This moveset is awesome! Even as someone not terribly familiar with Rhythm Heaven, I feel like him morphing into a ton of different characters to perform colorful, wonky attacks in quick and seemingly random succession represents the series really well. As for him being 2D, I think that'd work well for him, I'm just not sure how they'd do it; Mr. Game & Watch uses a 3D model and is flattened on one axis. Based on that, I feel like if Karate Joe appeared 2D, he would be a 3D model flattened on an axis, but cel-shaded to give him that trademark outline. I feel like if they had the want to add a Rhythm Heaven character, they'd find a way to make it work
Mmmmm, I don't know. This seems more of a Rhythm Heaven character than it does Karate Joe. While I do like the idea of referencing other games, I don't think that morphing really fits the character. There isn't a huge reason to turn into a different character every time. Imagine how it would look in gameplay, with a 2D transforming into a completely new sprite after every single attack, appearing as an amalgamation of rapidly morphing character. What about hitboxes? Would they vibrate between every move? Using the Lockstep pose as an airdodge for one would be awesome. Referencing other characters was never a bad thing. The thing is, Karate Joe doesn't just transform in his games. He isn't copy and pastable like G&W is. I feel like the creator is taking TOO much inspiration from G&W for me to agree with it. Not even G&W morphs into so many different body types, but at least they are the same color every time.

I think Joe could still use some transforming, but I’m not sure if he needs to do it as much as he does.

I'm only half agreeing with the use of transformations. Sort of like how Lucas uses Duster's rope snake, Pac-Man using trampolines from Mappy, maybe Karate Joe can expand his repertoire of attacks and moves by borrowing weapons/items from other minigames. It's sort of similar to Game and Watch as well but since G&W is an amalgamation of a character it makes more sense for him to retain abilities throughout his franchise more smoothly and naturally compared to others like Lucas or Pac-Man who straight up rip abilities from other characters. But I digress. I would much rather see Karate Man as his own but I wouldn't be completely against mid-transformations either. As a big fan of the series I was thinking some what the same was you would But rather instead of him morphing he would spawn the literal appearance of said character For example: His down smash could be the same as bayo down smash / paluataina up smash where the tap trope foot taps in the opponent But most I agree with tho for the final smash I think it’ll be funnier if they are near they get put in the barrel and the barrel explodes or something I just want to see someone in preferably joe over chorus kids but none the lesser
Imo I think instead of morphing into the characters, Joe could pose or move like them, or maybe some characters could appear for some of the moves you mentioned Anyways I love how you just entirely made not only the full moveset, but the taunts and stages and more!!! I've been wanting RH rep on Smash for a good time now,, Good job on this video dude¡
there are 2 major things that jump out at me about his tilts and jab. 1) the precise beat should be set. It would be broken if you could just pick up a controller and press the a button 3 times quickly and get a free fully charged smash attack that has essentially no startup (because it's, well, a jab and would probably combo into itself if you were quick). you should have to press the button 3 times at a set tempo to prevent this, and I feel like a fully charged smash attack is a bit extreme, considering it's not that hard as humans to feel a beat. cool concept though, i like it 2)the "grr" should appear over his head after missing the third hit, leaving him open to attacks if he mucks up the timing, granting the opponent a free punish.
Wow, now I'm actually quite on board with Karate Joe as the Rhythm Heaven rep! I've always been pro-Chorus Kids personally, but this moveset really makes him work! Until you mentioned the morphing mechanic, I never even realised that literally the Remixes switch between rhythm games on a whim, so the morphing actually works! I had a similar rhythm concept for my ideas on Chorus Kids. They would have normal attacks that involve the three of them each doing a hit, and based on your timing from the first two hits, if you input the third hit after the same time interval as you did from the first to second, you could get bonus damage. And if you mess the third input up, you get decreased damage. The only thing is the game would have to keep track of the time interval every time you do those inputs. I also think there would be some frames of lenience (i.e. the inputs don't have to be frame-perfect).
