My grandparents said one night they saw a pretty violent plane crash near their home in upstate New York ( this is back in the 1960s.) My grandfather called the sheriff to report it and the next day some “government men”came to talk to them about it. She gave them some coffee and coffee cake which was the custom. They left and the next day they called back to the Sheriff’s office to ask about the crash and they said there wasn’t any plane crash and they didn’t have any record of him calling in a report. There wasn’t anything in the local newspaper about it in the following weeks.

I grew up in the area, and remember this and the crash/explosion. I must have been amongst those who reported it to the police after seeing craft and the flash from my teenage bedroom window, the light stayed on the horizon for quite a while, before slowly dimming. There were lots of relatively low flying aircraft in the area for days after which was unusual - normally they fly at a much higher altitude, and in a more set pattern when they come into land at Manchester Airport. I remember the Tornadoes which echoed across the area. But there were two distinct "booms" the night of the crash. I also remember seeing Hale-Bopp and it was nothing like the craft as it was described... It is however, not the first time strange lights across the sky were seen in the area, parts of the more remote moorland do feel eerie with a sort of "hum".
@@Omni_ShamblesThese were likely back-engineered craft being piloted by humans that were learning the tech. I think most of the actual crashes are from human pilots testing out the technology from the actual alien crafts

What is of no debate (to me) is that two 17 year old boys filmed (on a vhs handheld camera) a huge 'WW2 type' bomber plane flying very low (maybe 30/40 feet) over rooftops in the Parson Cross area of Sheffield headed towards the Moors just before reports of a crash came in. It was flying almost silently. A copy of the footage was made and taken in to the Calendar news studio (sheffield centre) the morning after and given by hand to the local journalist/presenter Peter McNerney. Nothing was heard back and the footage not used. To the best of my knowledge the original footage/copy still exists with the individual who filmed it.
It could have been a Hercules. To the untrained eye, it would be similar. The problem would be the height, however, it can be difficult to judge accurately. Seen at an angle from the side, an aircraft about the 250 foot limit, could seem lower as you aren't directly under it. Mos too us dont really appreciate the actual size of aircraft.
I hope upon hope that you guys do one or more episodes on the Phoenix Lights. This was not even two weeks prior and I haven’t heard anything new about it recently. I would love to hear a fresh take on the events of that spring night especially from you guys!!
That's the problem with the Pheonix Lights. There was no real conclusions then, a half a dozen different theories what it was and since then, nothing new that I'm aware of.
I had never heard of this case. I grew up in a UK UFO hotspot so I tend to look out for things like this. I'm a former police call handler although it was for a police force at the opposite end of the country from the notorious hotspot. We had a number to contact the MOD if anyone reported a UFO. I only called them once, they didn't seem overly enthused to say the least!
My dad was a senior UK police officer (back in the days when the police used to serve the people) and I asked him when he retired if he had ever had any reports of a UFO and he said no. I didn't believe him, to be fair, but it was either true or he had been told what to say.
OUTSTANDING in content & presentation, as usual. Bedtime Stories is KING of the genre! Thank you all for everything you do to get these videos to us. Beautiful work!
The idea that ANYONE could mistake the frikkin tiny, almost impossible to see without binoculars, HalleBopp comet with a large, bright flashing/flaming light crossing the sky in a matter of seconds, is so ridiculous as to be deliberately insulting. The comet looked like a slightly fuzzy star that's movement was imperceptible over hours. And the idea of Mancunian drug-runners in Cessnas causing a giant glowing UAP is as hilarious as it is bonkers. Whatever tgis was it wasn't the vomet and it wasn't Sean Ryders weekly supply of E crashing into a swamp.
The comet was VERY visible even without binoculars. The time of this incident (in the video) was about the same time i first saw the comet. And he was very plane to see. As he was for many nights to come.
Can someone help me find a story on this channel? It involved two children seeing a figure in their backyard on the edge of the woods and mistaking it for their father. They went after it and it kept disappearing behind one tree and reappearing in front of another deeper into the woods. After a little while the kids grew suspicious that they were being lured deeper and ran back to their home.
It was around 1997 when I saw and RAF jet over Sheffield in the late evening. It was pulling some really tight maneuvers in a large triangle shape and you could hear it thrusting up on each straight leg of the triangle. I thought to myself, that's odd that a jet is doing that over Sheffield? It looked as though it was chasing something but, there was nothing else (visible) in the sky. It departed just as fast as it had arrived. I've often wondered it that jet was related to this incident? I didn't find out about the Howden Moore incident until quite a while later.
We saw Hale Bop when we lived in a tower block in Wolverhampton. It was in the sky for about 10 days. Its position moved very SLOWLY each night. So to say that it was Hale Bop is bollocks. It would not move quickly across the sky. Added to this, why would the military scramble jets and helicopters for Hale Bop???? Personally, I think it was perhaps some experimental military craft, and it went splat. The fact that they didn't have the radar station manned that night???? Hmm, seems like a load of tripe to me. They would not leave that kind of facility unmanned. It's the RAF and it's defence. They just didn't share, it's as simple as that. You also have an ex-RAF man witnessing Typhoons going over. A loud boom suggests a sonic boom. In an emergency, they can go supersonic when granted permission. However, I tend to think that the boom was something crashing, and again, I think the thing that crashed was either an experimental craft gone haywire or we had an unwanted foreign visitor, perhaps from Russia???? After all, we know that a certain Dictator does have a liking for counting coup.

