I pulled the fun face holliday last weekend from my only jumbo I got for free from my fanatics cash. It was behind my 2nd (!) manufactured relic of the box. I was dumbfounded when I seen a 2nd one but Jacksons name was sitting right behind it. Pure let down turned to pure bliss haha. It was the actual fun face one too so it was awesome 👌

My friend and I split a Jumbo case for $3300. It would probably be considered a good case, yet we'll lose at least $1000. Love the cards but getting pushed out of the hobby - Top 4 cards we pulled: 1) Jackson Holliday Radiating Rookies 2) Junior Caminero Blue Wave Auto /150 3) Shota Imanaga Refractor Auto /499 4) Colton Cowser SP
Oh man. That’s tough. It’s so much fun to open packs, but some of the fun gets lost when you are forced to worry about trying to make back the higher and higher price of wax.

@@Blabbin_Bout_Slabbin There's definitely entertainment value in the rip itself. $1000 worth? Not so much. But I've already started listing and we'll see how far I can claw my way back. First sale was a Smith-Shawver true Gold Auto.

That stadium chrome box I ripped with my dad - I’d be shocked if there was $10 worth of cards in there. Some entertainment value, but we were definitely in the red.
As a Mets fan I was looking up their cards, they have a rookie auto for taylor kohlwey, who played 11 games at triple A, never played one game in the majors, and was released on April 28, 2024. I’d be pissed to get that as my one auto in a hobby box. He is still “released” and not picked up by any other team. What do you think of that? I don’t know how they could even say he was anticipated to get to the majors so they gave him a rookie card

No unfortunately not. I think the last time we talked was in a 13-14yr old all star tournament. Then he moved to play against better competition lol.

@@teddo997 Chris here - I like the design, but I’m Generally not a big chaser of inserts. I’m still tracking down the Golden mirrors I like.
@@Blabbin_Bout_Slabbin I'm with you the golden mirrors are awesome. The reason i brought up the mega stars is because I don't think everyone realizes they are short printed. I've opened a ton of flagship and only pulled 1 thats less than the amount of golden mirrors I've pulled. I found that interesting
The best thing about your guys show is how down to earth both of you are. And no one likes Evan Carter as a player this year. He has been so awful

Pirates fan. I just wish they would have used the Pirate Logo instead of the P Logo for the lightboard. The P is iconic but boring in this scenario especially since they did it for many other teams

With Topps bringing back the Black /10 auto, how will this parallel compare to the other true color autos that have been constant for years now? Which color are you going for!?
That’s a great question. They look good! Still incredibly rare though just being /10, so not sure they will really be attainable for most collectors (including us). Are you going to go after any?
@@Blabbin_Bout_Slabbin Interested to see what the Yankees cards look like. I'm sure they will look good color match wise. It may even look better than the true blues do but like you said way more expensive!
I do wonder as cool as the MVP buy back are that maybe Fans/Topps lost a lot of money so they decided to make it harder this year.

24’ chrome looks to be extremely underwhelming. I’ve watched multiple breaks. Loaded with garbage autos and parallels of 31 yo “rookie” relievers and 2 week call ups . Yea of course people hit big cards . But it took a full case to get one or two decent hits . I can tell Stryker is over it already as much as he plays it off on stream . The 300 card set really killed it
hey thanks for the report from the front lines! I haven’t watched any breaks, but I imagined them to be just how you are describing. I wonder how long breaks of this stuff will keep filling at the higher prices to cover the higher prices of the boxes?
@@Blabbin_Bout_Slabbin they mix in breaker delight boxes with the hobbys/ jumbos . I’m sure that potential is allowing the breaks to be sold . Even then I find it meh at best. The better option imo is just to wait for 24’ topps update . Skenes probably debuting as an RC chase is already a superior value .

@@Blabbin_Bout_Slabbin Can get so many graded cards of HOF slash upcoming HOF players for the money guaranteed PC addition that make you happy and collection grow or chance ya arm and probs loose 3/4 of item cost without big hit of great player. Is a rich man's gambling entity these days MLB NFL & NBA very sad to see the decline of what it has become imo the average Joe is priced out of the ripping a box 👎
