Hey guys! Today we are giving Stitch Fix another try and though I think you could find these items on your own for likely cheaper I do think unboxing these are fun! However remembering to open them and send them back in time is hard for me as you can see lol But thankfully, even though I was supposed to send these back a week ago, the website did actually let me choose to return them! So I guess that is just more of a guideline and not a hard fast rule, but it was almost a costly mistake!
Mules are great with long loose pants or skirts. They are a 90s return. They fit 90s style line. As an old lady in-between Gen X and Millenial, I'm just chuckling at teens wearing the same bulky bag clothes we wore when I was their age. Someone be a dear and hand granny her cane.
I totally understand having a personal comfort zone when it comes to clothes, but I just wanted to say that you look absolutely fantastic in everything you tried on!!!
I completely agree with this! This also made me realise how distorted our own body views can be, as any part she thinks looks unflattering, didn’t look unflattering to me in the slightest, I think everything was actually incredibly flattering on her! Like it all suited her body so so well!
I personally don’t care if skinny jeans aren’t in fashion anymore, they’re the only pants I look okay in. I say you do you if you’re happy with them ❤️
Same! Couldn’t care less. With jeans especially I feel like a there’ll always be a style that’s in fashion but they’re all okay to wear always because you really need to find whatever style you’re comfortable in. I mean, that’s true for all clothes but jeans especially.
I am 💯 percent with this. I hated skinny jeans mom jeans or more boot cut have always been my jam. I told my kiddo try different jeans and see what works for you.
Exactly this. I love combat style jeans, straight or bootleg, and as they're 'not in fashion' the only place I can find them is menswear stores. And you know what? That's actually GREAT because menswear measures clothing in inches instead of a vague number that's different in every store :D
The jeans can be tucked into knee high boots, so that solves the issue with the legs being "baggy". The black top with the white polka-dot print can be worn with a plain black, spaghetti strap tank to hide the back opening, or find a lacey black tank to wear under it. The little puff at the shoulder of that top is hardly noticeable and it was pretty flattering on you as it gave you an hourglass shape. Take the mock neck sweater to a seamstress and ask to have the front of the neck cut open. You can also have it taken in so it's more fitted to your waist and feels better to you. Honestly, it's a flattering color on you and the little bit extra to have the neck and sides modified will make it more of an investment piece. The shoes, I get where you're coming from with the pointy toe thing, as I don't like wearing them either, but they do look nice on you! But if they aren't mentally comfortable, you won't wear them, so sell them. Those are my suggestions on how to "fix" a monetary mess up that you can't return. Good luck with your decision on what to do💞
Alternatively, instead of getting the neck opened, get it altered into the cardigan you desired. And another styling option a high waisted skirt, like a pencil skirt, that comes up pretty far would cover the lower back opening on the polka-dot shirt.
If you find the center fron on the sweater and stitch to either side with a good tight stitch, you can cut between and the sweater won't unravel. It allows you to then turn under the cut ends and hem without ending up with a ball of yarn.
These suggestions are great, but this sounds like a lot work and/or money for clothing that’s already expensive. Why do all this when she can just pick out her own clothes and find something that fits they way she wants it to?
@@inventedcool1076 She said she believes she missed the window to return these items, so people have simply been offering suggestions to hopefully make the pieces work for her if she ends up stuck with them.
The black top is so cute. The deep V detracts from any effect the pouf sleeves may have on your shoulders (i didn’t notice any particular wideness). I think it’s actually pretty balanced. I can understand being self-conscious about the back. But with a cardigan or something, problem solved! For the jeans, add a black bootie and any “shortness” issue you see should be alleviated.
But with the jeans I understand where she's coming from about not liking the looseness. I'm the same way, and thus I'm still gonna wear tighter fitting jeans, who cares about the trends
@@notaperson6646 i think it's just silly, goofy internet things. I love my skinny jeans and wear them depending on what look i'm going for, but man.... looser fitting jeans are SO comfortable lol.
