    R.I.P Tina, so tragic.
She sounded so confident in this tape. But around 2 years later she relapsed and overdosed last December 2009.

@ipb7883 She was raped when she was 12 years old, then in an effort to self-medicate her depression she got mixed up in drugs. 12-year-olds make mistakes, traumatized children make mistakes, and then they're hooked and your reaction is to feel contempt? In the end, she got clean, which must have been really tough to do. I've never used drugs but even I recognize it's ridiculously judgmental to look down on recovering addicts who got hooked at a really young age.

In spite of all the idiot comments on this vid I would like to commend this young woman for sharing her story. It takes courage to talk about something so personal, and negative in your life. So many people try to hide their past, when sharing your story just might help somebody else. Thanks for sharing and may God help you stay clean! One day at a time and you have a great future. Stay Strong!

At least the public is becoming more aware of addiction and getting an education on it like they never have. Things are looking better. I've traveled around this country a couple of times; there is a problem with a large proportion of the population being addicted to something everywhere I have been; but at least now people are starting to understand addiction and it is being treated better.

for any of you who were not fully listening, she was asked how does a young girl make money, so she said babysitting. later on she became a thief to support her habit. multiply drug addiction by 10 years and you get a pretty hefty sum spent on drugs. and heroin (she became a heroin addict for those of you who did not even bother to hear that) is pretty damn expensive. don't hate on her, be glad that she is trying to help people.

As for social / casual drug use, I think it's irresponsible to fail to draw a distinction between what I (for lack of a better term) categorize as "hard" and "soft" drugs. Many people can use pot or alcohol socially without becoming dependent. Vanishingly few can do so with heroin or meth without becoming utterly dependent. Some drugs are just more addictive than others; some are so addictive, more than 99% of users would become addicts. It's about chemistry, not willpower. No shame in that.

It truly saddens me to see in just the first few comments alone, that others could and most definitely have nothing else better to do than to be so judgmental against the ex drug user...perhaps if they'd not simply overreacted before making a complete fool of themselves by leaving such a comment (because ya'lls *credibility error that you so graciously found* has been explained into a bit further detail in the hopes that by some odd chance...your peabrain sized mind may be able to accidently understand precisely what this individual was saying to begin with. If not, then all I've got to say regarding the stupidity of others is...whatever you do, don't you even begin to allow their negativity anywhere around, near much less let their harsh judgmental words affect any part of your mind set. It seems as though they could possibly be jealous of your success and trying to make an attempt towards anyone claiming to be doing well.. simply put: they haven't or don't want to improve the quality/quantity of their personal lives, yet at the same time they would rather see others be right there beside them all miserable and trys anything to pull us down to their own drug using lives.. that thank goodness we've worked our butts off this far and deserve nothing but: encouraging and uplifting words no matter where it happens to be from. Haters are everywhere and will never go away but just look back at everything you've accomplished and don't dare give in because of something as dumb as how a grown person can't figure out how it would be possible...REALLY?? one quick question, has this particular person doubting what you know to be actual events of your life..have you taken anything they have said/thought and then based your decision upon whatever they said? I'm highly doubting it so don't give it a second thought now either..just continue doing you as you appear to be doing pretty dang good..
