Made this cake today with all non vegan material and yet it was soft and spongy and yummm...just that I added a lot more coffee than 3 tbspn coz m crazy for coffee flavor ..and I feel that any lesser than 3 tbspn to get a lighter colour will miss on the normal coffee aroma. Thanks Gretchen 😘

Hi Gretchen, I was thinking of making this into a cupcake recipe. How do I add the toffee? Do I add it to the batter or mix it with the buttercream? Thank you!
I would add it to the buttercream, because toffee is merely sugar candy that when baked into a batter may just dissolve into it rather than stay chunky like I think you are hoping
