if you all get a chance to go to the Missouri State Penitentiary, I highly recommend! They have ghost tours at night, and you can even stay the night inside! Super creepy but cool to see at the same time! I went once and it low-key gave me and my classmates chills, especially going into the gas chambers and death row.

I live near the Jefferson area in Missouri. I have been in Missouri State penitentiary multiple times. This penitentiary is very haunted and very old it was operated in 1836-2004. It was also one of the first prisons in the US to execute a woman. Now when I was 13 I took a trip there for my birthday. There were trips that you could take called ghost tours. My ghost tour lasted from 8:30 at night to 5:30 in the morning. When you get there you will check in and you will be separated into certain groups with certain colors I was in the green group. After that you will head to a certain building with multiple jail cells and I kind of like dungeon cells. At first they will only talk about what you were going to do throughout the night. The first thing the tour guides do is they take you around to all the places and you do certain things to interact with the ghosts. After you are done with that you will have your own free time. Me, my mom and my dad had taken this trip but my dad had decided he didn't want to do free time, so he took a nap in the car on me and my mom explored. Now there are multiple stories that I have from this prison but one that scared me the most was in the first building that you were in at the start. For context none of the lights in the prison are on you are supposed to have your own flashlights and you can show some identification and get your own paranormal devices. When we got into the building I had wanted to go to a certain cell so bad. It was like it was calling to me but I don't know why. The only things that my mom and me had were dowsing rods, an EVP recorder and that's all. Well when we went to enter this room or cell my mom got an extremely unsettling vibe as soon as she walked in. I sat on one of the beds and she sat on the other one across from me. I was very fixated with the dowsing rods so I had the dowsing rods in my hand. I first asked the typical questions can I get your yes and no's. I also introduced myself as my name and I also introduced my mom, and whenever I introduced my mom I'd let them know that she was a CO (corrections officer) from another prison. After that I started to get very uneasy. We had asked a couple questions like yes and no questions of course, but after a while I had the random idea to ask if it hated me. It immediately said yes. Then my mom randomly asked the question "do you want to touch my daughter." I don't know where she got that question from but it immediately answered yes. Me and her immediately left. My mom took two pictures in front of the cell with the weird ghost, one was without me in it and one was with me in it. When we looked at the pictures the one without me in it was completely clear. And when we looked at the other picture with me in it there was a weird gray mist at the bottom of my feet. There are thousands of other stories from this prison. Some from maybe ex inmates, or from ex officers. All I know is I won't go back into that cell. There are other multiple stories that I have from talking to the prisoners, but that story always makes my hair stand up.

Shepton nalet prison is a great haunted prison theres so much interesting history. I went there for a school trip there was pictures of ghost that was caught on cameras on the wall near the entrance and the prison is still in good condition .there was also some greate excapes that happend there but they plane to demolish it soon

I recently went to Easter State Penitentiary. It was so much fun. I didn’t get to explore the whole thing sadly but I did get to see most of it. I definitely want to go back and do it again. Learning about Al Capone was so much fun

I grew up and am still in central Missouri. I would love to see yall go to the Missouri State Penitentiary! I went on a tour there about a year ago. It was really cool to see and to hear the stories.
