I found out, that my tanto hibben knives are best for this (hard wrist) technique. But I am now practicing skanf, for it´s laziness :D (1,5x more pen with half effort) Even the light things can stick easily. To 3,5m no spin, 3,5 - 5,5m half spin, but the consistence is about 3/4 :/
Loved the video, Adam. You're an excellent teacher. Also your moves are fluid, I appreciate seeing some natural motion. I will search your channel for some tips for shovel throwing... winter is coming, so I'm gonna camp with my CS Shovel again 🦧😁👊
Thanks for the tutorial. When this sticks perfectly horizontal it looks very good and powerful! No spin is hard to keep power over distance. And it looks as mighty fun as well!
Yep after so many rebounding knives that have left cuts and bruises that reminder is very important. And very interesting you talked about stance it was not something I when first started considered and slowly after getting into various sword and stick fighting and other armed combat styles thought to add stances into my knife throwing which was self taught. Looks like how you put a spin on a baseball throw 🤔 interesting concept
Instinctive half is my best grip so far in the 3 months I been working on it I have some sharp 8 inch drop point throwers that do really good with this grip I have yet to figure out no spin on either of the styles of knives I use to throw but I do plan on making some larger stuff soon since big knives are a issue to buy in california for some reason
I have noticed your technique makes your arm swipe inwards from your elbow and to your hand without disturbing the arch to your throw. The thing that is a bit hard to get is the fact that you throw with your left arm, and most of us have to mirror your technique to the right arm.
I use a piece of Bank line with a magnet on it and I keep that in my pocket so when I walk to go pick up my knives I don't have to bend over I just dropped the magnet on top of the knife and then use the string to pull it up It's like Spider-Man meets magneto
Great video Adam! This is my favourite technique for few reasons 1st when you learn it it is very consistent until 8 meters, 2. The power of the throw is insane. There aren't many videos which teach this technique so i struggled a lot until i found the way. So congratulations for the video many people now can understand it better 🎉
Great tutorial, Adam! I love this technique. I use military half spin 13 ft. to 15 ft. tops, then I switch to instinctive half spin up to 20 ft. The overhead no-spin still bedevils me, though!😬 I can get up to maybe 8ft🙁. Your tutorials are excellent, thank you for sharing.
The light flip of the wrist reminds me of throwing my Batrangs at first I thought I needed to put force into the throw but then it misses just a light flick and they stick.
I think I have been trying too hard to do no spin technique from very far distance. Need to try this again and start calibrating my throwing style for distance.
Hi Adam, what Acejet knife you would recommend for learning military half spin and no spin? I'm very new to knife throwing but hooked already and I want to buy good set of knives!
Ten glock je proste paráda, neuveriteľný nôž čo sa týka pomerovo cena/kvalita a keď ho má v ruke chlap čo vie hádzať "nožíkama" tak ďalšie plusko navyše.. 💪👍
Would be interesting to see what the knives would go through like Kevlar or proper chain mail and cloth armor or even leather armor done to the times period since it was usually layered and even thin plate armor if it's enough penetration and like a water melon behind it for force transfer or even using a balestic gel torso analog for damage With different profiles for the knives in effectiveness old and new styles
Just watched it and that knife just by looking at it was for armor and surprised it pushed as far as it did but what about proper layers of armor with different kinds of knives not made for it I know it's hard on them and a possibility of breaking some or damaging the blades
@@wesleypfeiffer9632 not so much because on the competition you use over hand and even survival situation would be overhand so I rather mainly work on my technique
So when I do this, instead of throwing it edge on, I hold it by the flat, and I guess I use my thumb on the flat like you use your index finger on the spine. ((edit- so I just saw your military throwing short- yeah, that.))
Yes can throw with hammer grip like a rock but instinctive half spin have like whip effect and it can be SUPER powerful when done right seems faster then full spin even
Respectfully, when making these videos, please consider figuring out a way to make the slow motion even slower. My intent is to respectfully request and not to be rude. Thank you.
In fact, the terminology is not quite correct. Maybe you could influence the colleagues with your authority. "No-spin" is when you throw a spear, that is when the tip of the weapon is facing forward during the entire movement. What is now called "no-spin" is actually "half-spin" ;)
This technique give you advantage for longer distance and with certain knives this techniques is easier and for some beginners also easier to learn compare to no spin...but of course no spin is superior technique ,)) cheers my friend
Who tried it already?

yes the snappier/shorter arm followup the more it spins for closer throws that was helpful to me when first starting out
More videos like this is what we need
I love to make those 😎👌💯thank you brother
Thanks brother for the tutorial 🙏🙏🙏👍💪
Any time bro 😎💯🙏
This technique is much more powerful than military halfspin. Excellent with large construction nails. Fantastic. 👍👍👍
agree my friend, its great one! thank you ,))
I'll have to try that.

Worked like a charm, Distance was very important . After a few rings am getting better and trying different size spikes and knives. Thank you 😊.

this works amazing even past 10 meters with some practice
I usually use no spin to about 9 to 12 feet then transition to military half spin.
Oh wow ok I get it cool Adam I see hell yeah.! Ill definitely be going out to get some practice, cool bro thanks. 😎👍🎩🗡
No problem brother enjoy 😎👌
Hi Adam. Are you practicing the dart throw?
@@milosz204 hey my friend, you mean with a Dart Knife?
@AdamCeladin yes. The knife you got from DartKnifeLife. I would love to see you throw them
Adam, thank you. What is the longest distance for that technique?
Thank you my friend around 20 meters
I’ve never gotten good with the half spin. Will keep using the no spin technique.
No spin is my favorite too 😎👌
I love the power I can throw with at 12 feet half spin. But boy does that knife bounce when I miss. Crazy.
Ohhh yes rebounces are like nothing else with this technique :D :D
Super! Te styl lubię.

I did similar video with my Vengeance knives check out video called Vengeance Throwing knives vs Chain mail... BTW Kevlar is easy I did recetly again

Yes I've done this many times. I start out from 6 feet just because I was taught nevertheless anybody that close with a knife.
Do you ever throw underhand just asking my dad could do it? I've never mastered it.

Most powerful? You don't think hammer grip is the most powerful? (2 and a half spin) I will have to reflect on this lesson thanks again Adam

Good idea

My average throw is 20 feet. It's took in me years to get there.
I will try that today. I am having trouble getting my finger pressure right from that distance with no spin.
