    Can anyone explain how AJ defence could be so leaky when he was being trained by Ben Davison….or does the pressure of Dubois have such an impact that it made Joshua forget everything Davison had trained him to do

  • @paulc7535

    It is good to see Adam smith back, he is really a fan and boy he can talk! Give AJ some credit he didn't go for the emergency exit. he got carried out. Here says Joshua never ko'ed before. Ruiz kocked 7 bells outta him and did train for rematch.

    We can disect the perfromance all we want nothing against joshua but the bottom line is he cant take a punch i know heavy weights hit hard but when he gets clipped at all his legs are gone and he cant recover not the best attribute to have if u want to fight the top guys

    • @UpgradeLemonade

      yup this. unfortunately not AJs fault but the legends can take a punch. AJ gets clipped and he almost always wobbles and takes too long to recover. Fury is similar but his recovery power is incredible.

    No footwork, no guard, no head movement. WTF version of AJ was that?

I used to study Krav Maga and they made a point of putting you under stress in order to learn, because they realised that when adrenaline kicks in anything you’ve learned in times of comfort goes out the window. I also think that speaks to what you’re saying about cherry picked fighters. He never had enough discomfort to learn boxing basics properly so he can maintain them when under fire. Protected fighter because he was Hearn’s golden boy Tyrone who all the ladies would simp for.

    Ben was she'll shocked because he's been in over his head, and unfortunately, the UK fans and media are blind to it. He isn't qualified to be a head coach or teacher to a world level fighter. Especially not to a heavyweight cash cow like AJ. The jig is up, and hopefully, they won't allow him to ruin any other professional fighters. He didn't know how to handle the cornering between rounds and that naked uppercut AJ threw, which led to his KO?? Well He was instructed by Ben to throw it!!! It's too late for AJ but if you have the ability, keep your fighters away from that fraud

    • @DonOneDetroit
      @DonOneDetroit Месяц назад +6

      Wow...they didn't seem to provide video from AJ's corner but it was obvious that Davison did a poor job with both strategy and preparation. He was partially right to advise AJ to throw the uppercut (as that punch almost changed the fight in AJ's favor) but it should have been only when/if AJ worked his way in behind a double jab or whenever Dubios tried to close in. However, everything else was horrible, how can AJ get clipped on the chin in the 1st round with a wild ass looping right hand if he had been trained properly?!?

    • @carlalouis4101
      @carlalouis4101 Месяц назад +3

      Total agree. Ben is in way over his head. Why not allow AJ to box, use his jab rather than brawl / fight. Too much of a risk not boxing and keeping it more technical

    • @EdwinMaldonado-ie6qn
      @EdwinMaldonado-ie6qn Месяц назад +1

      @carlalouis4101 you NEVER overload the fighters' minds with all this unnecessary data. It will make them freeze up during the fight! A blind person could see AJ overthinking literally every step. Chin up, legs crouched, arms too low and completely gone mentally. Hence, the laughing, taunting, sticking out his tongue. He even escorted DDD to his corner after getting his ass handed to him. I hated watching it, smh

    • @tylermoore4429
      @tylermoore4429 Месяц назад +2

      It's not all about Ben. AJ's clearly shot physically. Basic boxing IQ is in tatters, he has no defense, no offense, no speed and is outmatched strength-wise. A grueling career of ups and downs did him in. It's the end of the road.

    This talk about what a shock it was is utter drivel....shows how many dead heads there are amongst the press in the boxing industry who have whole heartedly bought into the AJ hype...you only have to look at the two fighters recents records and who they had been in with..that Dubois would be more battle hardened and on it...lets face it Joshua hasn't been on it as combination puncher boxer since Klitschko..he has never coped with being pressurised and a beating at some point was inevitable...the man needs to go do something else and grow in life..his punch resistance has totally gone now..Joshua has done well with limited ability..financially set for life.. should retire before he ends up with his brains scrambled.

    Sick of the idiots in the comments who love to slate AJ. We’re all going to miss these guys when they’re gone. AJ, Fury, Wilder, Chisora, Joyce, Parker, Usyk. All of them will be gone very soon. We don’t understand how good we’ve had it since the dark Klitschko era. I’m gutted that AJ was destroyed like that. It’s the end of an era. Whether you like it or not AJ brought major attention back to British heavyweight boxing, there’s more money in the sport now than there’s ever been and that’s down to the popular rise of AJ. He’s 34 now and took on a young fearless power puncher and showed balls and heart, he went out on his shield trying to the bitter end. Then you’ve got keyboard warriors on here slating him and his career. Title fights in the double digits, beaten multiple world champions and Olympic gold medalists, a 2X unified champion and his family is set for generations.

    AJ did nothing right. Theres not a chance in hell Ben Davisons game plan was “forget all of your fundamentals drop your guard and dont worry about his jab” Looking at AJ stumbling in his ring walk i imagine it was because his legs were already like jelly because he was experiencing a mass load of nervous energy. One shot later his legs were completely gone. He is mentally fragile.

    A superb destruction of a once great former champion, well done DANIEL DUBOIS!
    As for AJ, many boxers are more scared of retirement than loosing. If AJ looses a rematch fight it will justify the calls for him to resign after this defeat, crush his name to five defeats of which two were rematches he lost and he will then be condemned to retire rather than making a sensible choice now to to retire.