Can you make a moveset for Paper Mario? Anyways, amazing video! This video really sold me on the potential of Karate Joe and the other Rhythm Heaven characters!
I could actually see the side special being like piranha plant where you charge it up but that's really the only thing I could even imagine differently, I love this
This is a very creative outline for what Karate Joe could possibly play like. While he's not my particular choice (my choice is Tibby), it would make a lot of sense for him to be chosen. Unfortunately, Rhythm Heaven really does fly under the radar compared to other of Nintendo's IPs, so the chance of an RH character making it in is veeeery slim (not to mention Joe is a Spirit). Then again, look at Fire Emblem. Before Melee, I think hardly any of us knew who Marth and Roy were, but now Fire Emblem is one the most popular JRPG franchises in the West. I won't say it's entirely due to Melee, but I think it definitely played a huge part. I think RH would really rise in recognition if it has some Smash rep though, not to mention I'd love to hear Smash's music team give their own take on Rhythm Heaven's music, with them using real instruments and not midi software.
I think Marshall or the Barista should be the one who transforms into the other characters. Have them ride on Karate Joe's shoulders, acting as his teacher.
Bro we need a Rhythm Heaven switch game, Great move set but I would've made the final smash "Go for a perfect" in which most of the Rhythm Heaven characters come together for one awesome mini game.
FINALLY! someone else that is thinking about putting heaven rhythm fever characters in fighting games! i'm so happy to see i'm not the only one who thought that :)
The moveset is cool but I think a really small but cool change would be if you had to time the up special, more height the better the timing, you dont go up immediately, but when you land on the boost panel is when you'd press it
I used to be a Chorus Kids supporter, as in wanting the Chorus Kids in smash more than Karate Joe, but seeing this made me want Karate Joe even more than Chorus Kids. Great job on the moveset, bro! 👍👍👍
This moveset really is good its competitive ITS FUN it sticks to its game! Rythmetic purposed attacks, adding charachters from the game, afterall karate joe doesnt make rythem heaven itself instead a cast! Well done ;) the thing i would disagree with is his neutral b is kinda strong
Thank god someone thinks the same way I do about a rhythm heaven character being like game and watch. However, I would honestly prefer something like the monkeys, as they pretty much appear in some form in every game in some way, and are pretty iconic. It would be so funny if we had this little monkey morphing into these different characters. But this moveset is very good
Honestly, whenever I pictured Karate Joe in Smash I always had a hard time trying to see how he’d play besides punching and kicking. But I’d say that you definitely nailed it right on the head! It definitely makes me hope to see him in Smash some day even more now.
I like this moveset, but I'm not a huge fan of side-B. The rest of the moveset sounds really fun, but side-B sounds like just another shield. Here's what I'd put for side-B: The chorus kids appear stacked on each other just like in your idea, but instead of making a forcefield all around themselves by singing one note, they'd each start singing notes individually which would create a sound field directly in front of them around the size of Lucas's PSI magnet. Opponents would get caught in this sound field and would be dealt damage each time the user presses the B button. However, to keep the attack going, the user has to press B twice at first, then again with the same rhythm as the first two, much like his combo hits. The difference is that instead of just going for 3 hits, this would continue for as long as the user could keep the combo going for, with the only escape for the opponent being if the user misses the window or DI-ing it after a lot of hits depending on where in the hitbox the opponent is. Also, if the move is held for a long time, the window to continue it would gradually get smaller and smaller, starting with more of a window than the neutral combos give so that it could be easier to get going, but quickly escalating after a certain threshold until it reaches the point where you'd need the timing of a god to keep it steady. It would also have a maximum amount of uses at around 20-30, but it'd be practically impossible to get there thanks to likely enemy DI and the timing. Once the move ends in any way, it would have a slightly large endlag proportional to how long it was kept up for before the Chorus Kids transform back into Joe. I think the fact that it wouldn't be as precise at first as the neutral combos would be nice to help some less experienced players get in on the rhythm fighter fun, but its combo potential would still allow more seasoned Karate Joe mains to get a massive payload out of the move if they can connect it. idk just an idea
This is a good moveset idea. I always imagined that Karate Joe's gimmick would be timing his attacks to the rhythm of the background music to deal more damage and knockback. His idle animation could bob up and down to the rhythm of the music, like in his minigames, to give the player an idea of when to time his attacks.
