purchased a 23 hybrid LE. The LE are hard to find. Traded in my XLE for a LE when I realized I don’t care about the extra features. I prefer the manual seats and tailgate. I wish the LE had push start though.
awesome vids jeff. thanks for the help!
Quite a shame that they removed the fog lights off the 2022 XLE Hybrid. 👎🙁
Yeah that bummed me out
@@Toyotajeff Hi Jeff, can fog lights be added back on to the XLE hybrid as an after market dealer installed option?
Believe that the fog lights come on the XLE premium and up
I just got my 22 xle hybrid and was disappointed about the lack of fog lights which was available for 21xle. It is currently not available as a dealer installed option. Also all my old Toyotas had garage openers and I was shocked to discover xle does not. My 12 Sienna LE had it.
@@SamassQ06 Yeah, bummer that Toyota cheaped out here… Maybe it was due to supply shortage. Might be able to install fog light kits as an after market diy or by a third party. However, I’m not even sure if the wiring harnesses are still there for the fog lights and also not sure about the light switch on the light control stalk near the steering wheel.
Wow what timing! I’ve been wanting an XLE for months but my dealer hasn’t gotten any and I’m starting grad school soon so I can’t push the purchase out too much longer… I’m going to the dealer this evening to pick up my new LE!
Fantastic timing! Good luck in grad school!!!!
@@Toyotajeff Thank you!!! I just made my purchase (a hybrid in CA with no markup!?) and couldn't be happier!! It was very hard to give up my '03 Toyota Matrix XRS though... a very fun, reliable vehicle. Though at 20 years old, it was time. And grad school, here I come - in style!!
How has it been so far?
@@owascoshaw It's been great! After a month of ownership, I have no regrets. I over-researched the differences between the XLE and LE before I purchased, making it difficult to go with the LE over waiting for an XLE, but I can honestly say that (for me at least), all the little differences have felt very, very little.
@@sarahspalding9389 congrats on your new RAV4 . It’s scary though, picking up an xse xle and other models is a massive waiting period. I don’t want to feel I need to get something only available just because the others ones are not. But it maybe the case for me too 😔😔
Awesome, thank you so much for this video!
Thanks for the Comparison! I currently have Honda Civic, which has almost 200 K miles. I am looking into Rav4 and CRV hybrid models! As long as I can get to point A to point B and good in gas, I will be ok!
Then if the prices aren't off by much, get the better looking car!
I go for XLE, after seeing your review. Good job. Thanks for the great review.
Any infos about the cable gate with the hybrid and prime from 2019 to 2021 in Canada ? Toyota is MIA in Canada and the 3 years / 60 000 km is near for a lot of people here who own a rav4 hybrid/prime . The winter is really a major factor I guess
XLE going to look at one tomorrow wasn’t sure about hybrid think that will be my choice. Thanks for the video review.
Thanks Jeff....really needed this video. I have a highlander limited, gas and I’m looking to get a rav4 hybrid
I have a 2012 Highlander Limited and will be trading it in for a 2021 or 2022 Rav4, either XLE or Limited.
I needed something visual to tell me if the XLE was worth the $1500. On paper it's no since I just need a basic "go from here to there" vehicle and I'm actively avoiding the price creep that comes from "It's nice and ONLY a couple hundred more." so no heated seats, moonroof (awww), etc. I'm pretty sure you convinced me that those quality-of-life features with the XLE is worth the extra ducats. Ruby Flare with nutmeg interior.
Glad I could help!
Love your colors too
I have a 2021 XLE Premium (from Fred Anderson). A friend has an earlier LE model. Both hybrid. Looking at my premium makes her want to upgrade. Just sayin…
I love the Rav4. XLE is the lowest trim I would go for, though I prefer the XLE Premium.
Thanks for watching William
Thanks for this comment. It's making me think I should go for the XLE Premium.
The XLE looks like a better value for sure but having a true base model is a badge of honor these days, I'd get the LE.
I got rab4 xle hybrid from hillside Toyota this month not yet delivered showroom charge me 37,400$ with moon roof & which is MSR before finance interest rate . Is it ok where they charged for delivery & package charge almost like 1400$ ?
Thanks great video
I received my rav4 xle gas model but really wished I got the hybrid instead. Guess I'm so used to the gas models and totally forgot about the hybrids. My next car will be a hybrid.
Tough choice between the one that has more cool stuff and the one that doesn't
Hi Jeff. What are the updates for the 2023 Toyota Rav.