Another fantastic episode! I have been a fan since your very first video, "The Flannan Isle Lighthouse Mystery". Please consider doing one on the wolves of Pavagada. It is an incredibly creepy event that occurred in the mid 80's.
I had never heard of this story until a couple of years ago, but I did however have my only UFO experience during the spring of 1997 when living in Sheffield. I had gotten up to go to the bathroom in the early hours of the morning, on returning to my room I looked up out of the skylight window. I saw a bright light motionless in the sky (I know it wasn’t the Hale-Bopp comet as I had seen it many times). I stared at it for a while trying to figure out what it was as it was completely motionless. Then all of a sudden it shot straight down and my window filled with a flash of bright light. Completely shaken I returned to bed. It took me a while to get back to sleep and this second part of the story might be because I also suffered from sleeping paralysis. When I woke it was light and I was sleeping face down. I couldn’t move but I could just manage to open one eye and could see the floor of my room. There was a terrible pain in my lower back, I described it at the time as like my kidneys being taken out and put back in again. I tried my hardest to move but failed. I eventually fell back asleep and when I woke again everything was normal. At the time I just told it to my friends as a strange story. I never thought there were any other events that happened.
This may be a forward assumption, but did you think you were abducted in the middle of the night? That is strange hearing about the back pain… and then suddenly how you don’t have it once the morning comes.
I didn’t think I was abducted or certainly like to tell myself that. Sleeping paralysis can be weird and cause all sort of pains. I also rationalised and thought I might be dehydrated. But I can’t know. I had several sleeping paralysis after where I would hear robotic voices and would worry if they were connected. It eventually ended after a couple of years.
The A229 road is rumoured to be the site of several sightings of the ghost of a girl who died in 1965, so perhaps this could be the subject of some kind of RUclips documentary?
Unfortunately. There isn't any trace of a crash site in the 'Margery Hill' area, other than the ones that are well known.....The Consul Plane, The Stirling bomber, and the German parachute mine crater. Nothing else whatsoever. There is as you say, the chance that something came down in one of the reservoirs.
It MAY well be a cover up, honestly it wouldn't surprise me. It IS VERY difficult however to hide the traces on the ground! IF you look on Google Earth at the locations in the Peak District where planes have come down, at many of the crash sites, even if there isn't any wreckage remaining, there is still an obvious sign that something has impacted there! On Margery Hill there are 3 things that have impacted. A Stirling Bomber from the Second World War, A Consul small transport plane, and a German Parachute Mine, all of which have left visible traces. There aren't any other areas that look like something has crashed in that general area........Something COULD have gone down, but it's certainly been VERY well hidden after the wreckage was removed! @@ted__ryan
Great video as always, luv the animations and artwork, never heard of this case before, the similarities between this and pentyrch is interesting, that said the possibility of the link between this and criminal activity is interesting does pose the question why the authorities would lie though
No one could have mistaken the Hale Bopp comet. I was lucky enough to see it, and it had a double tail. At the time, the media was covered with images of the comet, and everyone would have been aware. Above all, what struck me was its stillness. The great distance from earth negated any sense of movement through space.

So is the footage available to watch? Have you seen it.
Very glad to see this new upload.
Thank you, narration, story, art and animation as always … top class! I love this channel.
Never get tired of this channel 🤩🤩🤩
Watch this video 11 times in a row, then you will. Never say never!
Haven't seen one of these in a while, and I'm already hooked a few seconds in.
I didn't believe him, to be fair, but it was either true or he had been told what to say.
i did see the Hale Bopp comet in Florida , no way it could be misconstrued as an aircraft
I love when bedtime stories come out with an episode. I always wait for nighttime and jump in bed with a snack and turn out the lights 👽👻👹
OUTSTANDING in content & presentation, as usual. Bedtime Stories is KING of the genre! Thank you all for everything you do to get these videos to us. Beautiful work!
What an appropriate time to listen to this one. Just before bedtime. Good one.
Holy the graphics keep getting better and better.
Always a great watch to hear about these stories.
You are my favorite RUclips channel. Please release more Alien and UFO stories asap man
The idea that ANYONE could mistake the frikkin tiny, almost impossible to see without binoculars, HalleBopp comet with a large, bright flashing/flaming light crossing the sky in a matter of seconds, is so ridiculous as to be deliberately insulting.
The Near Missing 411 I believe 🤔
It was around 1997 when I saw and RAF jet over Sheffield in the late evening. It was pulling some really tight maneuvers in a large triangle shape and you could hear it thrusting up on each straight leg of the triangle. I thought to myself, that's odd that a jet is doing that over Sheffield? It looked as though it was chasing something but, there was nothing else (visible) in the sky. It departed just as fast as it had arrived. I've often wondered it that jet was related to this incident? I didn't find out about the Howden Moore incident until quite a while later.
Classic bedtime stories episode. Thanks for that.
Thank you, just in time for a cosy (spooky) listen!
I went walking around the Ladybower yesterday. Those stairs always tire me out lol 😆
This sounds familiar to the incident in Kecksburg Pennsylvania
I smell future videoooo!
And the 1800's "airship" crash in Texas?
@@dubuyajay9964 Aurora, Texas?