You missed out on making the final smash putting the opponent in a rhythm heaven game and karate joe gets to play the game to see how much damage he does.
10:18 loud sound warning geez also if i had to give karate joe an echo fighter it would absolutely be karate senior (he doesn't really have a name though), he would have slower but stronger attacks
I actually made a move set for Karate Joe a while back so I'd like to compare. Gimmick - Rhythm Joe's model will always bop in time to the music playing on the stage. When attacks are performed in time with this beat, they will be stronger and/or have different effects. Neutral Special - Karate Man Pressing the button spawns a flower pot flying towards Joe, and pressing it again makes him punch it forward (if you get the rhythm right). It travels fast and far but with a lot of damage falloff. Getting hit with the punch deals the most damage and knockback. Side Special - Jungle Gymnast Joe swings on an elephant trunk and when you press the button determines how far you leap when you let go. Good horizontal recovery. Does not put Joe in freefall. Up Special - Launch Party A block spawns under Joe counting down from 5. The closer to 0 you press after, the higher you go. No input will result in very little vertical distance. Has a hitbox and puts Joe in freefall. Down Special - Big Rock Finish 4 guitar strums(?) that follow the same rhythm in Big Rock Finish and create 4 hitboxes around him. First three all have increasing knockback, the final one stuns the opponent allowing for a follow up attack. Leaves Joe vulnerable if he misses. Jab - The same rhythm applied to Figure Fighter, and his rapid jab is his flurry from Karate Man Combos. Up Tilt - Upwards stab with Fork Down Tilt - Stomp from Crop Stomp. Comes out a bit slow but has good damage and buries at the sweet spot. Side Tilt - Pose from Space Dance Grab - Chameleon from Tongue Lashing is brought out and lashes forward. Works as a tether grab but cannot grab the ledge. Forward Smash - Flurry of strikes from a samurai sword in a similar fashion to Samurai Slice. Works similar to Cloud's F-Smash Up Smash - Joe claps above his head much like the monkeys in The Clappy Trio. Has a very specific sweet spot in the middle of the clap. Down Smash - Brings out a See Saw. If players are on the grounded end when he jumps on it, they'll be sent flying upwards. If on the other end, they will be launched regularly. Final Smash - Shoot-'Em-Up Joe leaps forwards and hits anyone in his way. Anyone caught in the attack will have their stock icon in place of the aliens in Shoot-'Em-Up. No rhythmic input is required, it's all cinematic. Taunts -Joe looks at his arm then turns his head to the screen and flexes, referencing Ringside -Joe hold an open book above his head like in Cheer Readers. Pages reference a variety of Rhythm Games in the series -Joe lays down and watches TV. Long taunt like Bayo's or Snake's but can be cancelled at any time.
One thing I think is cool about the morphing concept is that it can kinda be considered a reference to the Rhythm Heaven GBA minigame, Toran to Porin which features characters transforming between foxes and children with a puff of smoke when it happens.
I really like the moveset and it makes a lot of sense. I think that it would also be cool to be able to do a Jab Jab Neutral Special combo as well to fit with everything, allowing the enemy stuck in the jab to become a projectile as well. Also perhaps a wolf neutral special style thing with the initial kick having a hitbox of it's own. Of course, those are just some of my opinions. I really like your ideas on this and I would really love to see a Beat (From Jet Set Radio) for smash. Both because the songs in that game are amazing and would fit really well into smash and also Jet Set Radio has been very underappreciated by Sega in general.
I think side-b could be punch-kick (except the bomb launches forward, only dealing major damage when hitting the ground, not the player) and up be could be the combo, except the finishing punch launches him up, about the hight of inceneroar's recovery.
