I’m surprised how similar the accent is to the Scottish highland accent. I knew the people there including my relatives are descended from a mix of Irish and Vikings from Norway but I didn’t expect the accent and rhythm to be that similar.
I listened to this only knowing English n alot of German from my childhood...it took like four times listened but I think i understand like a quarter of this conversation....wtf?
Easy to understand Norsk with your dialects and the way you are talking ( slowly and clearly) 👍🏻😁but Norsk not so easy to understand in everyday life with different dialects, slang and normal speech speed🤪
this is why quit studying bokmål ... in daily life I heard people talk in such a different way compared to what I was learning... heck, I can now read Norwegian newspapers lol
@@timoloefwhat should I learn? where can I even begin to learn the spoken language? like I hear the person talking, if there’s subtitles I can track the words on the news, but if someone were to talk to me about hva er typisk norsk I wouldn’t be able to understand them. I understood every word here, I could absolutely hold a strong conversation about almost anything with these two.
I think Norwegian sounds prettier to the ear than swedish. Norwegian flows more smoothly whereas swedish is more choppy. With that said, it's only a minimal difference.
The German part would be correct, the Russian part however is totally wrong. There's like 0% Russian there, none at all. Perhaps because it sounds weird to you like the way Russian also is weird sounding to you but it would have as much in common with Russian as Japanese would.
As a person that speaks English as a second language at a bit more than conversational degree and just started to learn German, at first I was like "yeah, it's actually quite understandable" but after the second sentence it all falls apart. Them Vikings are a scary bunch.

As a Danish person I understood about half to 3 quarters of the conversation. I'd say that's pretty good.
Me too; im danish and i understanded not a lot of it

Lol, this guy was able to watch the video four times even though he does not know Norwegian. I guess that is the power of two beautiful women 🤣🤣

Yay! Maria og Kristina takker for videoen
I'm an American that's been studying Swedish, and I have to say Norwegians and Swedes sound exactly the same. Like it's literally the same thing.
I think Norwegian sounds prettier to the ear than swedish. Norwegian flows more smoothly whereas swedish is more choppy. With that said, it's only a minimal difference.
Danish also sounds a lot like norsk and swed, but finish is something else😂😂
I learned Norwegian first. I was watching the Swedish Love Is Blind show recently, and they all sounded very nasal to me.
Something between German and Russian. I like the way how it sounds

@flybeep1661 i think they just mean how it sounds lol, I agree that some norwegian does sound a bit similar russian
It sounds to me like a cross between Russian and French? I like it thou.
Tack så mycket för fina samtal :)
Her snakker vi norsk, ikke svensk.
🤗🙏Tusen takk
I can listen to this 24 hours

If you speak Swedish this is the closest thing you can experience when an Italian listens to ppl speaking Spanish
Why is the lady in the red speaking too fast 😓 Hard to understand. 😢

Dessverre.

I've been studying Danish for a year now and I'm able to understand this to a great extent. But am I able to understand Danish as well?...NO! 🥲
