Thank you all who reached out to me on Instagram (@Hneivaaaa) with advice and encouragement! You all are so nice! 😇
Trick is to wait till your teeth are in horrible pain before getting them pulled. Then you don't even notice any pain aftewards because you are just relieved. That's what I have always done. LOL
My bottom wisdom teeth "would not come out" the dentist had his assistant "who looked like she was on the German Female Weight Lifting Team" hold me in the chair while he stood on the chairs sides and gave my tooth a yank.. no dice, both the bottom teeth hand to be cut in half, to be removed, the one which gave me all the pain for the visit, which would click!!!.. then I would be face first on the ground, hello pain.. well turns out that tooth had 5 roots not just four lol.
GURL, If they had told me they were not giving me gas to take out my wisdom teeth, I would have walked out. yes, I had them all removed at one time, they were also impacted and I remember nothing because I got gas.
@Nave a paper towel? OR a Glass cake covering would probably be more economical/environmentally friendly and well safe because paper towels can catch fire… for the microwave if it wasn’t obvious/clear enough as to what I was referring too. 😅🤣🤣
We cover our food with a paper plate so nothing splatters. Sending prayers and hope you feel a lot better.❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻
We always cover with paper towels then I wet a clean paper towel with lemon juice for 30 seconds in the microwave, then wipe it out and smells good
From Judy in Australia 🇦🇺. For a microwave cover, look in thrift shops for glass casserole dishes with lids or use your current crockpot lid. They work beautifully. ❤️🇦🇺
Yes! I have hand me downs from my mum, ye olde corningware white with blue flowers 😂
I was driving a semi when my wisdom teeth started acting up. A dentist at a truckstop called the dean of Dentistry at the local university.. he pulled all 4 at once and I was back on the road in 36 hours after
Prayers are outside of time which kinda makes them retro-active. So putting you on my prayer list today for quick healing and all the Fruits of the Spirit.
Summer is a wonderful, caring friend. A LOT of great people surround you.
When someone tells you now that they are having g there wisdom teeth removed. You now know what every bodies comment and compassion toward you before you had them out was about. You feel there pain. Summer is just a blessing.
I cover plates with a damp paper towel in the microwave. Keeps the splatter down.
Great idea!!! 😊
That's fine and all, but Jesus doesn't have to clean the microwave.
I do the same...
My wife cranks it up on high it spatters everywhere. SOOOO she gets to clean it but she cheats now guess boiling water makes it clean up easy
Use parchment paper
A few years ago I had my wisdom teeth removed but mine were impacted so I had to go to a specialist and honestly the recovery period was the hardest part in my experience but so glad you had Summer to look after you, she is awesome! You are also awesome and handled it like a champ!! Glad to see you are feeling better! Take care😊💕
I feel ya! It's been rough but we're getting through it! 🙌🏼😅
Mine were impacted as well. I was 17 and got put under when I got mine cut out. Each one was sawed into 4 pieces in order to get them out. I looked like a squirrel with nuts in its mouth... I was that swollen and then I had sockets where the stitches were, so I had to have medicated gauze packed in the holes that my teeth came out of. It took 2 months for me to recover.
So glad the wisdom teeth are out and you are on the road to healing. I’m praying the numbness will go away. Let us know how you are doing. Summer is a super nurse and you are really blessed by her love and care. I had my wisdom teeth pulled in my early 20’s and all went well also. Take care and God bless 🙏
Glad the surg went well for you!
Summer, major props for your excellent nursing!
For a microwave cover, we use the super cheap old style flimsy paper plates. They work great, especially when you're heating something up on a plate. Because the paper plate is like a regular plate, when it's covering your food it hovers over it and doesn't stick to what you're heating up.
Tell Cole that he needs to start covering his food with a paper towel before he microwaves his food, or else he can clean the microwave oven next time it gets dirty!!
