I don’t miss the ice storms from my years in Ohio. Just before I moved several years ago, we had an ice storm that knocked out the power for 5 days and, listening outside at night during the worst of it, all you could hear was sharp cracks and groans all night long, like it was an eerie end of days. Don’t miss the cold weather cranks either like the escavator. Kept life an adventure anyway!🥶❄️

HI CHAD.......Thanks for the tour with all the beautiful snow....doing tree damage control.....checking on & feeding the animals.....tarping the "Catio" & playing with Olive & snuggling with the CATS'.....I love looking at the snow - it's Magical, however I AM A WEATHER WHIMP! MY perfect temp. is 68° to 72° with about a 2 - 3 mph breeze, low humidity & NO FLYING BUGS (none at all preferably). Like I said, I like to watch the weather from inside.....spoiled.....That is why I love your videos.......I get to watch all the seasons in comfort (@ 80 yrs old!). Stay warm & GOD BLESS.......😊❤😮❤😊😊

The soil is so sandy that the tree roots can't get a good grip in the soil…. And the ice puts so much weight on the trees, a tiny bit of wind will just knock em down…
We had that ice storm yesterday…I should start messaging you to let you know what to expect weather wise as we get what you will get only about 12 hours earlier! I think it must have been worse for you guys as we had no trees or branches down. Roads and sidewalks a mess though! Now it’s raining🙃. Just a couple days ago I was bundled up for walking in 10F! Good morning. I was told turkeys lay eggs in the spring only. They can lay 18. I just got two. My turkeys love picking at hay and love sunflower seeds. They also get cold easier. I picked up clear plastic tarps to put around my turkey yard so I get a greenhouse affect. Makes a big difference. I also have a heater in the turkey/chicken house that they have access to anytime. My heater is on a shelf in a dog cage. If it tips over it shuts off. I have to blow dust off once in a while. It keeps the moisture out of the air. My hens are all laying well. Yup, got a bigger power bill. But I sleep better knowing that they are a bit warmer on those -20 to -40+ days in Alberta. Love watching your channel. Thank you.
If you want your turkeys to lay more eggs, you gotta take them As they are laid that way she won’t become broody like she would if she has a clutch of eggs to nest… my grandparents started out with 5 hens and a Tom… after trial and error, one year he got over 200 eggs from them… after collecting all the eggs they wanted, they would let the hens lay their last batches so they could nest with them… those were the eggs they kept for hatching to keep on the farm… out of the eggs grandma would collect, she would put them in incubators to hatch so they could be taken to the market and sold… more eggs means more turkeys…
I to am Canadien. I'm in Alberta Canada. My family was originally farmers to. But they sold the farm and moved to the city a few years before I was born. So I missed out on the farm life. But I love watching your videos, because I get to see alot of that. I have always loved animals, and had several pets over the years. But the last 20 years or so, I have been living in rental appartments that don't allow pets. So I really miss them. That being said, I really enjoy seeing all your animals. Olive seems to enjoy the snow, and is having lots of fun playing in it. I love seeing all the birds you have. The turkeys are a beautiful color, and I like seeing them puff up there feathers. One of the things I like about the chikens, duck, and geese, is having all the eggs to eat or hatch out. The pigs are hilarious sometimes. Like today, wanting to tip over the food. Lol. But my most favorite animals have always been cats. That's the pets I miss most of all. So I love seeing your barn cats. They're beautiful, friendly, and affectionate, and so cute. Thank you for sharing your videos with us. It shows me some of the farm life I missed out on. And it gives me a chance to admire all of your wonderful animals. It means alot to me. 🇦🇺For the cats could you put up the corrugated clear plastic sheeting for the walls? It could be permanent walls or do the bottom half as a permanent wall and make sliding Perspex windows for the top half. That way the cats can look out but in the summer you can leave the windows open.

For cat allergies, the 'LiveClear' by Purina works wonders. I always had severe asthma around cats, but we were put in a situation where we needed to take in a street cat, so I decided to give the LiveClear a try. At first, I fed the LiveClear exclusively, but over the course of 6 months, I was able to cut it back with regular food more and more. After about a year, I was able to stop the LiveClear entirely and now I only have slight allergies when my face touches the cat.
Hi Chad. I think I was one who told you about adding water to the pigs' food. I'v since foud out that it may only be necessairy for elderly pigs because they have more trouble digesting it. I'm not certain about it though.

Completely off topic but have you ever considered digging another pond but stocking it with fish for you? I know that you're not off grid but maybe a small pond with just a small amount of fish would be profitable,for yourself and maybe even for sale. Idk, just a thought.

Would need a massive edpm liner or a 12” layer of blue clay bentonite for it to work. But I want to do it right, a nice size completely stocked with maybe bass and blue gill. It could also double as a skating rink in winter. Also would hope to hit a spring while digging cause how would you fill it. All in due time but considering the excavation, liner and amount of work it’s gonna be big bucks and not an early priority.
I'm afraid 7x5=35, it is 7x9 which is 63. And to be more precise, you'd have to include the cost of fuel and tractor maintenance. Still, I'd buy the tractor, too..

Have you made a vlog in the past about the rear mounted snow blower? It fascinates me because you have to go backwards. Do you use mirrors or a rear mounted camera or just practice to steer so easily? Sorry if you explained all this before and I just need to go back and find the vlog.😕

No, they do not eat the Rabbits… they are used for their "poop" … they use it for fertilizer for the garden…. rabbit poop is one of the best soil fertilizers because it’s nitrogen content isn't through the roof like so many other animals… like the pig's poop, he has to let it sit in a compost pile for a very very long time while the nitrogen breaks down… too much nitrogen in the soil will burn plants making it basically impossible to grow anything…. Sorry about the soil and poop summaries… lol
Our black cat is very sweet and always wants to be with us to cuddle and loves to be held. My son says we lucked out with this one being mister congeniality. When my son comes for a visit, he follows him around like a puppy. I think my son come to visit to enjoy this cat.🥰
I have a feral black female 7yrs old and a 16 yrs old indoor black make. They're are both super loving to me. But Mini, my male doesn't like the female, Flashlight, when she comes inside.

Most people always add water that’s why they call it slop. Sometimes I just didn’t film it but I do it.

No, they do not eat the Rabbits… they are used for their "poop" … they use it for fertilizer for the garden…. rabbit poop is one of the best soil fertilizers because it’s nitrogen content isn't through the roof like so many other animals… like the pig's poop, he has to let it sit in a compost pile for a very very long time while the nitrogen breaks down… too much nitrogen in the soil will burn plants making it basically impossible to grow anything…. Sorry about the soil and poop summaries… lol

Our black cat is very sweet and always wants to be with us to cuddle and loves to be held. My son says we lucked out with this one being mister congeniality. When my son comes for a visit, he follows him around like a puppy. I think my son come to visit to enjoy this cat.🥰