@@Sleepy_Cabbage Please, Minecraft isn't even considered "cringy" by most people nowadays because it's basically become a meme and Fortnite has all the cringy children and overreacting man-children nowadays.

Munchy monk - Become more powerful after eating Wandering samurai - Increases power of melee weapons Monzai birds - Grants the ability to do a quick-drop attack Sneaky spirits- increases the power of pac-man's up special See & saw - Decreases weight Beary - increases tossing power
We need the monkey in rythymn heaven as he's bin an all games and is in multiple games, he could be the trio timing, the book club or whatever it is. Also in b is the air rally by the monkey as the ball and the cat does the ba bum bum bum thing and if you press with the dog guy you go really high and it can do damage. Basically you could use the whole moveset of this but the monkey summons the people instead of transforming into them. Also, final smash is the space aliens thing which does damage with button press
Looks like that's one wanted character down for this series! I'd love to see Dark Matter appear in the future, if possible. Sure, he isn't voted as the most wanted, but he's the one true villain for the Kirby series I can see being playable.
I think that insted of a super string kick (the side tilt) he deals a normal powered kick but also kicks a bomb that deales extra knockback and damedge
I personally would make the side smash the raven from Manzai Birds, who would charge up his attack before delivering a "Donaiyanen!", similar to how Phoenix Wright can make a "HOLD IT!" or "OBJECTION!" Air box out of thin air in MvC3.
As someone who also wants to see Karate Joe in Smash, I couldn't have made a better moveset if I tried. Incorporating the rhythm aspect is definitely key, and for a while, I was thinking that it would work similar to Marth's Dancing Blade. The setup you suggested sounds far better. As for suggestions for a future episode, the character I want to see in Smash the most is currently Shovel Knight. As much of a Waluigi fan as I am, I was even more disappointed that Shovel Knight didn't make the roster. He's definitely got quite the potential, what with his shovel being able to reflect projectiles, not to mention the relics.
This is perfect! I really really want a rhythm heaven rep in smash. I don’t have as much hope with dlc as I did with the base roster but I still believe...a little.
Jabs deflect. The first up clap is just joe and he grows an affro but the second and third are as you say. The mutation is too odd and shouldnt be litteral. Shape may change slightly but it shouldnt mutate that much. He should have an interuptable charged range attack that is the flower pot similar to his deflection.
I haven’t watched the video yet but I can already expect a concept like this: Jo bopping to a rhythm(not the stage rhythm because that would be WAY to hard to implement)and if you time the rhythm to his beat you do more damage. Also here are some character ideas Earthworm Jim(earthworm jim) Frisk(undertale) The scout(TF2) King boo Cooking mama(cooking mama) Spyro Crash bandicoot And evee
If this were to happen, I feel like Nintendo would focus more on Karate Joe instead of him morphing into other characters. I feel like the morph would take the focus away from Joe. But still liked to concept.
I really like the idea of a Rhythm Heaven foghter in Smash and agree that Karate Joe is one of the best choices. I also like this moveset idea for the most part. However, I would personally add a couple tweaks to make it seem more like you're playing as Karate Joe in particular rather than just the anthropomorphized concept of Rhythm Heaven. In particular, I think the morphing mechanic is kinda weird considering Karate Joe is just a regular guy who has never been implied to have any powers beyond above average strength and reflexes. It would be better if the moves involving that worked as summons instead. Also, one of his attacks should involve the soccer ball from Double Date. If you know Karate Joe's backstory, you should know why
I've gotten several comments on it, so I'd like to clarify something about the neutral attack.

You've got a medal!