@@notaperson6646 im 23 and i just. My Legs are too fcking tiny for anything wider than boot cut. Which is the only one i wear aside Frome skinny. Skinny sized UP fits me sooo mch better bc idk if U are short or not. But Petite things DONT fit right. Ever. And at my height the new in style jelans make me look boxy. Bc Unless U are skinny skinny. Like size 2 skinny. And short. Anything that is loose fitting is just too much i jst don't go by trends.
i've used stitch fix for years and they're definitely pretty lenient on that three day window lmao. i was really good about sending my returns back on time when i first started using them but it's gotten closer to 4 or 5 days when i get my box nowadays. one time i sent back my items probably a couple of days? late (whoops lol), but there was an additional issue where i think the usps tracking didn't go through to them, so they didn't know i had sent it back. i get a couple of emails warning me that i'll be charged if i don't send the items back. they will warn you before charging you! i just had to send them an email stating i had sent my items back the day after i'd done my checkout, they checked on their end (i'm assuming the emails were mostly automated until i contested it and they actually checked their returns), and i got a "we good" email back from them. no extra charges. additionally i just want to defend stitch fix a little bit lol. i don't particularly hate shopping in stores, but it's definitely not something that i enjoy. being able to try stuff on at home with other clothes i already own, get a second opinion from my mom, get fashionably trendy stuff in styles i like, all that is worth it for me. the items aren't "random" they conform to a style profile and you can even link a pinterest or something to better give your stylist an idea of what you like. you can leave a note for specific items or patterns you're looking for. the more specific you are about your needs, the better they are about sending stuff you'll probably like. i once said i needed something for a wedding and my next box had five cocktail dresses. and it's great for people who want to try different styles and items they might not realize they like. i got a denim jacket from them once and i thought "pfft like i'm gonna wear a denim jacket" but i tried it on and loved it. i never would have tried it on at a store. i have had to recently slow down my boxes to every three months because i just hardly ever go out anymore (who does? lmao) but i still love them as a service. i think it would be an interesting video idea if you created a style profile completely different from your usual style and see how well they matched it. like ipsy showdwon but with clothes!
I appreciate your comment I've only tired it once and even tho i still have credit with them, my 1st box was so far off my style I've been afraid to even try it again but it's been long enough I probably should. I just felt like they looked at my age and sent me old lady clothes even tho i added my Pinterest page and everything I could. 🙃 I've been trying to wait them out hoping they'd get my style better?
@@kcsopinionsterriblevideoskill yeah my first box was definitely not the best lol. they do have a feature now where you can actually see a pool of items they're planning to choose for you and can pick which ones you actually want to try. they'll do multiple options of the same piece in different colors too so you can pick that as well. you don't have to pick all five but it's been nice!
You did an excellent job of explaining the benefits. I've never used a company like that because I either wear scrubs (work) or sweatpants. I rarely go out to places anymore. Maybe I'll give them a try. :🙂
@@madeezyfosheezy I have heard others talking about that option but haven't seen it when I'm on their website but maybe it only shows up after I schedule the fix. The other thing I want to figure out is having them send me something I choose but having it sent at the same time as they send the other 5 items I just don't find their website easy to understand 🙃
Actually doing the pin boards didn't work at all for me. My 2nd box was worse than my first one.I was told in an email that even tho I used all the like dislike quizzes, commented what I like on the pin boards that stylists may not have access to those items so they pick whatever else out. Ok but if I like a flannel shirt, but they don't have that exact flannel wouldn't you try send a flannel that's similar to the client? I also had no shorts in preferences and no white. They sent me a skort, now if someone doesn't like to wear shorts, why would you think your customer would want to wear them when they are connected to a skirt?! I emailed them and asked why This was even sent to me, and was told they've highlighted that I don't want shorts and added skorts to my preferences list..... I told them I want to know why it was even sent due to my profile and if they asked the stylist why she sent it and was told "I have not asked the stylist, as that's not something we would typically do in these situations" This tells me there is no communication between customer service and the stylists and the company actually doesn't care if you get items you will like use or wear, nor do they care to help you to actually communicate with the stylists so they can send you a box where you do keep all the items.
If you have Burlington Coat Factory (similar to home goods and the like but for clothes) near you, I think it could be fun to recreate your boxes and size down as needed 💜
I honestly blame Alexandria for my newfound love of old people cardigans...I bought my first one yesterday and I'm honestly in love with it! It's so comfy and warm (but not overly warm) and is so practical...where has this been all my life?
