Well the downside of Heat Vision is that it drains their power faster than there other abilities.
Yeah, but heat vision is incredibly draining. Compared to punching, or swooping the enemies away in a flight, it's not cost effective.
The one thing I don't understand is why did the writers decide to omitt Superboy's Tactile Telekinesis.
I’m glad that Bart is getting some appreciation and used more, I hope he gets used a lot more in the future

@@perturabo7825 yep Martians are basically better Durlans in general cuz the best a Durlan can really do is just shapeshift unlike martians which have the extra benefit of flight, strength, phasing, heat vision (depending on the iteration), telekinesis, telepathy, etc. Without the need to shapshift
The show basically pulled put that durlams are Martian descendants specifically even the descendants of the Martian on screen even.
The entire legion equals up to 1 Martian.
Martians are much stronger tbf, M'alefa'aak was even bigger than Chameleon Boy while they were in the same form
Bart may be fast, but lasers move at the speed of light. All Zod needed to do was lock his vision on him, and fire.
Not a laser. It is heat vision which is a concentration of X-rays. X-rays are thermal rays hence the heat vision. but still, they too move at the speed of light.
@@eingoluqthey don't move at the speed of light, that's actually quite rare. Bart just didn't expect Lor to adjust to his speed or he could have dodged them easily like Barry likely would have.

Let's compare:. He may not be as fast, but Lor is fast. Even things moving much faster than your body could be tracked by your eyes. While he may not win a race, his senses are fast enough to look, and that's all you need for laser vision

Kryptonian, energy blasts matching the light ferquention of a red sun and magic their options. Martians have a weakness against fire so a powerful pyromancer could make their lives difficult.

Chameleon, Saturn Girl, and Apparition were obviously selected as a covert ops team, not a strike force.
The Legionnaires as depicted in their own books are highly professional, individually unimpressive but punching above their weight class due to teamwork, diversity, and sheer numbers. Several of their members (Wildfire, Inferno) could make short work of Martians, and others (Alchemist, Karate Kid, Mon-El, the White Witch, Brainiac 5, Star Boy) have defeated Kryptonians. Together, they've forced Darkseid to withdraw, and totaled his "Servants of Darkness."
Really?? Bart maybe debatable but the other two are explained. Saturn girl was literally knocked out by a feedback not even zods doing. But there was no chance chameleon boy was doing anything to his great great grand daddy. He said he was from Durla and that's the planet the Martian ( I can't spell his name sry) got from darksied
It can't be just me, these cartoons come off as a bit more hardcore than the ones I grew up with. Heck even anime wasn't this tense. Maybe the adult stuff sold so well they changed the kids stuff to be more hardcore, I guess. Unless this isn't for kids.
these past two seasons are for a show that was cancelled in 2012. At the time it targeted the 10-12 age range. All of the original fans of the show are young adults now so they've decided to put more emphasis on targeting that audience. Young Justice has always been a very accessible cartoon for older audiences, but now it's very clearly trying to appeal to an adult demographic.
The show grew with the audience
So? Go watch Justice League action if you feel that strongly about it. No one has an issue with a show growing with their audience.

Then u didn't grow with justice league or clone wars or gravity falls. Reality is this generations kids grow up a lot faster than pur generation did. Access to social media internet and more so an evolving human gene can do that. Phineas and ferb was apparentally once considered too smart for kids to which it was targeted. When Disney realized princess stuff wasn't selling cause kids were actually smart they gave the show a chance. Sure I admit some jokes did go above my head but with the internet a thing most kids could just look it up. Some people think it's bad but I like to be optimistic about it.

@@corpyhogan4433 That's a bit hard to believe since Barry and Bart are faster than superman. I think it was just a reference to the movie and ads to the plot. And I believe that when Lor said they'll have time to turn the tide, it means that Ma'alefa'ak is going to repay him for what he did to his sister.
@@bigbiafra5288 Superman was originally fast as they were. He was racing evenly with Flash Wally West in Rebirth and Wallys is the fastest flash in the comics. Kryptonians tend to win out in the superpower lottery
@@bigbiafra5288 Greg Weisman said that the speedsters are significantly faster than Kryptonians. Lor-Zod just barely reacted in time, and the reason why Bart couldn’t dodge is because the heat vision is going at the speed of light, and it still takes speedsters like Bart and Barry some amount time to get up to near lightspeed speeds. Physically Lor-Zod couldn’t get near Bart’s speed, as we saw by Lor-Zod still being in relatively slow motion. Lor-Zod only got the upper hand thanks to heat vision automatically traveling at lightspeed.

That’s something I was concerned with too. Especially since he couldn’t hit Jay Garrick with his beams on New Genesis.
@@932ForeverLove It’s the confined space that gives him the edge. Jay was outside and had a lot more room to maneuver. Also, Jay could also be slightly faster than Bart or just better at dodging.

@@932ForeverLove EXACTLY ! Plus ! Kryptonians heat vision in almost every continuity travels close to the speed of light. Lor can’t PHYSICALLY move at that pace, but his heat vision can. Kryptonians are known to have strong reaction times. Don’t get me wrong, in a race, every single Flash in the show would beat every single Kryptonian.