As a big fan of the series I was thinking some what the same was you would
But rather instead of him morphing he would spawn the literal appearance of said character
For example:
His down smash could be the same as bayo down smash / paluataina up smash where the tap trope foot taps in the opponent
But most I agree with tho for the final smash I think it’ll be funnier if they are near they get put in the barrel and the barrel explodes or something
I just want to see someone in preferably joe over chorus kids but none the lesser
Imo I think instead of morphing into the characters, Joe could pose or move like them, or maybe some characters could appear for some of the moves you mentioned
Anyways I love how you just entirely made not only the full moveset, but the taunts and stages and more!!! I've been wanting RH rep on Smash for a good time now,,
Good job on this video dude¡
I feel like the final smash should end in the punch kick combo that has the announcer shouting PUNCH KICK
ugh!! i love rhythm heaven fever. its such a good game series. im thankful for this!
Nice character choice!
Also, nice incorporation of other rhythm games!
And the use of the beat in the neutral moves is genius!
Superb!
A moveset for Phoenix Wright would be fantastic!
I think it'd be cool if his Final Smash was Joint Reasoning from DGS except he'd do it with Apollo or Edgeworth or Mia
Doesn't make it not cool for fans of the character.
@@ddd7038 Yeah, I know UMVC3 and that's why I want him so badly in smash, he would be the best joke/fan favorite character to be added
Hell yeah
@Jumpie Thats Apollo Justice (the game) in a nutshell
there are 2 major things that jump out at me about his tilts and jab.
1) the precise beat should be set. It would be broken if you could just pick up a controller and press the a button 3 times quickly and get a free fully charged smash attack that has essentially no startup (because it's, well, a jab and would probably combo into itself if you were quick). you should have to press the button 3 times at a set tempo to prevent this, and I feel like a fully charged smash attack is a bit extreme, considering it's not that hard as humans to feel a beat. cool concept though, i like it
2)the "grr" should appear over his head after missing the third hit, leaving him open to attacks if he mucks up the timing, granting the opponent a free punish.
The morphing idea is very similar to what I had in mind for Rhythm Girl lol
next to marx karate joe is actually my most requested character for smash i'm a huge rhythm heaven fan so really hope he makes it in someday
I never knew how much i wanted karate Joe in smash
Can you make a moveset for Paper Mario?
Anyways, amazing video! This video really sold me on the potential of Karate Joe and the other Rhythm Heaven characters!
Nah I’d prefer the titular character from Super Chibi Knight
Noooooo!
@@tatethecowman3966 YEEEEEEES!!
if he plays a paper mario game, he'll most likely do a paper mario character.
I loved this! If he gets in smash I hope his dodge roll turns him into a seal and he does a “six flipper roll!”
I don’t think i agree with him transforming, i think them coming out from behind joe is better
bird: *comes out from behind joe*
everybody else: dude wtf theres a bird behind you
I think Marshall or the Barista should be the one who transforms into the other characters. Have them ride on Karate Joe's shoulders, acting as his teacher.
Bro we need a Rhythm Heaven switch game, Great move set but I would've made the final smash "Go for a perfect" in which most of the Rhythm Heaven characters come together for one awesome mini game.
yes
I would’ve made it Remix 10 or Final Remix.
I think the chorus kids and karate joe have an equal chance
sadly :(
Both are spirits, Yay!
(Internally crying)
What about the monkey?
Maybe they'd be a tag team, and the character would be called Rhythm Heaven, like how the dog, duck and hunter make up Duck Hunt.
I recently started loving Karate Joe, so seeing this made my day. Excellent moveset.
Even the victory screens? Just put him in Nintendo this amazing person did the work for you.
Hey I love supporting fellow Joe's
I love you used the Final Remix of each game for the bg music
I don't remember where I heard it from but I like the idea someone had where they said Joe's neutral B should be a punch that can reflect projectiles.
Finally someone who acknowledges Karate Joe!!
Awesome moveset too!!!!!
FINALLY! someone else that is thinking about putting heaven rhythm fever characters in fighting games!
i'm so happy to see i'm not the only one who thought that :)
Karate joe
Faces the music
I kinda feel like the character would be called "Rhythm Heaven" kinda like Duck Hunt
that wouldn't make much sense.