Who said it was all Cole's fault? 🤔
Or the oven safe parchment paper works great as well.
You looked so nervous and vulnerable, before the operation and so pleased after it was done. I applaud you for all the cleaning effort in the kitchen. Either when they fail to erupt, or worse lie down on the job and grow the wrong way. It is much better, to look back on them, rather than worrying they are a problem. I am lad it is all done, wisdom teeth can become a real problem. Either, when they fail to erupt, or worse lie down on the job and grow the wrong way. That is when you hear of the greater problems they can cause. It is so much better, when you can look back on them going, rather than worrying they are still a problem.
So glad you're ok. Thank heaven for a really sweet friend like Summer.
We have a silicon dome that fits over a dinner plate that we use for covering items in the microwave. It's about 4-inches high. It works fantastic. Not only does it keep things from splattering but it also makes the food heat quicker.
We usually cover a plate with a medium or large size non plastic bowl.
Just a suggestion for cleaning your microwave. Throw a wet wash cloth in and run it for a few seconds. It will be hot and the extra moisture will loosen the stuck on food. Wipe it clean and viola.
We cover our stuff in the microwave with a paper plate. If we have the cheap ones, one goes on the bottom for the food and one goes on top as a cover. Then we put the cover under the bottom to double the strength of it.
Yes, the hardest part with getting wisdom teeth removed in my opinion is how you feel afterwards. For the microwave, you can always take the same type of dish you have the food in as a lid, (so if using a bowl, put the same type of bowl upside down as the lid) . Works great 🙂
For the microwave I use glass pan tops, I have a small one I use for bowls and a big one for plates. Just make sure if you use glass lids that they don't have a metal band around the edges. Using paper plates defeats the purpose of trying to keep the microwave clean because I've had stuff spatter from the sides and it can only be used once.
You guys are wonderful people and it is so nice to watch the loving interaction between you. God Bless you all. I do hope the pain subsides and the numbness goes soon and all the very best wishes to you Nave for a speedy recovery. You are such an impressive happy person; just smiling and being positive all the way through. Well done Nave x
When I microwave, I like to cover it with a wet paper towel. Holds moisture in and prevents a mess from happening. Works great for almost anything, best with bowls.
Glass dome cake covers work really well. As always, thank you for sharing.
Cole came to his sisters to stay the night...THAT is awesome!...He is the best boyfriend for her... ever! BTW, Summer is the best friend ANYONE could ask for. Period.
Summer is so wonderful to help you during your recovery, I am impressed. I had a tooth pulled today myself. I don't feel to bad for it, nothing that a little jack can't tame. Nave, you are so adorable, CC better thank his guardian angel for all the help. Nurse, Nurse Summer, I need some pudding too!
use a paper towel to cover your food plate when you cook in the microwave the food wont spatter
If you put a ceramic mug mostly full of water then either use baking soda and or lemon juice, about a Tablespoon then microwave it for about 2 minutes, then wipe with your sponge. It makes it very clean and smell nice.
You guys are both the sweetest things you make me laugh every time your together lol
I use the ikea microwave food cover. It’s plastic but it’s never melted.
I would have walked out the door when I found out there was no pre-sedation! Had some major dental work a couple of years ago and my Dentist is also an Oral Surgeon. Our niece’s husband is anesthesiologist and he was booked that day or he would have come and knocked me out. Instead he had a friend who did my anesthesia when I had my hysterectomy come. I love him cause he knocks you out totally! Honey, next time for any major procedure remember to ask if you will be given a local or general anesthesia. At my age I’ve had so many surgeries and procedures I’m never going to tough out any procedure anymore. I’m so glad you did well and that you had Summer there to take care of you. It’s very special that the two of you have such a close relationship considering you will probably be sister-in-laws someday! I have a wonderful sister-in-law who’s a nurse that specialized in neo natal intensive care. She took care of several of the family’s new babies born a little too soon or lungs were not totally developed. She worked the night shift and gave Mom time to rest knowing she was there. It was very comforting. Take care honey and don’t overdue it. ❤️
Nave, you did great. You really are a trooper, hon. And what a blessing to have Summer’s expert nursing care. ❤️
Easy way to clean microwave. Place a cup with water inside. Turn on and let the water get hot to the point it produces steam. This loosens the splatters then just wipe clean.
