Man how is nobody commenting on how exceptional the quality of this footage is? Races 10 years later and beyond hardly have this quality. This is exceptional.
The in car footage is so cool!
this looks like satalite footage
It's all about the tape. This looks and sounds like a master tape from the studio.
87 was the year of paint schemes. Every single car in the field is so legendary.
why is the camera work better here than now?
haha indeed. Some races of the 80's & 90's had better quality than 2000's races. 😅
Bill Elliot boo hooing at the end is hilarious.
I and everyone else remember the pass in the grass, but the even better move was Dale diving low getting through the Bodine/Elliott tangle before that. Never was a Dale fan, but that was some wheelin.
Raise hell, praise Dale. What a legend
I Like Dale Earnhardt Number 3 Wrangler Jeans Chevrolet Monte Carlo Super Sport Fastback Aero Coupe Totally Amazing Badass NASCAR Winston Cup Series Beautiful Paint Scheme From 1987
Probably THE most Earnhardt moment of Dale's career, they didn't call him One Tough Customer for nothing...
1:56:50 Bill did not in fact have him covered!
I miss Dale Earnhardt
RIP to one of NE Ohios favorite sons, Tim Richmond.

👍
thank you
Lap 1 bodine takes Earnhardt & Davey into turn three, three wide. Davey backs out & Earnhardt jumps down from the high groove down against bodines right door. In doing so, Earnhardt took all the air off bodines spoiler.
Back when Race cars raced !
I'm not so sure Bodine didn't come down on purpose without any help. He and Earnhart's only chance was for one of them to get in front of Elliot at all cost, so maybe Bodine took the hit for Earhart. Then it was block block block and split the money later. I think Bodine is lying in the tail end interview(kind of lying) saying he wanted to know who spun him out. He knew no one spun him out. He's way too happy in the interview. doopers delight
Dale's car wasn't as good as Bill's.....not a problem for Ironhead.
The best car and driver WON 😎👍💨💨
bill had the best car, they were all scared to be in front of Dale. Bill should of waited till the last lap
Look at all of those "chew" cars...lol
👍 🏁🏁 👍
Dale Earnhardt won the race with the Wrangler Jeans Chevy Monte Carlo
*BOW-Dyn*
The commentator is "very definitely" an odd one.
BOW-DINE SPINNNINGGG!!
All Dale was doing was setting up his car for last segment??? Hey DALE knows how to win races and he was just playing with them 😅😅😅😅😅
Dale could not beat Elliott without cheating
lmao - at your panties still bunged up your ass about it...all these years later. and then, there is that video of you cheating on your wife on you tube as well.
And how exactly did he cheat? Elliott had the fastest car & the smallest balls & just got out-drove, all there was to it...
not cheating, he was just racing dirty and clearing himself off Bills front end.
Ol bill was a sore loser
Poor Bill, stating Earnhardt spun Bodie out, when it was Bill that wrecked Bodine. Crying about respect when he bumped Earnhardt after the race was over. Still mad today.
I saw that differently. There was no way Bodine didn’t see Elliott. When you look at the angle of the push by Earnhardt, I’d say Earnhardt wrecked Bodine.
@@matthewjohnston1400 Opinions vary. But the film doesn't show all angles. But Bill did push Earnhardt more than once and not only Earnhardt too. There have been multiple drivers who pushed other drivers in that era.
@@erwinpadgett1050 I watched it several times and the view from the front showed the angle I’m talking about. These days we’d have a lot more data and camera angles to figure this out but Bodine was racing alongside Elliott. He knew Elliott was there and was pushed into Elliott from behind by Earnhardt. At least that’s the way I saw it.
Earnhardt caused that wreck. That goof was literally known for spinning people out. Nobody had respect for earnhardt. He didnt deserve any.
@@Andrew_460 there is just no doubt that Earnhardt caused that wreck. I agree.
The day Ironhead proved the, fastest car does not always win.
1:53:17 lmao
1:46:27 One of the most badass moments in NASCAR history happened here. Godspeed Earnhardt!