I have pretty severe body dysmorphia, so when you shared your sizes and you looked so great in the outfits (even if they weren't to your personal taste, totally understand) it really gave me a boost, so thank you for sharing!
No, no, no and no. I just don’t trust anyone to dress me because I am so picky. I remember ALMOST trying Stitch-Fix once and then getting anxiety when I read the instructions/directions/dealio. I just couldn’t do it, but I’ve heard really good things from others about the clothing. I bought my daughter a box every few months from a place like that for kids and it was great! Expensive, but great clothes and we kept most of the items.
They are distructions. Directions and instructions as one word. I don't know why I always thought I was clever when I was a kid and called them distructions
I feel like Pinque is actually pronounced like Pink and if it isn’t it should be. Ha ha Also, I think all the pieces look great on you. I feel the boot would look better with a pant so it doesn’t cut off your leg visually.
As someone who wears a size 9-10 in shoes, the last thing I need is shoes that make my feet look longer. That said, I think if those mules had been booties they would have been so much cuter!
The fact that you only have a tiny window to return them makes it sound like such a scam. There are a million reasons why you might not be able to return them on time outside of just not getting around to opening it.
I wrote the customer service and asked if I could still return my items and they said yes after I was charged and they refunded me. Twice. 🥴😆 They are pretty good about it if you write them in my experience.
I think the short return window is so you can’t go on vacation with your new outfits and return when you get back… my neighbour worked at a Amazon: story time… someone a actually refolded peed in diapers to make them look like they never came out of the box and returned them as “ doesn’t fit” asking for refund… ALL of the diapers were used… people do weird things.
You can definitely expand the window. I would get mine, and then immediately extend my checkout date by at least a week from the original one, because I knew I would forget if I didn't extend it immediately. But I never got charged full price even if I forgot to extend until the final day. And they send you an email daily from when it ships out, each day until it gets to you, and daily for a week until it's due to be returned. And those emails have a little button that says "need more time? Extend your checkout here" that takes you to the website to extend your checkout by at least a week.
STILL THINK ALEX WOULD ROCK THE BROOM OVER THE MOON COSPLAYING AS MARNIE CROMWELL FROM HALLOWEENTOWN! 💜💚💜💚👻🍊💚💜💚💜 Our Disney Channel Original Movie ICONIC spoopy vibes! Alexandria! You are the perfect Marnie!
The problem with this subscription or online clothes shopping in general is, I have good intentions of returning the clothes that don’t fit or work out when I click on check out but then never actually return them. I’m a “maybe it will fit later” or “maybe I learn to like it” kind of person.
I'm sure this is at least partially what they hope for to make more profit! I know folk have said they are ok with late returns but I'm sure some people forget to return them at all. Plus, in terms of people who do remember to do it, no one who actually returns ever gets the discount (and I'm sure they skew it by trying to send at least one item that won't fit/isn't as great of a style match).
You may already know of these, but there are Facebook groups specifically for buying/selling items received in Stitch Fix boxes. So that's another option for selling these. Just a thought(:
You can use the orange sweater to dress up like Velma though, you'd look great in a costume like that! And you did look cute in everything but it's more important to feel comfortable in your clothes!
It's interesting to see how this kind of works on some of the psychological levels. The "limit" / "guideline" on returning things soon. The fact that just looking at the items without trying them on was so positive, and the styling fee discount / discount for purchasing everything all kind of play together to get you to buy everything.
I know it’s all about personal comfort and how confident you feel in the clothes, but everything you got you look amazing in!! I think you rock all the clothes and look gorgeous in all the clothes x
I know we all have our insecurities and see ourselves a certain way, or have an ideal way we want to look, but i think polka dot shirt and pants looked REALLY good on you. it was a cute outfit on you!
I loved the skirt, but you’re right about the other items! They just looked very uncomfortable I also agree that this type of subscription is just weird (unless you live in a place where there aren’t stores). It just seems like a not cost effective way to clothing shop. So much back and forth- and the odds of something being the right color, material, fit, and style are pretty low!
