** Update on the 720S.... many have questioned why the Plaid SUV was beating the 720s when in a prior video it beat a Plaid S by several cars. the owner was doing testing the following days and realized his 60-130 times were significantly slower than usual. He then realized he was on the WRONG MAP**

***Update on the 720S in the video***
Many were questioning why the 720s was getting passed by the SUV. The owner found out he was on the WRONG MAP. His draggy times were significantly slower after doing tests the following days and then realized the Map was wrong.
Looking forward to the rematch
If he’s tuned by M Engineering, which you should be as they are the best for mclarens, he can hook up his laptop and use M-tuner to show the maps and what slot they are in.

That had to have been 60-130 in one gear
That was 4th and it went 130-170 in a flash. TIming advanced by gear

@Drock R Doesn't matter what map the 720s was on, everyone knows a stock 720s is damn near unbeatable, so that fact that a manual 350 was able to walk it speaks to how fast that mustang truly is.

I'm not sure. The owner didn't say anything about it running off. I do know he had traction control on because it was little cold and 60s are very high on the rpms and csn spin without traction controll. 55 and 50 would be better where he wouldn't need it If I'm not mistaken

Something is very off here. That 720 seemed weak. Stang probably would have had it but that Tesla hanging and walking is a big NO NO for this 720. The Tesla Plaid gap was what made me say something is off, not the Stang. Stang MOVING!

Keep in mind I was in the 720s. A passenger is like 2-3 car difference as I showed in a video with a tt rs and rs7 where 1 race rs7 went solo and 2nd race rs7 had passenger same roll.
2nd 60 isnt a great roll for the 720s and he had TC on because it was bit cold for the tires.
@@AutoGlory still doesn't add up...this 720S gapped the white 991 Turbo S bad. And that white Turbo S gapped a Model X Plaid easily.

Something wrong with the 720s, he used to gap a Plaid like nothing, now a Model X was faster?
Not sure. I was thinking same thing. I know 720s had traction control on for this race because it was little cold and 60 is high in rpms and he mentioned he spins when he's that high and shifts immediately or something like that.

Something seems off. The Plaid X should not have been able to keep up with that 720s. Like other people said, its gapped the Model S plaid easily so something is fishy 🤔

Both nice cars! Sounded like the stang didn't even downshift for the start of the race. Probably kept it in 3rd and only shifted once.
Yeap with 85000 rpm prolly didn't have to but once.
@@randyjr3479 That means the Shelby not down shifting, and it making its power way up top in the rpm range, really hurt it here. It probably had to bring its power up from 3500rpm. And those engines make crap torque. Imagine if he would have started in 2nd gear
It probably started lower in the powerband for traction…

Something isn't right my modded rs3 can pull on a model X but not a 720s . Something wasn't quite right there . Defs t/c kicking in in the 720s.

Update.... the 720s was on a wrong map. He found out the following day or 2 later. His draggy times were significantly slower than normal and looked at the map and now knows why.
