He has been on the adjunct faculty of both UCLA and Berkeley, and served as President, then Chairman of the American Cinematheque where he was responsible for the restoration of the Egyptian Theater into a modern, living museum of film. He was cofounder and initial editor for the UCLA Entertainment Symposium.
Peter co-authored a recently released study on New Media and its impact on the film industry, has authored three books (two on the entertainment industry) and continues to write and lecture on the “business”. He has authored dozens of articles including “The Evolution of Film and Television Upside: But Where Are We Now and Where Are We Likely to Go?” for the ABA’s Entertainment & Sports Lawyer (March 2022).
Peter Dekom is a management consultant and entrepreneur in the areas of entertainment, Internet, and telecommunications.