I actually really like the shoes, I too am never sure of pointed shoes but does elongate the body. I used to watch this show on tlc what not to wear all the time
I've heard of people using it for office wear stuff, so they just didn't have to choose/look for it, that's like the only way this feels useful, if you need a style of clothes but don't wanna search for stuff, I like shopping so it doesn't really seem that useful for getting clothes I want
We call it 'Brainfog Tax' in the ME/CFS community. It's the same with utilities who keep raising their prices but we don't have the energy to deal with having to go through the process of moving to a new supplier. It's as if they deliberately take advantage of the ill, disabled and neurodivergent or something. 😉
When I turned 40 and was supposed to cut my hair short I didn't. At 45 I really started to not care what I was supposed to do or wear. At 50 I have run out of f's and wear what clothes and makeup I like and feel comfortable wearing. And my hair is down to my butt! But that's because of the times we are living in. I'm going to trim it myself as I have done in the past. It will still be long and I earned my grey hair the hard way so I'll rock that too. Lol I thought the outfits were cute on you. But if you're not comfortable then I wouldn't wear them either. Hope you are having a great evening!
Stitch Fix has excellent customer service! I purchased a sweater from them and after one wash, there was a huge hole in the armpit, the stitching had completely unraveled. They sent me a brand new one, no questions asked.
You are completely valid in your view of your body and the way you want to dress it. We all notice things about ourselves that make us self conscious that others would never see or think. We see others as having great-looking bodies because they have features opposite our own, and we aren’t living daily in them seeing the challenges they pose. For what it’s worth though, I would absolutely love to be your size or have your figure!
Just a suggestion: The top that you love you could use over a spaghetti strap dress for a fall/winter look. The dress would cover anything you don’t want showing and the top will freshen up an outfit for a new season. 💗
I know its out of your comfort zone. We all have our gripes when it comes to new things but girl, you look soooo good in both outfits. If you still feel uncomfortable with the black top, wear a scoop neck thin black camsole underneath, that way you dont show any skin. Also the pull over sweater with the jeans/ and or skirt with black biker boots, would look really cute.
You should try the stuff on with stuff from your closet. It all looked great! Try the shoes with pants. The great thing about getting a box is you can try it at home and mix and match with stuff you already own. Make sure you send your stylist a note and tell her EXACTLY what you like and dislike. Otherwise they can't style you properly. I love my boxes. I have kept all five from my last 3 boxes. I also Love Fashom. I always send my items I don't want back the same day. I try them on and put it right back in my mailbox.
I recently discovered Stitch Fix and I really like them. I am plus sized and fashion challenged. They are helping me to revamp my wardrobe. Super pleased so far,
It's sad what the world has done to where we are constantly pointing out our flaws and things we don't like about ourselves. Because of What we see and what the world makes us think is "beautiful". You are beautiful and hate to see you point out so many things you think are wrong with you. So many woman would love to look like you. I just wish we could all embrace what God gave us! You looked great in everything!!!
Hi Alexandria! Love your videos! Stitch Fix is super customer service oriented so if you reach out to them, they will probably let you return the items you didn’t like even if it’s past the return window. Also, be sure to make notes for your stylist when you check out so they know exactly what you didn’t like. And, you can also note that you love cardigans. Lol! They are usually pretty good about paying attention to the feedback and take it into consideration when styling you again. Hope this helps! 😀
Ngl, the second you brought out the shoes, I went into 'shoe sales woman' mode. I haven't even been working in that store in over a year. Btw, having your feet at slightly different sizes is completely normal, along with having different sizes from different shoes. The store I worked at only sells their own brand, and your size will still vary depending on the style and cut.
I'm not usually a pointy toed shoe kinda girl either (I'm 5'4 and wear a size 8 1/2 or 9, so I don't need anything to make my feet look bigger!) but I have found that shoes like that look really good with wide leg trousers. Probably not something you wear super often, but they're kinda nice to have🤷♀️
Okay so like, personally, if you like the fit of the upper part of the jeans but not how they fit through your lower legs, I would take them to a tailor and get them fitted. It'd be a little bit extra time and money, but then you don't feel as bad about the upfront cost of that box. Also, you might be able to get the neck of the sweater fixed so it doesn't choke you out - they could probably take that whole ring of ridged material out and give you another inch, inch-and-a-half of room. I have a similar issue with things touching my neck, so I get it.
you do NOT have to keep everything! My mom always forgets, sometimes for two months, and she just emails customer service and they let her return them. she is just very forgetful lol. also we like the service because me and my mom are both at making outfits so it helps a lot
I'm super petite, small small. Extra small and doing this type of shopping or online is a big no no for me because the fit might not be right and the clothes may look like an oversized curtain. Prefer to go in person lol.
