    This isn’t really that difficult of a question if you think about it logically.
    I’m of the opinion that Sony’s holding back their major announcements for a full-blown September showcase, at which time they will unveil the PS5 Pro with a huge slate first-party and second-party games coming to PS5 with PS5 Pro enhancements.
    It makes sense that Sony would want to capitalise on their biggest IP’s in order to sell PS5 Pro systems.
    I therefore wouldn’t be surprised if we get a longer term roadmap of what to expect as we see out the letter end of this generation, which by the time the PS5 Pro releases, will be between 3-4 years.
    Although I also think Sony will hold a few surprises back as well.

    People really saying PlayStation has no games! Meanwhile we got Grand Blue Fantasy, FF7 Rebirth, Stellar Blade, Helldivers 2, Final Shape expansion for Destiny 2, FF16 DLC, and Rise of The Ronin so far. We also have Astro Bot, Horizon Lego, Concord, Phatom Blade 0 and Black Myth Wukong (xbox version delayed) all coming out within the next 4 months. Low key this is a solid year for Playstation fans. If you don't like any of those games then just say you don't like it but don't lie lol.

    Why is no one pointing out that PS4 Pro is more powerful then a Series S that cant even hit 4k & often plays in 1080

    Lono in talking about Astro you mentioned it is different to "tentpole" and its more mascot thing it never got bought up but the big thing that astro is and why its different is 2024 is the 30th anniversary of PlayStation so astro does fit well with it being a celebration of the brand itself

    Hey Lono, enjoying the content.
    I think ps fans are having issues with Sony's change in strategy this gen.
    Last gen they showed game after game 2 yrs + out of some incredible games, God Of War announcement 2016 and released 2018. You can say the same thing about Horizon, Uncharted 4, Days Gone, Spider-Man etc.
    The issue is they just stopped doing it because, I've heard, it put too much pressure (crunch) on the devs. I call that overtime and meeting quotas, but hey that's just me.
    Sony has released 2, not including GT7 because it's a racer and is expected, AAA 1st party PS5 games and its 5th year of the ps5, Spider-Man 2 and Ratchet and Clank. Add the fact that they're so silent it's hard to blame people for being a little annoyed.
    Sony needs "to open the flood gates" because this is nothing like the ps4 era which in my opinion is one of the best most well run eras in their history.

    I disagree I think the gown 18 would sell on nintendo switch. I just looked. It looks like the wither 3 sold really good??

  • @saintlugia
    @saintlugia 4 месяца назад +2

    I think it starts with Lego horizon on switch
    Then more experimental stuff like and family friendly stuff like astro and ratchet
    Spider man is a universal brand horizon is a brand sony thinks can appeal to switch players
    While you cam make the case for gow or bloodborne the biggest exclusives like spiderman and horizon could appeal to switch players.
    This sets a precedent that can be a springboard if sony thinks they can sell more games.

    As an ex xbox gamer and current ps5 gamer, it was actually really good to see xbox fight back!!
    It seems like all last gen and this gen up until their latest showcase, they have been twiddling their thumbs.
    Just hanging out in the back, while sony and nintendo steal the limelight.
    On ps4/ps5 ive played some truly awesome games.
    And ive seen xbox get drivvel.
    But now the tables are turning maybe?
    Now its sony getting lazy, twiddling their thumbs.
    While xbox is stealing that limelight.
    This is why we dont want ps or xbox "winning"!
    Without xbox sony gets lazy and complacent.
    With ps, xbox got lazy anyway, so i dread to think how bad it could get for xbox if they got more lazy.
    But this is why we need competition between the consoles.
    We need xbox, ps and nintendo, outdoing each other.
    They need to better each other and gamers win all round!

    Doc & PRock are both tripping with this one. & I'm surprised at them if they're aren't just both trolling ! Because this whole Lego Aloy vs Live Service day & date with PC vs Tentpole titles. Is very simple ! It's really not complicated to understand the difference & what's is actually happening. Usually Foc & PRock are more on point than this.

    I think people are conflating putting a tentpole franchise like Horizon on a competitor with putting a Lego game using the IP on switch with the intention of drawing people into the Playstation ecosystem. When they announce Horizon Zero Dawn for the Switch 2 then youll have ammunition.

    • @saintlugia
      @saintlugia 4 месяца назад

      I think it would be fair to reverse this where if sony brings it's more experimental titles they have to switch they may make people leave the ecosystem if they like the more experimental things sony puts out on switch.

    People are delusional thinking kids games like 3rd party Kena & lego being ported means Sony is going 3rd party.

    • @saintlugia
      @saintlugia 4 месяца назад

      With Microsoft the games I'm most interested in are ori, hi fi rush, cup head, and pentiment. 3/4 of those games are coming over to switch.
      You call them kids games, but those games I'm the most excited by. If sony makes those games multiplat then that one less reason to buy a ps5 like how Microsoft gave me enough reasons not to buy a series s for the 4 games they make that I would want.

  • @psvitaoled197
    @psvitaoled197 4 месяца назад +7

    Sony relies on 3rd party content. Microsoft came and bought a ton of it up.
    Sony now has to rely on less 3rd party content, and you get less games. They lose square, so they lost more. Playstation players are conditioned to want exclusives be it 1st or 3rd party. They don't have enough internal studios to do that so they make 3rd party deals. You still don't get it huh? That's exactly what Microsoft is doing to Sony, limiting their options, essentially weakening them, all while playing the good guy. Put the games on playstation. Microsoft will still earn bank, and the games won't be playstation exclusive, exactly what theyre pulling. People like you are oblivious to it.

      You left out the part where Microsoft paid for all of that IP and now has to make their money back

    • @Alien_isolationist
      @Alien_isolationist 4 месяца назад +1

      Sony relies on a balanced combo of 1st & 2nd Party games. Ragnarok, Gran Turismo 7, Forbidden West, Ghost of Tsushima, Spiderman 2, Miles Morales, Returnal, Ratchet & Clank, Wolverine are all 1st Party. Silent Hill 2, Phantom Blade, Death Stranding 1 & 2, Stellar Blade, Final Fantasy 7, Rise of the Ronin, Helldivers 2 being 2nd Party. Thats a strong foundation, especially as they continue doing what theyve been doing, over the next 5 years.

    For people who think Playstation VR is over with, they really dont understand the VR industry as a whole. The investment for it has ALWAYS been much smaller then consoles. To see a large library, one will need to wait til near end of PSVR 2 life cycle. Its barely year 2, way early in the 6 year lifespan.