@@NadieNobody Why is that? If it switches between characters from it. Then, yeah, it does
@@transorm987 because no character has ever been named after it's game, duck hunt duo, Mr. Game and Watch... The only exception are ice climbers.
@@NadieNobody It's duck hunt in most regions.
Karate Joe is actually my most wanted character for smash
Would love to see karate joe in smash
The moveset is cool but I think a really small but cool change would be if you had to time the up special, more height the better the timing, you dont go up immediately, but when you land on the boost panel is when you'd press it
I love how people dont consider karate man senior a variation of karate joe
I used to be a Chorus Kids supporter, as in wanting the Chorus Kids in smash more than Karate Joe, but seeing this made me want Karate Joe even more than Chorus Kids. Great job on the moveset, bro! 👍👍👍
I completely agree with karate joe for smash
I’m so glad I’m not alone in this! He may be a spirit but I’m not giving up hope yet!!!
Karate Joe Beats the Beat!
I believe he could do something similar to Duck Hunt where his specials summon other characters to perform the attack
But this moveset is very good
He should have an alt where he's got the cool hair from Remix 6
karate man senior, bee remix...
I love it! He would have been my choice for representing the Series too!
Great video! I hope I'll be in a Smash game in the future!
I believe in you, Joe!
I'm subbing specifically for these character concepts. Keep up the good work my dude man guy
Everybody: We need Rhythm Heaven in Smash!
*Sad Wah sounds in the distance*
Imagine Ryu vs. Karate Joe
Joe: "Hey, baby. How's it going?"
Karate Joe is my 2nd most wanted character in smash, waluigi always will be my first
Pizza, my man, great video.
NOW GIVE US A SORA EPISODE.
10:18 loud sound warning geez
also if i had to give karate joe an echo fighter it would absolutely be karate senior (he doesn't really have a name though), he would have slower but stronger attacks
I’m over here crying about how this is so well planned even though we won’t even get to see it buts it’s TOO GOOD MAN
I actually made a move set for Karate Joe a while back so I'd like to compare.
Gimmick - Rhythm
Joe's model will always bop in time to the music playing on the stage. When attacks are performed in time with this beat, they will be stronger and/or have different effects.
Neutral Special - Karate Man
Pressing the button spawns a flower pot flying towards Joe, and pressing it again makes him punch it forward (if you get the rhythm right). It travels fast and far but with a lot of damage falloff. Getting hit with the punch deals the most damage and knockback.
Side Special - Jungle Gymnast
Joe swings on an elephant trunk and when you press the button determines how far you leap when you let go. Good horizontal recovery. Does not put Joe in freefall.
Up Special - Launch Party
A block spawns under Joe counting down from 5. The closer to 0 you press after, the higher you go. No input will result in very little vertical distance. Has a hitbox and puts Joe in freefall.
Down Special - Big Rock Finish
4 guitar strums(?) that follow the same rhythm in Big Rock Finish and create 4 hitboxes around him. First three all have increasing knockback, the final one stuns the opponent allowing for a follow up attack. Leaves Joe vulnerable if he misses.
Jab - The same rhythm applied to Figure Fighter, and his rapid jab is his flurry from Karate Man Combos.
Up Tilt - Upwards stab with Fork
Down Tilt - Stomp from Crop Stomp. Comes out a bit slow but has good damage and buries at the sweet spot.
Side Tilt - Pose from Space Dance
Grab - Chameleon from Tongue Lashing is brought out and lashes forward. Works as a tether grab but cannot grab the ledge.
Forward Smash - Flurry of strikes from a samurai sword in a similar fashion to Samurai Slice. Works similar to Cloud's F-Smash
Up Smash - Joe claps above his head much like the monkeys in The Clappy Trio. Has a very specific sweet spot in the middle of the clap.
Down Smash - Brings out a See Saw. If players are on the grounded end when he jumps on it, they'll be sent flying upwards. If on the other end, they will be launched regularly.
