I love hearing of your Mother and the olive oil. My mother-in-law and her sisters are that way about centerpieces at weddings or celebrations! It’s funny but they will get multiples for each of them and bring them home. One wedding they got stopped at the door by the wedding planner who said, “You can have the flowers, but the vases are rented. I’m gonna need those back.” 😂

as Gay People, some families are damning some are welcoming, when you find a family that accepts you, your partner's S.O., it's one of those feelings that gives you a ''moment'', you mom and Rafa just makes my heart swell, when my partner's adult sons accepted me into their family and his very close extended family, I had a new experience, a moment, a family that accepted Me for ME. not even my own biological family can do that. Thanks Coco, for cracking the cranial caramel, memories and wonderful thoughts always seem to escape. We Love You Coco Peru !!

Dear RIX, the alliteration of "cracking the cranial caramel" delights me, as does the joyful acceptance and love your partner's family has provided for you.

Precious memories for Helen, you & hubs of showing her Spain... you all will cherish those all your days on Earth. Nothing is more sweet than experiencing those magical moments with loved ones. You're a golden ray of sunshine every day!! I love you, truly.

Oh Miss Coco, as I make dinner, I am listening to you reminisce about taking your mother to a castle, and her with the olive oil, and I can't help but smile and feel so at peace.
The momentary distraction is better than any therapy!
You are such a fantastic story teller!
Thank you for yet another great distraction! You are like the cool, fun aunt I never had!
Take care and thank you! 😊
    Edit: Own that moment! Yes!!!

I love the tale of Helen & the olive oil, it made me laugh out loud. My grandmother Ann used to force my grandpop to go to the local Marriott 'Happy Hour' every Tuesday night because they had a giant buffet. She actually would line her purse w a plastic bag & leave with about $50 worth of meat & fancy cakes, then would have what she called SPECIAL LUNCHES all week

Bless you, Coco, for being a beacon of hope in this difficult time. *hugs* I'm the crazy lady who cried all over you during Drag Con. When I was growing up in the 70s, I remember there were no visible gay people. My sister was afraid to tell us she was a lesbian and did not tell us until she was in her 20s, and she was scared to tell us. I always knew that was messed up, and to have lived through all of these changes so that a thing like Drag Con can exist, and marriage equality, something I never thought I'd see in my lifetime is just amazing. That was why I cried all over you that day, and said, "It's all for the children." That moment was so significant to me, and I have felt bad for crying at you like a crazy woman since that day. Your videos have been such a comfort to me. My daughter is married to a wonderful woman and they are so happy together. I'm so glad these things happened in my lifetime. Bless you, Coco, and all the wonderful positive energy you put out into the world.

Dear sweet Miss Peru, the videos you posted in 2020 still ease the mind upon viewing in April of 2022. These stories are for me reminders of grateful living and how to show love. An idea that has yet to fully percolate through my brain to concise clarity is this: It's called Thanksgiving because one's inner thanks is only witnessed through one's outer action of giving.

I often have those thoughts too and wonder just how many people have walked the same streets etc and had the same problems (and joys) and feelings etc. I am always fascinated by old photos (both mine and others) where you see other people in the background and I wonder if I’m in their photos etc. They probably think “Who the Hell is this freak?” but hey ho. It’s one of the little things! I’m so thrilled you managed to do this with your mother. My mother passed when I was 15 and for you both to treat your mother to something she loved as much as this must have been such a gift. Much love! Stay safe! And thank you for sharing these videos. They bring so much joy! ❤️

Miss Coco you are so wise and speak so kindly of your mother. My older sister lives in Spain(retired there years ago) and when my youngest son was questioning his life purpose(as 20 somethings often do) I sent him to spend a few months with my sister. Just seeing the history and antiquity of Europe is enough for any American to understand there is so much more to this planet than our modern existence in the very young US of A. He came back to North America a changed young man. I do believe Spain, and the love of a good family, saved his injured soul! Thank you for your musings, reminded me that none of us are insignificant.

The time you spend with us is a part of the journey we all continue to make. Perhaps, on one hand, we are all insignificant, but I believe, that being remembered in the long-term history don't really matter, it is the lives we touch along our journey together, in the now, are important. I am happy to share this journey with you and all those others that are living and dying and watching as we go through this together. Thanks Coco

I absolutely adore these small reflection videos in a big way but allow me to mention you in one of my reflective steps I had this morning. As I was waking up to start the days work ahead of me, I was lying in bed thinking that I had promised my brother to go out riding our bikes 6 safe feet away this afternoon while at the same time thinking that I had to frost a dozen or so cupcakes before I met with him. I’ve been cooking and eating way too much which is why the exercise. Well the thought of those salted carnal cupcakes up against those grueling minutes on my bike alongside a full day of work in my home office conjured up the line that you delivered in the opening scene from the classic Will and Grace episode “Moveable Feast” where you, as a man, delivered a line that cracked me up right out of bed. “I’ll give you a clue. She had something raised and something lowered”. Lol that scene and particularly you in it just cracks me up to this day not to mention a bright spot to all that’s chaotic and mundane this morning for me. So thank YOU for that little thing that I’m able to draw inspiration from. Lol love Brian in Charlotte, NC.