Hi Alexandria, I just want to say that you looked great in everything you tried on. I know a lot of us are harsher on ourselves than what others may think or see. I understand you weren't comfortable and how you feel in items also has a lot to do with how you think you look. I'm glad you were able to send everything back because everything is a bit pricey. I would like to see you recreate this box, as close as possible, but with items you actually like and will wear. I enjoyed your home decor recreating video and think this would also be a fun video. Thanks
I would love to see a stitch fix vs thred up. Basically, get your stitch fix box and see if you can duplicate it by shopping on thred up. I bet you could do it and save a TON of money!
If you have a tailor, see if they can crop the sweater and change the neck line! That color looks great on you, just needs a little modification I do also really like the top. As someone else said, the deep V makes the shoulders not noticeable. You could also wear a cami under it!
That black top is SUPER cute! Love how the shoulder puff makes your waist look so small! I think you looked good in everything, but that one I’d like for myself!
Oh nooooo.... I've gotten really close to doing that, to forgetting to send stuff back. When I've used the app, I have been able to extend out the return date, up to 2 times I think. As a plus size person, I enjoy doing Stitch Fix because sometimes, there is nothing is store/only a small selection and having it sent TO ME eased a lot of shopping anxiety but yeah the prices are very inflated to cover the cost of the stylist and having it sent directly to you. I have never kept a full box from them but I have gotten WONDERFUL cardigans and they were worth it. Also, with ya on the pointy toed shoes. I have large feet (10.5-11) and they're wide so pointy toed shoes, unless wide width, get a no from me.
I enjoy getting a fix every now and then because it’s a fun way to treat myself (I usually only keep 1 item per fix) and I like being able to try the item on with other things I own, and actually create outfits with them. Sometimes in store shopping I think I have the perfect thing to wear with an item and I get it home and it was a fail
I have sent mine literally weeks later back to them and still got the refund. Also I feel like we need to meet Jimmy. I am more than willing to do the reach out. LOL.
You look insanely cute in all of these. I thought the first outfit was one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen you in, bummer that you didn’t feel comfortable in the sweater! The polka dot top was also super flattering on you. Regarding the jeans, they could probably be pretty easily altered/taken in in the leg to make them more comfortable for you.
I have a burgundy cashmere old man cardigan from a French designer. Someone gave it to me. You'd probably love it. I found a matching cashmere snuggly scarf /wrap dirt cheap, too. So much warmness. I'm not sure warmness is a word.
I actually liked the jeans, brown sweater and the shoes. I didn't like the sweater and skirt together but I thought the sweater would go with denim jeans for a cozy look. I liked the look of the shoes but they looked like they might be a challenge for fit. I didn't care for the skirt or the bow in the back top.
You look good in everything tried on. We are our on worst critics. We see flaws no one else sees. The pants are cute until they cut the bottom off. You could hem them. The shoes would look better with pants. The black top with dot, wear with a cardigan. I do agree with the sweater. Love the video.
You can always extend your payment,I've put mine off for 3 weeks...🙄 When you receive your box just go on the app click check out and you will see a link to extend your payment. It's also goes toward how long you have to send your unwanted items back. I always look at what my stylists has picked out for me before I they send it. If you don't like what they picked you can change it and they will pick out something else for you. Just wanted you to know you have choices and time to make your decisions on what you want or don't The items are expensive especially the jeans and shoes..
Ok cutie patutie, some ideas..... turn the pants into shorts; use the extra fabric from the pants to cover a regular button an saw it into the other short you have were you lost button (unless they are a different color.) The bow shirt looks really good on you, your back looks fine too ( don't be so critical of yourself.) The sweater you can distress, if the mock turtle neck was added on, cut it off. Look for a seam at the neck line, otherwise you will have to create a seam. also look up diy ideas on how to turn a sweater into a cardigan. Good luck hun
give the customer service number a call even though they already charged you, you might be able to still return some of the items. they are usually pretty good about mistakes. The other thing you can consider is joining a buy, sell share group on social media to see if you can get some of the money back.
