I may be wrong, I probably am wrong, but I think the reason footballers aren't allowed to bet, or one of the reasons anyway, is that they know what team is going to win The reason I say this is because I work at both United and City box and in the betting stand, they have a sheet with their predictions of who is going to win. Only its not a prediction, its the actual results. I was so shocked when I found out. I remember a couple of years ago I saw united losing to villa on the sheet and then it was 1-0 to villa with united having a penalty last minute and I said to everyone that he's going to miss it. I was so sure because of what I saw on that sheet, that even though betting is against my religion. Well gambling is, this wasn't a gamble if I knew what was going to happen, so I said I bet you my tip from what I make tonight, that Bruno or Ronaldo is missing this. Bruno took it and skied it. Plenty of more moments like this I've had. Like with draws as well. Ever since then, I have lost the love for the sport
I'll have whatever you're smoking please. You remember one moment and "claim" to remember "more moments", would love to know what your sample size actually is, I imagine it's nowhere near big enough to draw any accurate conclusions.
@@roberticle1 that Aston villa win was the most recent one I remember, off the top of my head. But I am completely fine with no one believing me, but while I work at both clubs, the colleagues that never believed me are the ones I showed the evidence to. You'll have what I'm smoking? That just implies you do smoke crack and don't know much, but I don't do drugs, never have and never will. But there's even been instances when my own box ask me to predict the score when they're making their bet and only when I get to see the sheet of paper with the result on it, do I tell them when I think the result will be. Not the score, the result. When it says city will lose, I tell them they will lose. They don't believe me and refuse to bet on it and then when I turn out to be right, they say we should have gone with you. I tell them, not everyone bets on their team though At United is where I get most of my bets right, because Man United lose or draw all the time. If it says they'll lose, I have to think of a realistic defeat scoreline to tell my box and half the time when I am right, I get a big tip. The easiest money I make is when it's a draw. Easy to pick 0-0 or 1-1 but I haven't been going much this season because I have a different much bigger and more important job which doesn't allow me to have enough time to go to these games anymore to work, but when I do, I usually make good tips. It said united would beat Liverpool recently, couldn't believe it but I predicted 3-2 if they were gunna win and it ended up being 4-3. You don't need to believe me and I couldn't care less. It makes no difference to me. What matters is the people I do know that know me, know its true, because I've proven it to them. Whether they're telling people about it too is up to them. But I've known about football being fixed for over a decade now and I've never taken the sport seriously since then. Don't celebrate when my team scores or wins, don't get upset or angry when my team concedes a goal or loses
Newcastle playing the long game. They had an opportunity to sign a current international Italian midfielder and took it. He's turned out to be no use to us this season, but he's on a 5-year contract. I understand the obvious issues with betting, but I think 10 months is enough, and I don't understand at all why Newcastle have to lose their £53m AND their player for 10 months when he (to date) is being punished for things he did as an AC Milan player. Don't forget that £53m means, under FFP/PSR/TTFN/PIN/etc. we can't buy a replacement despite having the money. Seems unfair all round.
People saying they feel no sympathy because he is a millionaire footy player is shocking in my opinion. Just because you have money doesn’t mean you can’t have an illness or addiction. He needs help not ridicule
Premier league clubs have all the money in the world and yet didn't have someone at the club who knew italian that could have enquired about this..
@craig3613 nope.
It was well known that players in Italy were betting..
Ahh, those "if only" questions. 1) Are you a gambling addict? 2) Do you like flying unregulated aircraft through storms at night?
Newcastle are hoping rather than knowing he won't get a extended ban!
It's weird that these players are playing on sky but can't use a sky sponsor. I'm not saying players shouldn't bet, but you do kinda put sky bet on a wall behind them and on their shirts if you could.
I would like to know where this information came from, because if it has been leaked from a bookies, he would be able to sue them right down to the CEO's underpants.
I had x2 gambling adverts before watching this video. The bookies themselves are as much to blame by rubbing peoples faces in it
So the player has done wrong for which he is paying the price for, but the FA and the Premier League are and always will be trying to prevent Newcastle United from becoming a team to challenge the big boys. Shame on the FA, the lad is paying his dues. Leave him alone.
Right, the FA and EPL are holding a gun to his head to force him to place bets on football just so they can suspend him and stuff Newcastle around. Just as well you're not a conspiracy theorist. New crime, more time.