Girl! I had all four pulled, gum still over them, and I ended up with lockjaw for a month. Had to push the straw between my teeth to just eat a shake, drink water. It was horrible!!!! I wouldn't wish that pain on my worst enemy.
Glad you're doing alright. Stay healthy and always take the chance to enjoy life.
At Dollar Tree you can buy plate covers for the microwave. They are plastic but do great in the microwave and dishwasher. We have had them for several years and they do not show any age and work very well.
They also have plastic covers that they sell at Walmart to cover your plate w. I use them also to cover any food I have warm sitting on the counter then often place pot holders on there as well.
Go to an Asian market and buy a bowl shaped woven bamboo plate cover. They clean up easy with soap and water and rinse clean with vinegar and water. They are fairly inexpensive and last about a year before needing replacement. (vinegar is a great anti bacterial and food safe)
Hey Nave! I bought a few microwave safe glass/ceramic bowls & casserole pots which have glass lids. I prefer them to plastic and also to having to unnecessarily waste paper towels. Some of my pots are way old, like my mum bought them in the 80s/90s (think the square white corningware ones with the blue flowers 😂). I think it's a good idea to invest in a few of these of different sizes to suit your needs. Just coming from the perspective of less waste. Have a great day!
Having recently separated from the Army in 1974, I went to an AF base dentist to have my wisdom teeth pulled by an Air Force Colonel. He found me in my fatigues seated in his chair, as he approached he spotted my jump boots... "Airborne?" he asked, "Yes Sir, C-Co 2-506th," says I "Well," says he, "You won't be needing Novocain then." I choked out a "Yes Sir." Somewhere there is a dentist's chair with both arms crushed where my fingers were. I did uphold the honor of Division by not letting out so much as a whimper through the entire ordeal. AATW! You did us proud Nave!
You are such a stud!!! Looks to me like you have a wonderful family who cares about you. And I'm definitely glad I was knocked out for my wisdom teeth.
We do half a cereal bowl of water and then the other half is vinegar turn it on for 5 minutes and then just remove it from the microwave and wipe it out! Stuck on food just falls right off
I have a plastic dome that covers most things without touching the food. It works great. I rarely have to wipe down the walls or top of my micro.
I love how close the 2 of you are, it warms my heart God Bless!
Summer ur the best to take care Nava. Ur a rockstar Nava. U'll be ok.
I have purchased a cover at dollar tree it is plastic, but it doesn't touch the food it is about plate size and a dome shape with holes to let moisture escape. We keep it aside of the microwave and put it over anything we expect to splatter.
Paper towels work to cover food in the microwave but I prefer to use those cheap paper plates. I just put a stack on top of my microwave so they’re easy to get to. Plus, you can reuse them if they aren’t splattered with food...
Handy towel over the top of food when in the microwave
I use a dampened paper towel.. over any foods. Provides protection against splatters as well as moisture/steam for the food
Wonderful. You did good and Summer is the best.
Love watching the show
I often use the Pyrex lids from our Pyrex casseroles to cover plates of food in the microwave. You sometimes have to nudge bits of food under round the edges but they work well. They heat faster than with those plastic things. Just be careful because of course they get hotter. The larger ones work well on a dinner plate and smaller ones on a salad size plate. Then I wash them and put them back with the casseroles they belong to. Clean microwave. 😊👍
First time viewer, first impressions, that kitchen is right out of the 70's and 80's! Wow! Also, you're adorable!
You are one special young lady. Hope you heal fast.
