Love your videos! I vacation at Lake George, heading up from PA in early August this year. I’ve had decent luck both trolling and jigging from a kayak the last couple years but still a lot to learn and better set up to jig. I just received your large kit, now wondering if your small kit would be better for that lake?
From what I've heard of lake George is the Lakers are similar to Champlain. Use the 3/4 jig and shorten the baits if they don't want the full size. Good luck
Why do you say in the video that you do not want to let your bait hit bottom when dropping down to the lakers? I always thought that if they didn't come up to your bait as you were dropping that it was good to hit bottom before you start trying to make them chase?
So the goal is to act natural! Only some species of bait fish head towards the bottom of the lake to hide. Lakes that have a lot of Burbot seem to like baits on bottom. When we are suspending the bait off bottom it's like a lone bait fish that's lost and the lake trout think they are getting an easy meal!
I have to go below Burlington to go fishing. Never fished down there, so I don't know where to go. I hear way down to chimney point bridge and take the boat north. But I have to take the truck and boat all through Burlington with all the crazy people and traffic! 2 1/2hr drive for me. Is there any lake trout north of Burlington anywhere??
@@BendItFishing Ok I know! I fished just out from the fish hatchery/fairy with nothing to show for it! I got to get some of your glow baits! I saw fish there, but to get them to bite, is hard!
Obviously that live scope changes the hole game, there would be know way to figure how to manipulate them like you see on live scope. No disrespect but we can see why they call it cheating😔
For certain areas like ledges it's 99% easier than it used to be. But knowing that I've learned from livescope, I can switch back to traditional sonar and still slay them
Great tips man, I’m using 2d, was nice to see you using 2d as well. Very helpful.

Glad I found this, I fish Seneca, Keuka, and Canandaigua Lakes (Finger Lakes) and this is great info! Well done ...Thank you! -Steve-
Welcome!! Go get them Lakers!!

Hey, do you think a drop shot rig could work for lake trout?
It works great! But sometimes they eat the weight!
Do you run the lvs 34 or the livescope xr
I run both, but in this video I am running XR
Nice! Going to be in Canada in a few weeks. Looking forward to trying out your tips.
Good luck!

What times are good times for fishing for lakers?
I usually go in the morning. That being said if it's bright and sunny out they tend not to want to run towards the surface so try cloudy days
How do you set up your fishing when you have 2 or 3 people in your boat and only 1 2d screen?
2 can use the 2d sonar at a time otherwise it's too confusing. The third is going jigging blind