Newcastle are properly in the mud in almost every metric , in mid table with no prospect of European football, injuries , playing sh*t football , a gambler in a bubble, Ashworth cant stand being at a mid club ,over spent, FFP/PSR issues and a manager about to be sacked !
So no player can make bets on other games? Thats stupid
Fa causing a media storm for a player half way through his recovery! Please someone tell me how it’s took them 5 months to announce this? Betting addict moves counties, if he just stopped he wouldn’t be betting addict.
Imagine being a Milionaire and having a need to gamble. Its just Greed.
It’s an addiction for some
Obviously it’s not about the money anymore, he is clearly addicted to it, he can’t help it, it controls him and his life, it’s a disease mate
Its the buzz of winning not the money
Narrow minded and simplistic view from a major intellect.
@@ian_r125 Starts with the buzz which can lead to addiction.
60 million down the drain, Tonali bets again. 🎉🎉🎉
It does matter if he placed bets for Newcastle to lose! I am sure the Toon army and the club would be interested who he was betting on.
Has there been any bets since that ban came into effect or since he’s been receiving help for gambling addiction?
No, these were bets when he first signed for Newcastle, before it all came out in Italy about his betting addiction
Footballers already have enough money. But i guess enough is never enough.
For a gambling addict it's not about the money. It's about the buzz they get from a win
Dude…. Come on bro.
Look at the ban pogba got, should be the same. Second time, make an example out of him!
It’s not a second time tho, it’s the same time frame just when he signed for Newcastle, before his addition all came to light. It’s bets he made the first two months at Newcastle before it all came out in Italy about his betting addiction at Milan
@@Charlton2010 I get it, you’re a Newcastle fan. Nobody would want their new signing serving a long ban BUT we can’t have players betting on games. That’s probably the most unethical thing a professional athlete can do.. regardless of addiction or not.. they HAVE to make an example of this guy!
Ivan Toney = 👹
Sandro Tonali = 😇
Bet I can guess why you think that 🤡
@@headshotE10 It takes a thief to catch a thief. Fellow 🤡 🤣🤣🤣
Ivan Toney is great, he refused to kneel for BLM
They were both punished, and rightfully so. Sandro for longer, but to put an extension on his punishment would be unreasonable. I don't see where your idiotic logic comes from?
@headbackshot1524 I have a tip. I know the reasoning 😉
Wait a min? Again 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
How do you bet while earning so much money in the first place ? Like bro has some mental problems. That’s crazy. Just ban indefinitely let him be an example for others.
"bro has some mental problems" maybe you should learn what addiction is
@@roberticle1 Addiction is a mental problem/issue, no?
@@kevinconway2965 yes, obviously, OC is saying it like it's some sort of revolution, and then proceeds to offer some terrible advice
u guys already makes so much money
Sandro Tonali to be done yet again by the FA for Betting.......yet Zaniolo gets away with everything!?!?! Pathetic, one of the many reasons I'm starting to hate the mens game
Zaniolo played poker. Tonali bet on football, big difference.
When you make so much money but you got to get that fix... maybe he should just bet on obscure sports and no one would care.
Again? Omg 😂
There's not really any "again." This is the period leading up to his initial FIFA ban. It's just what took place when he moved from Italy to England before he got in trouble the first time.
It’s a long time with no football what the hell I thought he told on himself if that’s 2 separate charges from handing himself in 1 time that’s not just.Because u can’t get punished for same thing twice by law. So how do F.A sanction that fair enough if he handed himself in then did it again but not for the same offence because it occurred when at Newcastle because that’s not right. Need the full story on it tbh can’t double whammy someone on betting. So if he was on Holliday n did it say America then what it’s another charge for that. Also even though he’s seeked the help n actually stopped doing it since.
"Moving on. Now the latest from The Sky Bet Championship. At the bet365 Stadium it's Stoke City vs......"
LMAO Kylo Ren just can't stop swinging
Another great Serie A scam.
Not milans fault Newcastle didn't do due diligence.
He’s Newcastle’s problem now. It’s not our fault that he placed these illegal bets behind closed doors and there’s been no evidence that shows Milan knew about his gambling situation. Stop lying and deal with it.
