The first MacBook is truly special. Mine was a 2008 model which I had for over 7yrs. They're such wonderful machines.
I would think for most uses, laptop speaker difference is generally ignorable. Anyone doing serious audio is going to use headphones and/or external speakers.
What wallpapers are these? Especially for the Air 15
How much storage & memory do u recommend, if looking for normal work & study usage & parallel windows?
Would you recommend the base 15 inch over the 13 inch upgraded for photo editing?
Another excellent video, mate!! The 15" M2 Air is impressive, but I still prefer the smaller/lighter form factor of my 13" M2 Air. The 15" weighs nearly as much as the 14" MBP M1/M2. When it comes to computers, I like my desktop gaming/work PCs big and powerful and my laptops thin and light.

@@WargodFilms Yes, on a few YT review channels. I did the same with my hands-on experience with the 13" M2 Air and M1 iPad Pro 12.9". I'm hardly the only one who's done it.
You were right tbh, the 15 inch was beautiful but not too portable, I returned it and got a specced up 13 inch
I went for the 13 inch MacBook Air because of weight. Its perfect lightweight and I don‘t use an iPad so the MacBook Air 13 inch can be used perfectly instead.
Alternative title: 13" Air v/s 15" Air with a side of 15" MacBook Pro
had a 13 MBA for a few years, considering the 15 MBA. Thanks for the video. Still undecided. I might splurge and just try it. I reeeallly want to have a little more of two windows at once taking up the display, multitasking is much harder on the 13 MBA compared to a desktop setup that I came from. I know it's portable, but I think the 15 MBA could be the ticket.

Between 13MBA and 15MBA, the choice is not so much on the performance, its jus the choice between screen size and weight.
what i wanna know - i just wanna have a basic laptop for work, invoices, youtube etc. should i go base M2 air 13" with 1tb storage, or base 15" m2 air with 1tb storage or base M2 macbook Pro 13" with 1tb storage. They all close in price.....
Tf u need 1 TB for when you only do work, mails and yt? The 1tb ssd will skyrocket the price

This was a great video. Thanks for the very detailed comparison. I've had mine--base model silver 15" MacBook Air--for about 28 hours now and I am really liking it. The battery life is really great also.
There's absolutely no reason why you can't order these in custom colors at this point, the color options are just too limited, and no, putting a cover on it isn't gonna cut it
you should compare to the 14" pro as it has more screen content that can be displayed than the 15" air and old 15" pro due to higher resolution but you may have to squint a little more.
Is this true? Another video I saw actually said that the 14" MBP actually displays less on screen than the 13" MBA when both are set to the "most space" option in Display settings. I was surprised to see that... now not sure if true.
Is it worth to switch from MacBook Air 13” M1 to Air 15”? It’ll be regular work and photo editing (sometimes). I mean the current Air 13” M1 is still doing just fine,but I just think that it’s time to change (as I got this since 11/2020). Any recommendations?
@iceliizer A macbook is in general very robust and can be used (if taken care of) for years, I personally don’t think that there is a big even any difference at all between the m1 and m2 if you use it for basic stuff as you say. It’s quite the waste of money but if you have some money to waste you can go for it, if you really like the design.. because honestly the only major thing that changes between the m1 and the m2 is the design.

Thanks for this early comparison. I think this Apple MacBook Air will be a huge success for Apple as it addresses one of the limitations of Apple MacBook Air, its screen size. All other things considered it is nice to see there are other advantages in addition to screen size. So many Apple fans will be so happy not to need to purchase a Apple MacBook Pro just to have access to a larger display. Good job Apple.

If you dont have an external monitor, then go for the maximum screen size. Otherwise its a pain working many hours continuously on a small screen. 13 and 14 screens are small.
@@shamelynramirez1673 I have 15 inch (may be 16) Dell advanced laptop which is easy to carry around. Because the weight of that is less than my 14" macbook pro. If your usage is mainly for college which doesnt involve continuous programming work, then go for macbook Air models. Even large screen 15" would be great. If you are doing something which is CPU intensive, then choose macbook pro series. And stick to 14" (not 13). that would be okay considering the weight and size decent for carrying around.

I went from Intel 2020 MacBook Air and went straight to the M2 MacBook Air 15 inch with 24GB Ram and 256 SSD storage and its a definite powerhouse! No matter how much hate it gets
How are you finding the 256gb storage 2 months later? Is it enough
@@ACheekyOtter I don’t mind it, I use iCloud+ anyway for backups restores on my iPhone and iPad instead of having them right in the SSD
@Obikenobi93HD - what type of work do you do on it which classifies it as a powerhouse? I'm torn between the 13in and the 15in. Might go with 15 since it's might work better for me. I do a lot of work with spreadsheets and PPT.

Does anyone notice on the bottom/sides where the bottom piece of the computer meets the sides that it isn’t perfectly flush? It almost like the bottom piece is slightly sticking out and isn’t perfectly smooth/flush.
Just wondering since I just got my MacBook Air (15in) today.
Mine is similar--15" Silver MacBook Air base-spec--and I can feel the seam but it's not bad, I don't think. It just gives it a very slight edge feeling when I pick it up. I had the 13" M2 midnight base-spec model before this and it was smooth on the bottom, in case anybody is comparing.
@@Darthwriter Thanks for confirming! I thought I was going crazy. The 13 is perfectly smooth and while I see there’s the same seam, it feels perfectly flush.
The 15 looks flush, but to the touch when picking it up it feels slightly sharp. I was considering an exchange, but will keep it since it appears yours is like that too!

That 101C is why i put the 15inch MBA in last place for all the current macs. It is simply not acceptable.
Separated cells will allow faster charging speeds. Without it 50% in 35 minutes wont be possible.

It is the 512 that you are running on the 13 inch is the reason why that one is faster because the 512 SSD's are faster than a 256 SSD that's why you'll get a better performance on the 13 inch with the 10 core🥳

Your Graph comparison is in error with the 10 core 13" has 16 gig of ram no other example machine has that much ram...it should have been the 2nd tier 13" with 8gig of ram!!!!

15-inch has a better sound system and bigger screen. Aspiring DJs and taller people in general would benefit the most.
The 13-inch is better if you are 5'8 or shorter and are on the go a lot. Example: A traveling sales rep.
