This is not an exaggeration. Maybe others have heard even more interesting talks in our times. But SubhanAllah, this is the BEST lecture I have ever heard in my life. It was really thought-provoking and made me sincerely concerned about Islam and the Hereafter. It had to do with a topic that EVERYONE should listen to and take heed of before they die. JazakAllahu Khairan. May Allah reward with good for Shaikh Ibraheem Osi-Efa and the people who made this lecture a reality! Ameen.

Assalamu 3alaykum. Mashallah tabarakallah. This answers a lot of questions I was seeking. Is there any chance we can get Shaykh Ibrahim to come to Sydney, Australia? I'd love to meet him.

Assalam Alaikum Admin who take care of this channel and page. At the approx 8:30 where the sheikh makes the statement where the angels craft the human being from the soil of the earth. I am looking for a reference for this statement and am unable to do so. May you please be of assistance. This is also the case at the 8:53 minute mark of the video, the sheikh states that according to a riwiyah, Allah brings forth 40/1000 of a person's ancestors and that the shape of the child is crafted in this similitude. May you please give a citation to this hadith/interpretation please. Jazka'Allah Khiar.
I am aware that this lecture was posted over 5 years ago approx. However, this should not exclude the fact that such statements can be traced back to the words of the Prophet on whom be peace.

MashaAllah. Amazing lecture. But I just have one question that I hope can be answered. I didn't get what he meant from 29:55 about how destiny can be flipped. And he said how even if it is on your forehead that you're going to hell, that can still be altered inside of this lower realm. ....But I don't get this. I thought that whatever is written in your taqdeer, it is set and it will happen no matter what. I don't know if I'm understanding it wrong but it sounds to me like he's saying that if it is written on your forehead that you are of the hellfire (which I was assuming is your ULTIMATE decree if it's written on your forehead)... you can still change that by becoming a Muslim and striving to be pious and making dua. Aren't the four things written on your forehead your ULTIMATE DECREE though?

Salaam. Discussion on the subject of Qada and Qadr [destiny] is best done directly with a Scholar as it can easily lead people in to confusion. Some of the discussion about destiny was edited out for that reason.
"A man might be deprived of a provision (that was written for him) because of a sin that he commits; only supplication changes Al-Qadar (Predestination); and only Birr (righteousness) can increase the life span."
      - An-Nasai and ibn Majah
There are other narrations that similarly suggest that something decreed can be altered.
Put simply there is a type of destiny, one that can be overwritten [qada] and a type that cannot [qadar]. To clarify the understanding of qadar/qada are interchangeable except when mentioned together in which case they specifically mean what has just been mentioned. But for a detailed analysis of the fine points -which i what i think you seek then it would best to sit with a teacher well schooled in orthodox schools of aqida in person. Hope this helps in the meantime.

+Islamic Village Jazakallahu Khairan for your answer. I get it. Because I was already aware from other scholars that the Hadith about du'a changing destiny actually means that that Du'a was ALREADY in your Qadr to make. I had this understanding but I just got a little confused if he was saying something different from other scholars like as if he was actually meaning Qadr can be changed... not just Qadaa. I think the misunderstanding stems from the fact that I thought that what is written on your forehead with an angelic fingerprint IS your Qadr. But I guess it's your Qadaa since he said what is on your forehead can be changed at 30:10 ...

as-Salaamu 'alaykum. There are two types of divine 'decree', qadar and qada. these terms when used separately can be interchangeable like 'Islam' and 'Iman'. When they appear together then one means decree that can be overwritten and the other is the ultimate decree that will never be changed. The scholars disagree on which terms to use for each type of divine decree. In terms of the mark on your forehead, this is your current status of you carry upon your course with no change or intervention. Wallahu Alim.
