Now come to the point. Why did the public love Sanu Da's voice not Amit Da? Sanu da mic lagake bataya nahin mujhe chuno Amit ko hatao. If u have talent, u will definitely be noticed among the crowd. Same thing happened with Sanu Da not Amit Kumar. Amit Da got lots of chance by his father, RD Barman but was not able to prove himself. Sanu ne bohot struggle karke aaj ek start hain. He didn't have a star father and famous people around him since his childhood.

As an ardent Kishorekumar fan and follower I must say that both Kumars have sung very well but atleast in this song Kumar Shanu has come out as more KISHORIAN than Amit Kumar.Shanu has shown his unparallel ability to churn out Kishorekumar magic more than anybody else in the world. After the Maestro left for eternal peace in 1987 it was not Amitkumar it was Kumar Shanu who held the Kishorekumar flag flying high and the whole of India welcomed Shanu as the flag bearer of KISHORE GHARANA.
This GHARANA Will continue to reign the Indian film music scenario 👌 for many many more years to come.

Sanu might have been quite popular once upon a time, but i think he has not been given due respect for what he has brought to world of music through his style of singing ... Kumar Sanu's voice was made to suit Saif Ali Khan while Amit Kumar's play back was done for Sunny Deol. AK' version is more romantic, macho, mature and soothing. KS's version was more popularized and promoted. Also, in those days cassettes were available. So AK's version was available only in the full version of the cassettes which means same film songs in both side A and side B. However, when the cassette was released with two different films in side A and Side B, AK's song was missed out from the list of songs from the film, Imtihaan. This politics made KS's version more popular. Nevertheless, Amit Kumar lived on with his own world of work.