Final Smash - Shoot-'Em-Up
Joe leaps forwards and hits anyone in his way. Anyone caught in the attack will have their stock icon in place of the aliens in Shoot-'Em-Up. No rhythmic input is required, it's all cinematic.
Taunts
-Joe looks at his arm then turns his head to the screen and flexes, referencing Ringside
-Joe hold an open book above his head like in Cheer Readers. Pages reference a variety of Rhythm Games in the series
-Joe lays down and watches TV. Long taunt like Bayo's or Snake's but can be cancelled at any time.
thank you for this! i reeeeealy want a rhythm heaven charactor in
I didn't know I wanted joe until I watched this video
I don’t know what rhythm heaven is, but if this guy gets into smash with this move set, I’m gonna main him.
One thing I think is cool about the morphing concept is that it can kinda be considered a reference to the Rhythm Heaven GBA minigame, Toran to Porin which features characters transforming between foxes and children with a puff of smoke when it happens.
Love the idea of karate joe being able to shapeshift into different characters
It adds more variety
Lmfao imagine playing karate joe online with the lag and everything
This is incredibly detailed. Good job!
Thank you!
But he’s a spirit.
I think side-b could be punch-kick (except the bomb launches forward, only dealing major damage when hitting the ground, not the player) and up be could be the combo, except the finishing punch launches him up, about the hight of inceneroar's recovery.
I love this characters moveset althought he might not be in this game because hes a spirit its a good idea
As much as I would seriously rather have chorus kids because it wouldn’t be like ryu ken brawler mac etc but great idea!
That moveset was great! Maybe you can do Minecraft Steve for one of these videos, that'd be so cool!
If they do add steve, they should add in his buildng mechanic in some way
Please do not add Steve Nintendo please
@@0oh_no why not, he seems pretty good for the role, is because of the "cringe" that surrounds it
@@Sleepy_Cabbage Please, Minecraft isn't even considered "cringy" by most people nowadays because it's basically become a meme and Fortnite has all the cringy children and overreacting man-children nowadays.
@George Zemenides Wait but isn't Steve already in Minecraft?
10:26 prepare for jump scare
Here are some ideas for the DLC spirits!
Munchy monk - Become more powerful after eating
Wandering samurai - Increases power of melee weapons
Monzai birds - Grants the ability to do a quick-drop attack
Sneaky spirits- increases the power of pac-man's up special
See & saw - Decreases weight
Beary - increases tossing power
This would be cool, I like the Idea for a beat-based Character.
YES! THIS IS THE ONE CHARACTER I WANTED FOR SMASH!
Can’t wait to see “Master Chief FOR SMASH”!
I don’t have as much hope with dlc as I did with the base roster but I still believe...a little.
great ideas, it would be absolutely perfect if there was just a little less morphing and he still used some basic karate moves
I’ve always thought a indie character would do great. I was thinking Sash Lilac from Freedom Planet
this is amazing..
COME ON NINTENDO ADD KARATE JOE AND WALUIGI
Jabs deflect. The first up clap is just joe and he grows an affro but the second and third are as you say. The mutation is too odd and shouldnt be litteral. Shape may change slightly but it shouldnt mutate that much. He should have an interuptable charged range attack that is the flower pot similar to his deflection.
I want a rhythm heaven rep so bad!
Finally, somebody understands ;)
I haven’t watched the video yet but I can already expect a concept like this:
Jo bopping to a rhythm(not the stage rhythm because that would be WAY to hard to implement)and if you time the rhythm to his beat you do more damage.
Also here are some character ideas
Earthworm Jim(earthworm jim)
Frisk(undertale)
The scout(TF2)
King boo
Cooking mama(cooking mama)
Spyro
Crash bandicoot
And evee
"Rhythm Team" or something would be a more fitting name when it features so many of these characters
If this were to happen, I feel like Nintendo would focus more on Karate Joe instead of him morphing into other characters. I feel like the morph would take the focus away from Joe. But still liked to concept.
A rhythm based fighter would be a nightmare for online play, _WHICH IS WHY I WANT ONE._