Three days is a ridiculous amount of time to get your box, try on and decide if you want the stuff, box up what you don’t and get it back to the post office, it should be at least 7 days. I’m glad they let you return the stuff.
A 3 day turn around is crazy. Ixm with you on the mock turtle neck (and turtle necks or high necks in general), ever since I started with thyroid problems I've not been able to wear them, the pressure feels like being choked. I liked the shirt (i would have worn it back in my skinny days) and if the pullover was a different colour I might have liked that. I think if the jeans had been long legnth and straight leg or that ankle-grazer length but skinny leg they would have worked, but both straight leg and ankle-grazer didn't look your style.
Seriously, I dont care if high waist skinny jeans get outta style. I will wear them til I'm 87. I lived through the 90's (with the plateau Buffalos who weighed a ton and the crop tops) and survived the 2000's with the super low rise jeans where you almost could see the buttcrack with the Calvin Klein knickers). When the high waist skinny stretchy jeans came out I was like hallelujah and thank you God for making leggings 🥳🥳
Awww… I thought everything looked fantastic on you! And that’s 100% honesty, not just trying to be sweet. If I have jeans that hit at an awkward length I’ll roll up the bottoms one or two times to give them a little cuff. I think those black pants would look great like that! Also, with the black polka dots top, you could always wear a cami under it to cover your back. Even better if you could find one that is lacy! And I loved those boots on you! They would look amazing with a pair of skinny jeans and that orange colored sweater! So cute!!
I think the black shirt with white polka dots looked really good on you. If you are nervous about the back you can wear a black or white cami underneath
I think you look great in the jeans and the black top is totally doable with a little cami underneath. The neckline is very classy and balances the shoulders, and the pattern is cute!
I loved the sweater and skirt on you! You could have the orange sweater tailored so that it fits the way you want it to! Maybe so that it has a scoop neck and crop the sweater a bit (or continue to tuck it like you were doing).
I think you looked great but I totally understand what you are saying, if you don’t feel it then it’s not for you. I’m also trying the straight leg and mom jeans and I feel like they are so unflattering and make me look shorter than I already but I really like some of the 90’s fit jeans because I was a 90’s teen. I the hope you can regift them or sell them.
I totally understand feeling self conscious about certain areas but that black top looks amazing on you! Literally every piece looks sooooo dang good on you!
They will take items back if mailed late. So mail it back. The sweaters, shoes. Actually the jeans would be cute with knee high boots. Wear a black tank under the black sweater.
yea you're not the only one with foot probs i can wear a 8-11 in shoes cuz i have wide feet and finding wide shoes just sometimes doesn't happen so sometimes i have to go up a size just so they actually fit my foot if it's sneakers i can get away with an 8 most times unless their nikes which never ever fit my foot whether their wide or not they're just too thin for me, but any other brand i'm fine with, sketchers are actually the best they fit just fine, and they're actually pretty comfortable, not very affordable but definitely work on my foot more often than not, i love boots too so those look great!
If you are stuck with the jeans, you can have them tapered by a local seamstress. Those with a pair of black ballerina flats would look so Audrey Hepburn cute!
life hacks: buy your jeans from walmart. the name of the ones i always get is “no boundaries juniors’ high rise skinny jeans”. they’re only $10 a pair and they last YEARS. i wear them every day to work. the only time i’ve had to buy a new pair was bc i gained weight and went up a couple sizes 🤷 but they still looked fantastic when i stopped wearing them
Three days to try on, make a decision and return unwanted clothes is such a short window. Using myself as an example, I work 11 hour shifts at an emergency department, 4 on 4 off. If I received one of these boxes on day 1 of my work week there is no way in hell I’ll have the energy to even think of trying them on as I barely have the energy to shower after a shift. My days off are a different story, I could definitely do it but I have the worst luck and I can guarantee the delivery would always fall on my work block. If this company really cares about their consumers satisfaction, they should definitely increase the try on and decide timeframe to a week.
The three days is really tight, but when you get a box you can go on the app and “request” more time to decide/return items. I did that pretty much every time I got a box.