God bless you Summer for your gracious, kind soul... God bless you too Nave- I know you were relieved to know that you were in good hands with being in Summers care. Praying that you’ll heal up as soon as possible!
Yay kiddo you went through that like a champ. I’m so glad that you are healing up well and getting back to normal...love ya..God Bless!
Great job on the video glad ya made it through the wisdom teeth 🦷 adventure summer was a champ taking care of you
THANK YOU for properly packing lids
Microwave: we've bought Pyrex glass casserole dish lids that we use to cover items in the microwave. They're easy to find at secondhand stores or thrift shops. Usually a casserole dish breaks before its lid does.
I just posted the same! Well, I use the lids of my current casseroles though.😊
Good idea!
We have a large glass lid from a round casserole dish that we used to cover things as large as a dinner plate to keep the microwave clean.
CorningWare also makes large casserole dishes with glass lids.
We also keep a paper towel on the glass plate that rotates so it catches any spills and can be disposed of easily. 😉
Yay for Corningware! 😂 I've been commenting about mine throughout this comment section. Such a useful old thing!
4 impacted wisdom teeth without anesthesia, GREAT JOB NAVE! Girl you have this in the bag, not many people can go through that without anything. Love your videos, glad Cole had time to come see you. Having Summer to watch over you, EPIC!! She is a keeper for sure, such a wonderful family.
Four days is really good going. I had mine out over two visits, one side at a time. First was ok and about the same as yours. Second time was way worse, the tooth was deep and hard to access, took nearly two hours, the dental surgeon had to chisel it out in tiny slivers, nearly 20 of them. I was swolllen like your day two for a whole week. Luckily I slept a lot and had protein shakes and soup ready to go.
You are really a great housekeeper, cleaner and cook.
Hey kiddo, if you have an all-glass lid that will fit on top of dishes in the micro, try that. It doesn't have to be a perfect fit but microwaves go right through glass and of course a lid is easier to clean. Try the lid from the crock pot for starters, super handy.
for you microwave I use either a paper towel or micro wave safe plate. my micro wave has been used a lot in the six years maybe cleaned it a dozen times. still looks great.
The joy that nave brings to the channel is great, but get nave and summer together omg, is so crazy 😜 fun to watch.
Bless your heart! Such a positive person and blessed to have a great nurse. They didn't put me under neither and it wasn't as bad as I thought. Get well soon!
To clean and deodorize the microwave, put a 1/4 cup of baking soda in a cup of water, microwave for 2 minutes, then let it sit with the door closed for 10 minutes. It loosens the food and makes it smell nice with no harsh chemicals.
Just cover your food with a papertowel....a NEW habit to work on.
Best food cover for the microwave: coffee filters. Also great in the bottom of the popcorn bowl and under French fries.
Best food cover - the plastic food cover designed for the job...
Nave use wax paper. I've been using it since the 80's and since my mom was a Home Ec teacher she told her students to use as well.
2019 still good. As long the box is not in the sun or in high temperature. Watch out for the dry pockets in your mouth.
Depending did you see a orthodontist or oral surgeon, because if your nerve is woven between the roots you might want to check with your oral specialist.
So glad you are feeling better. I had mine out 40 years ago. They were impacted so I had to be put under. I was young like you at the time and I remember it being unpleasant but not awful. But I had big chipmunk cheeks for about a week. Love you Nave. You are such sweet spirit. God bless❤️
Use paper plate over food to control splatter in microwave
🙏🏻for complete healing!
Ouch!! It brings back memories! Of when I got mine out over accouple of visits because my grandfather was a dentist! ( He was best and was one for 50years) He did them. They were not impacted but man the sounds of things slipping and prying to get them out wasn't fun. But I made it and after the last one I was eating steak that night well on one side of my mouth. I'm sure things have changed allot over the years as I think I had mine out 20years ago. But man seeing you have yours our brought the memories right back. Hope you are recovering well. God bless.
