    Good day Teacher!
    Could you help us to use between age and year old?
    " ...two years old
    And ....at this age ".
    Thanks advance for your help !

    • @WoodwardEnglish
      @WoodwardEnglish  5 лет назад +2

      NUMBER + years old (e.g. five years old)
      Age = the length of time that a person has lived or a thing has existed
      AT THE AGE OF + number (though this is not common is general spoken English)

    Thank you. It was an easy and organized way of explaining how 'enough' is used in sentences. I like it because it goes from the simplest sentence structures to more complex ones. We witness transformational grammar in many instances. Speakers of other languages have to understand the mechanics of how English sentences are put together. You did a good job.

    The room is quiet enough for me to study.
    Can you explain what is different in these sentences?

    • @WoodwardEnglish
      @WoodwardEnglish  3 года назад +1

      The first sentence... the room is not sufficiently quiet. It is still a little noisy and because of this, I find it difficult to study.
      2nd sentence: I can study because the room is quiet.