You should try to recreate the box with items from TJ Maxx! 😉

With the dotted shirt and black jeans, you had this total dance mom’s look going, especially with the ankle length.
You should do a stitch fix tjmax see if you can find items closed to it that you love for a better deal
You should recreate the box at your local TJMAXX. That way you could find clothes you actually like. Plus it would likely be so much cheaper!
I totally understand having a personal comfort zone when it comes to clothes, but I just wanted to say that you look absolutely fantastic in everything you tried on!!!
I was coming to say the same thing!! She looks amazing in every pc!! 💯😍
She really does!
I completely agree with this! This also made me realise how distorted our own body views can be, as any part she thinks looks unflattering, didn’t look unflattering to me in the slightest, I think everything was actually incredibly flattering on her! Like it all suited her body so so well!

I am a product of the emo scene days. Skinny jeans for life.
I'm 5ft and flare leg jeans make me look even shorter than usual. They can pry the skinny jeans out of my cold dead former emo kid hands.
Good luck with your decision on what to do💞
All excellent suggestions!
I was wondering if she could wear the black shirt backwards, tie in the front. I don't follow fashion trends myself. I wear and do what I want lol.
I was thinking of wearing a little stretchy black cami under the top, so it covers the hole in the back
Skinny jeans will never go out of style if we don’t let it happen ladies hold the line!!!
I don’t understand that whole things about them going out of style I’m 22 I’m going to keep wearing them as I don’t like my thighs rubbing together
@@notaperson6646 i think it's just silly, goofy internet things. I love my skinny jeans and wear them depending on what look i'm going for, but man.... looser fitting jeans are SO comfortable lol.
idk I’m ready for them to go
Eh. I don’t like skinny jeans. But you should wear what you like regardless of trends
And short. Anything that is loose fitting is just too much
i jst don't go by trends.
i've used stitch fix for years and they're definitely pretty lenient on that three day window lmao. i was really good about sending my returns back on time when i first started using them but it's gotten closer to 4 or 5 days when i get my box nowadays. one time i sent back my items probably a couple of days? late (whoops lol), but there was an additional issue where i think the usps tracking didn't go through to them, so they didn't know i had sent it back. i get a couple of emails warning me that i'll be charged if i don't send the items back. they will warn you before charging you! i just had to send them an email stating i had sent my items back the day after i'd done my checkout, they checked on their end (i'm assuming the emails were mostly automated until i contested it and they actually checked their returns), and i got a "we good" email back from them. no extra charges.
additionally i just want to defend stitch fix a little bit lol. i don't particularly hate shopping in stores, but it's definitely not something that i enjoy. being able to try stuff on at home with other clothes i already own, get a second opinion from my mom, get fashionably trendy stuff in styles i like, all that is worth it for me. the items aren't "random" they conform to a style profile and you can even link a pinterest or something to better give your stylist an idea of what you like. you can leave a note for specific items or patterns you're looking for. the more specific you are about your needs, the better they are about sending stuff you'll probably like. i once said i needed something for a wedding and my next box had five cocktail dresses. and it's great for people who want to try different styles and items they might not realize they like. i got a denim jacket from them once and i thought "pfft like i'm gonna wear a denim jacket" but i tried it on and loved it. i never would have tried it on at a store. i have had to recently slow down my boxes to every three months because i just hardly ever go out anymore (who does? lmao) but i still love them as a service.
i think it would be an interesting video idea if you created a style profile completely different from your usual style and see how well they matched it. like ipsy showdwon but with clothes!
I told them I want to know why it was even sent due to my profile and if they asked the stylist why she sent it and was told "I have not asked the stylist, as that's not something we would typically do in these situations"
This tells me there is no communication between customer service and the stylists and the company actually doesn't care if you get items you will like use or wear, nor do they care to help you to actually communicate with the stylists so they can send you a box where you do keep all the items.
If you email them you can get your return period extended! I’ve had to do that twice due to illness and they were super understanding!
Definitely like the idea of taking 172 and trying to recreate at like tj Maxx, Ross, etc. The general idea was there just style tweeks!
If you have Burlington Coat Factory (similar to home goods and the like but for clothes) near you, I think it could be fun to recreate your boxes and size down as needed 💜
Literally that’s totally what sitch fix is someone shopping in Burlington coat factory hahaha
Yes!
