- The John Deere Gator was 8 years old and it was time for it to go. We ordered a brand new 2024 Polaris Ranger Northstar Ultimate and then sold the Gator on Facebook marketplace.

Would appear that the Ranger has a bit more weight for moving the planes around more adroitly....
Good point. I am not sure of the weight differences, but I would also assume that the Ranger is a bit heavier.
Curious on why you didn't get another gator like the R model or signature?
I’m not sure about the newer JD models, but I know mine had a top end speed of around 40mph maximum and the engine was screaming to do that. I wanted to get something more road worthy.
@@IowaFlyingFarmer Understand that, we just got rid of our 2024 Ranger Ultimate and purchased a 2024 Gator Signature series and the cab is night and day differance in the Deere so much Quieter and tighter and will run about 48 mph, not a speed wagon by any means but very comfy and an awesome radio. I really like the color and your topper you have!

I have a 2024 as well but my tires are different. Are your tires aftermarket?
I did order the bigger tires from the dealership.

@@doug292 no problem. They are basically a better pavement tire than the stock tires. My machine will be on pavement 95% of the time.