Yay Summer!! You two are becoming such good friends. Feel better soon Nave! peace and love y'all
Microwave food covering: I use an upside down plate or bowl - in addition to keeping mess down, it helps keep food from drying out. Just be careful when lifting it - lift away from yourself so that you don't get a steam burn.
Use large coffee filters for your microwave covers! They're cheap and work pretty good. :)
Aww God Bless you Nave, I can relate to your pain, but having a best friend like Summer taking care of you must of helped a lot, enjoying your video's keep safe and well.
I remember having that done over fifty years ago. You took it like a trooper. but when you said you hated being numb all I could think of was "I'd rather be numb than to be in pain." Glad everything turned out OK................... Pax Vobiscum......
You are so blessed to not be all bruised. Be well Nave
Good job kids! Summer thanks for being such a blessing to your family. And thank you to all the CS family for sharing you lives with us. I am praying you get a RUclips Emmy.
I had my first filling at about 23 years old , after I had had 2 children, both born C-Section . I to was concerned about Dental work so I think you were brave and big thank you to Sumer. God bless you all.
A lot of prescriptions for wisdom removal 🙃. Once in a while I use Angry Mama microwave cleaning gadget.. and the thin sheet Mr. Clean magic eraser sheets work good.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and adventures. I always use paper plates in the microwave, I really like the Chinet plates, have no pattern, my thinking no ink, less chemicals and water in production. That and they are plenty thick to prevent soaking thru and getting burned, plus keep their shape to stay off of food. With the thick rim on top and bottom makes plenty of space within for food to be contained. Use the top plate under the bottom plate after heating to add strength and insulation from the warm food. The other nice thing is you can form a clam shell out of two plates with staples to make disposable short term Tupperware, just remember to remove the staples before microwaving.
Also, it’s never to late for prayer, god knows not of the limits of time. That and give some butter scotch candy or pudding a try, it’s very yummy 😋.
I think that yellow oven is amazing
there is a lot of love shown in this video!
I usually use an upside down paper plate to cover my food in the microwave. I reuse it if it didn't get splattered. If the microwave gets dirty I boil a bowl of water with half a lemon in it. Keep the door closed and let it sit for 15 minutes or so. Then everything just wipes out clean and grease free.
Hope you feel better soon. That was so nice of Summer to take care of you after the extraction of your wisdom teeth.
Also don.t be surprised if tiny bone fragments come out of the holes later. Odd but no big deal.
How about wooden covers for containers in the microwave oven? No plywood which has glue in it. Just cut a log into slices large enough to cover the container. You could rub essential oil into the wooden cover. Remove the bark if you like. Do not use motor oil. I might use a sheet of paper towel under the wooden lid. I hope you like this idea.
What a wonderful sister in law🌹😀
I had all 4 removed ;just Novocain and Nitrous oxide. Glad I did all 4 at once because I sure would not want to go back and do it again! Prayers for a quick recovery. I did look like a chipmunk for a few days 😊
Coles kitchen drawer organization reminds me of his workshop!!!
Actually I organized the kitchen drawers haha 😂
@@NavexCole Wow...you are both cut from the same cloth...hope you are feeling better sweet girl!!
I love. ♥️👍 your cleaning SPIRIT and understanding of "how"..and "what"...I love. ♥️👍 Cole's continual desire, and work toward order, and cleaness...
Blessed to have Summer to take care of you.
Reminds me of getting my uppers and lowers all pulled at the same time!
Wax paper works great for covering things in the microwave
I always put a paper towel over the food and it really works well .
Am glad your doing better you are lucky to have a family to look after you
It’s really fun to watch you and Summer together, you two crack me up! 😆😆❤️
Summer is so sweet and caring!
You did great! Wow! Hope you are feeling better.
Sorry you had to go through that honey. But you made it again with your wonderful spirit and Summer who is just the best (Cole too) ❤️
