For me, it’s boredom and influence. My friend introduced me to weed and we smoked up mainly because we had nothing to do, we weren’t able to get a job, and we had no motivation to do so. I had injured my wrist so I wasn’t able to go to the gym, which is why I think my usage became uncontrollable. It started out as something to do at sleepovers until it became the only thing we did at sleepovers. Then, because I was the one who knew the dealer, I would buy some to smoke up at home, and it got to the point that by the end of the summer there wasn’t a day that I wasn’t high. The main thing is boredom and lack of motivation. Most teens these days don’t wanna get their hands dirty, and work all the time. I do have a genetic predisposition towards weed, but with nothing to do throughout the day, weed made sitting around and doing nothing more enjoyable.

For me, it’s boredom and influence. My friend introduced me to weed and we smoked up mainly because we had nothing to do, we weren’t able to get a job, and we had no motivation to do so. I had injured my wrist so I wasn’t able to go to the gym, which is why I think my usage became uncontrollable. It started out as something to do at sleepovers until it became the only thing we did at sleepovers. Then, because I was the one who knew the dealer, I would buy some to smoke up at home, and it got to the point that by the end of the summer there wasn’t a day that I wasn’t high. The main thing is boredom and lack of motivation. Most teens these days don’t wanna get their hands dirty, and work all the time. I do have a genetic predisposition towards weed, but with nothing to do throughout the day, weed made sitting around and doing nothing more enjoyable.
