- Just when today's Saturday Cinema has us on the edge of our seats, the film disappears! The Temporary Fault caption is soon on screen and David Allan apologises for the break. There's no quick fix - the film needs to be transferred to another projector. As visuals switch to the programme slide, two familiar tunes keep us entertained
"What are you talking about?"

If it's anything like the Sopranos ending, it means he's had his head blown off by someone leaving the men's room
The temporary fault slide would have been fixed to a number of different slides what's known as the NODDY system where a camerea with coloured lens could point to a number of screens on a wooden frame and use it, the BBC revolving globe would have been another!
Look it up it exists!!!!
Where the US is concerned, it's basically a projector with a camera or scanning system attached to it, but also one that had to be made specifically to run the film properly at 23.976fps while a 5-blade shutter is employed to prevent flicker when run through a video camera used.
BBC2 has a different control room from BBC1, and so the slides looked different from the captions on BBC1.
My Chemical Romance does a nice job covering it on their first album.
It is....what's with all the red; looks hellish
Um tape must of burned out
The song is "Romance Anonimo"
The caption at 3:06 says “The Programme Will Continue As Soon As Possible”
I guess we'll never know what he WAS talking about...
We apologise for the break in the program
We will continue as soon as possible
We will correct the fault
Here on bbc tv
That was...
Fucking horrifying
@Cheeseydudet

BBC 2 Temporary Fault😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
What the film called? And who starred of which actor?
The Time travelers Ryan
Sounds like the first piece of music was played live and then the "BREAD" tape must have been on the trade test tape deck for Windmills Of Your Mind.
They say the BBC dumbing down is a recent thing - calling a telecine machine a "projector"!
what were they talking about?
One of the most boring technical fault slides ever!