@anthonylafleur6549 milan knew about it however Newcastle should have done their research.
Its crazy to me that betting seems fun when you earn so much money, you've already won!
The EPL should ban sponsorships from betting companies. Gambling should be banned for all players. If players are caught gambling through associates, then they should face lengthy bans. If they are caught a 2nd time the player In question should be permanently banned from the football league. The FA and the EPL are extremely hypocritical when it comes to gambling. Football fans and anyone else who thinks gambling is harmless are completely delusional. Gambling, legal or otherwise destroys people’s lives.
The guy needs help, ❤️ Not nail’s in his coffin ⚰️ 🤦🏻 ffs😢
Life time ban is the only option
Sounds like an addict that deserves a lifetime ban. Imagine taking any game he plays in the future seriously.
Why can't he bet on other games that he isn't involved in
Cos he has access to insider knowledge
incase he rigs it somehow
His current ban was reduced due to conditions set,,,if these new charges are in breach of the conditions of his current ban reduction then I will expect it to be reinstated meaning most of next season out also. Not impressed
No because he did these bets before it all came out in Italy but was only charged for his ones in Italy until the FA have picked up on the bets he made whilst just signed for Newcastle over the first two month here
@@Charlton2010 I very much hope this is the case, all the best to you.
@@davidhughes4489 thank you all the best to you too, yeah it’s the last thing we need isn’t it
What he does in his own time aslong as he aint playin bad or good on purpose what does it matter what he does
Tonali just retire football and start betting it’s very simple 👌👌😂😂😂😂
Even has an ex footballer you can't.
He could really make more money
@@Micfri300 really i didn't know that good to know now thats jacked up
It shouldn’t be something to joke about. It’s an addiction- a mental health issue.
The FA Refs Do It Also
He's clearly unrepentant gambler
Jokes aside he needs help
Youve all been brainwashed in to thinking him and Toney are victims 😂
Guess we'll never truly know, but gambling addiction is definitely a real thing
you would think he would just get someone else to place the bets for him pmsl. hes not a very bright spark is he lol
Trippier
Toney
Tonali
😂😅😂
Keep an eye on the betting habits of any premier league footballer with a surname starting T 💀😵💀
Wasn’t he charged already? No way he placed more bets while being suspended? 😂
Did you not watch the video?
I think before the season started 😂😂
No, pay attention
Silly guy, he secretly knew the suspension was coming from his time in Italy and then does the same thing in England 🥴🤣
I don’t have one bit of sorrow for the lad, throw the book at him!
@@CJ-ih4oh I just started the vid and wrote that comment lol
Hes been betting whilst already being suspended 😂😂😂
Nope. Basic listening skills to the same video clip you're commenting on would have prevented your embarrassment. You have time to think and listen before you type. I suggest you use it
@@Chez114nope.
Tonali knew what he was doing was going to get him in trouble and still did it again for Newcastle.
This isn’t a new charge, he admitted this when he first got caught, it just so happens the FA have been back logged and only just done his case now, this is NOT a new case. He won’t get extended ban or anything, it just runs concurrently with his ban he already had.
Definition of greed?
No wonder AC Milan sold him. I was wondering why.
We needed to upgrade our attack and selling Tonali was how we were going to do it and we used the money from his sale for that reason.
May be Newcastle is not paying tonali well🤣🤣🤣 the guy is always in betting scandals 😂😂😂
I bet he gets another ban. Tonali is the counterparty to my bet.
☹
He should've bet but with someone else accout lol😅
I may be wrong, I probably am wrong, but I think the reason footballers aren't allowed to bet, or one of the reasons anyway, is that they know what team is going to win
The reason I say this is because I work at both United and City box and in the betting stand, they have a sheet with their predictions of who is going to win.
I tell them, not everyone bets on their team though
At United is where I get most of my bets right, because Man United lose or draw all the time.
It's Now looking like THE TOON TOOK THE BIGGEST GAMBLE 😢
Newcastle playing the long game. They had an opportunity to sign a current international Italian midfielder and took it. He's turned out to be no use to us this season, but he's on a 5-year contract. We're still going to have a top player for 4 years that we might not have been able to sign at all but for the gambling issue.
They should terminate his contract...
Waste of space as a player. £55m down the drain
Again hahahahahaha 🤣