Thank you for the video
Does the xle comes standard with the touch sensor on the driver door
I love your energy man lol 😄
What's the equivalent for the Australian model? We have gx, gxl, xse, cruiser and edge.
You crack me up Jeff 😂😂😂😂
Does it still have the corrosion problem?
we just purchased the 2022 XLE and we love it!! had to wait 3 months for it. the pricing was a bit off, maybe because of location?
Hybrid?? Where and how much did you pay?
@@das1992 Yes, Hybrid XLE AWD, in Merrillville, IN and we paid $44,878.08
@@aurasomaonebay2455 Ohk, I booked a Rav4 Hybrid LE in Chicago, estimated out the door as of now is $36,000. Added exterior mirror heating ONLY. The final price will only be clear at the time we take delivery. Are you happy with your RAV4? Dealerships don't have the hybrid version available for test drive so curious how it drives. I heard complaints about highway noise..
@@das1992 Yes, the window sticker on ours was $33,007.00. We love it! no road noise at all. I drove it from Merrillville to Milwaukee and it was so quiet. I am in love with it....and you will love yours I'm sure.
The real battle is trying to buy a Rav 4 Hybrid..There are none ......12 months ✋
Are the seats in xle leather or cloth?
Is the plane hybrid too? :-)
When RAV4 will have Toyota safety sense 2.5+ or 3.0?
Probably 2023 model year but I don’t know
I thought the LE trim didn't have dual climate options?
My LE Hybrid came standard with dual zone climate.
This guy is amazing 🙌
How do you have a gray with gray interior le Hybrid? I wasn't able to build one on the configuration tool. Did that interior color stop being available?
I don’t know it was available that way. I haven’t been on the builder lately. Sorry you’re having trouble finding out
Any idea when Toyota will update the interior and infotainment of the RAV4?
The infotainment system is getting updated for some 2023 models
Annoying review and I like it! 👍👍
Hahahaha thanks!! I’ll take it :) I’m glad you watched and I hope you subscribe too
Luxurious nice Suvs
Toyota Jeff, what vehicle do you own?
Venza Limited, Highlander Limited, Camry LE, Corolla LE :)
Why did I pay 48 if it cost 30?) Also... What is this new thing at the dealers, you look at the price of 38k. and inside they tell you it's actually 42k? All of them just bump the price to 4-5k w/o any reasonable explanation. All they say, it's the way it is now...
how much dealer make up
Between 1000 and 2000 depending on model
My favourite is SE
Real mpg is 34 :) from my experience rav4 xle 2022
Really? I'm avging no less than 40
@@brianfox4651 yes :(
@@brianfox4651 Many factors can affect mileage... type of terrain where it's driven (level vs lots of hills) , urban stop-and-go vs suburban/rural cruising vs heavy highway/freeway, temperature (better mileage in warm temps, lower mileage in cold temps), individual driving style (conservative vs aggressive, how you use the accelerator and brake). Depending on what your particular mix of factors is, you could both be spot on about what mileage could be expected.
@@bill.godwin-austen Miami heat :)
@@thomastwin6034 Ah... don't have to worry about chilly weather, and you don't get terrain much flatter than that. Must either be the urban stop and go traffic, or you're just a leadfoot! 😁
Looks better in gray
Don’t like the two tone seats. That white color will look dirty fast
Lets see xle vs SE trims
Oh that would be interesting
Yes. That's what I want to see as well. Just simple side by side what each trim has or doesn't have. I found these two to be the hardest to find the difference vs price.
@@makb5354 thanks I really appreciate that
they can have a more modern interior this interior is 2011
Get me a black XLE in Houston, Texas …
As long it’s a hybrid idc lol
Hate sunroofs so LE for me
Hey Jeff
Hi Aaron!
Copied Audi Q5 heavy with the headlights
I want the one made in Japan
reduce your camera brightness.. its above its normal limits and its not bringing the natural color , of details
Oh that’s interesting
I filmed it on an iPhone. I’m not sure how to do that but I will look into it
@@Toyotajeff Wow... I thought you filmed it with an expensive high end camera . the quality is excellent. when you film it under Sun, I see the your face and car's white color kid or blurred/glossed. the fine details are missing. but the interior filing was excellent. it captured every little detail.
I don't think we can adjust it in phone. in camera's we can do that..
@@Jino_Thomas yes you can, you just have to hold onto the subject and adjust the sun icon (exposure) down
👍😀✔️