😂 just been released today!
I remember a survey about who you like more artist, narrator, or story writer, etc. Honestly, without all these personal this channel would not be one of my Favorites. Listen at work, without you could not get through the day.
I’m surprised they didn’t blame swamp gas 🤣🤣🤣
It must've been a slow day at Taco Bell. 😂
Love this channel and have watched every video at least twice. With it being over a month since the last upload am getting concerned about the channel's creator. Hoping everything is well!
we need stories 2 times a week
Every day of the week!!!
They would need to use AI to write the stories and make the artwork. 👎
@@MakerInMotion well, he used to release a lot more than what he does now. Seems like he is focusing more on releaseing for spotify now. The worst part of that is his spotify podcast doesnt have the artwork and a lot from what ive noticed are just old episodes from youtube that hes "redone" and released on spotify.
Lucky to get 2 in 6 weeks now
Another fantastic episode! I have been a fan since your very first video, "The Flannan Isle Lighthouse Mystery". Please consider doing one on the wolves of Pavagada. It is an incredibly creepy event that occurred in the mid 80's.
Anytime you see a story with the word "moors," you know it's going to be creepy.
I assume it will involve big cats.
What's a moor? Sounds swampy to me
Especially in UK
A moor is a tract of uncultivated upland or heath. It can be mossy land covered with bushes, grass and peat.@@banditdelta7172
Or smoores
@@bearessentials4383 Hm very strange, but it’s good to hear that it eventually stopped. Thanks for replying👍🏻
The A229 road is rumoured to be the site of several sightings of the ghost of a girl who died in 1965, so perhaps this could be the subject of some kind of RUclips documentary?
Thanks for the video!
It was an American weather balloon that went off-course because of Venus, and crashed into Swamp Gas.
Forgot about the body of an owl that unfortunately got mixed in with the whole incident.
entirely plausible
Also Northern Lights involved.
Such good artwork.
yes,its top notch, love everything about it.

The long awaited new story! Bedtime is hours away, I want my story now!
You should make a video about Reino Magico (Magic Kingdom), the haunted amusement park in Veracruz, Mexico.
Another amazing episode! Do you think you guys could cover the Filiberto Caponi case someday? It would be the perfect story for this channel
Fascinating case- loved seeing Mikey’s artwork start to take shape during the end credits!
Brilliant story very well told , I really enjoyed listening , amazing art work as well , thank you bed time stories 👍
❤ Awesome as always thanks
I confess, I take powernaps, and like listening to these especially laying down, Thanx, Bedtime Stories🐾;)...
Cover up.
@@ted__ryan
The only thing better than falling asleep to Bedtime Stories is falling asleep to a UFO Bedtime Stories episode
I love these stories,, I’m looking forward to his collaboration with Ballen Studio’s 👍🏼
Classic Bedtime Stories this - great work!
Great video as always, luv the animations and artwork, never heard of this case before, the similarities between this and pentyrch is interesting, that said the possibility of the link between this and criminal activity is interesting does pose the question why the authorities would lie though
17:23 I'll say it rn. I love the outtro being the drawing being created in a time-lapse. Love the work you guys do keep it up!
Thank you sir. Listening to you stories do put me to deep sleep. Albeit bed time stories.

Freaky stuff! Keep up the high quality content, love it!
Will we get back to a weekly schedule? I miss these videos so much!
They don’t seem to put out as much content these days. I recommend the why files if you’re looking for more regular content.
I almost miss this one out.
Happy St. Patrick's Day
Perfect... just getting ready for bed
You sure go to bed early
@@janblackman6204 gotta get them 8 hours bro
Is 22:30/23:00 really that early lol
No one could have mistaken the Hale Bopp comet. I was lucky enough to see it, and it had a double tail. At the time, the media was covered with images of the comet, and everyone would have been aware. Above all, what struck me was its stillness. The great distance from earth negated any sense of movement through space.
That makes a lot of sense. Thank you, these are very interesting details.
I just love this channel!
The episodes about things you’ve never heard of are the best. Crazy story. 😎✌🏻
We need more episodes stat!!!🎉🎉🎉
Loved the animation at the end!
Great episode.