This! Yes please, excellent idea!
yes, amazing suggestion!! i loved the home goods recreation!
My friend works for them and we discovered many of the brands carried at Marshals and TJMaxx are favorites of Stitch Fix
i know you don’t like the feel of the jeans but they look AMAZING on you and now i want to buy them :’)
I thought the same thing, they looked awesome. I thought it made her look taller with longer legs not short at all
I agree!
I honestly blame Alexandria for my newfound love of old people cardigans...I bought my first one yesterday and I'm honestly in love with it! It's so comfy and warm (but not overly warm) and is so practical...where has this been all my life?
Does if have pockets? I can't believe I ever settled for pocket-less cardigans.
Us old people have been hoarding the old people cardigans.
@@LynneGirl26 YES!! I even went back and got another in a different color because they are so cozy
If I paid a stylist and they sent me a shirt that exposed my back fat I would feel personally attacked.
🤣 🤣
I have pretty severe body dysmorphia, so when you shared your sizes and you looked so great in the outfits (even if they weren't to your personal taste, totally understand) it really gave me a boost, so thank you for sharing!
No, no, no and no. I just don’t trust anyone to dress me because I am so picky. I remember ALMOST trying Stitch-Fix once and then getting anxiety when I read the instructions/directions/dealio. I just couldn’t do it, but I’ve heard really good things from others about the clothing.
I bought my daughter a box every few months from a place like that for kids and it was great! Expensive, but great clothes and we kept most of the items.
i’m not picky but i don’t trust stitch fix. i’ve never heard of anyone liking more than an item or two from a stitch fix box
They are distructions. Directions and instructions as one word.
I don't know why I always thought I was clever when I was a kid and called them distructions
I feel like Pinque is actually pronounced like Pink and if it isn’t it should be. Ha ha
Also, I think all the pieces look great on you. I feel the boot would look better with a pant so it doesn’t cut off your leg visually.
I was just going to say that. I feel it every time the brand comes up.
Bootcut jeans would work so nice with the mules. Guess that ain't happening tho.
As someone who wears a size 9-10 in shoes, the last thing I need is shoes that make my feet look longer. That said, I think if those mules had been booties they would have been so much cuter!
I'm a 9-10 as well, so I feel your pain! Lol 😂
I wish I wore a 9-10. Unfortunately, I currently wear a size 13-14 because of rheumatoid arthritis. Lol.
The fact that you only have a tiny window to return them makes it sound like such a scam. There are a million reasons why you might not be able to return them on time outside of just not getting around to opening it.
I wrote the customer service and asked if I could still return my items and they said yes after I was charged and they refunded me. Twice. 🥴😆 They are pretty good about it if you write them in my experience.
i've used them for years and i hardly ever get my returns back in that three day window and i've never been charged extra.
@@sweetpea9347 good point, and ew! People definitely do weird things.
Extend your checkout here" that takes you to the website to extend your checkout by at least a week.
now we need a video of you trying on different style of jeans! boyfriend jeans, mom jeans, straight, flare, boot cut, wide leg!

YEEESSSS!!!!!
I totally get the mock/turtle neck thing, I’ve hated wearing them ever since I was a kid.
I thought that polka dot shirt was made for her, so cute!
I think you look adorable in all the things.
You need some more self confidence girl friend. 💕
Completely agree!!!
She does. But i get why everything she's saying bothers her bc im the same way
I agree!
Don’t we all? Lol 😂 i so relate
I loved the skirt, but you’re right about the other items! They just looked very uncomfortable
I also agree that this type of subscription is just weird (unless you live in a place where there aren’t stores).
Your whoopsie is what we in the ADHD community like to call “adhd tax” being charged for things bc we forgot to return them among other things
Oh she for sure has undiagnosed adhd lmao
@@chaoticinflation5766 let's not go round diagnosing people aye? Yikes
LOL - I'm sure that's part of their business model. A week isn't much time to give people to try on and return things.
@@GothBoyUK yes EXACTLY!!
Lol
I thought the outfits were cute on you. But if you're not comfortable then I wouldn't wear them either. Hope you are having a great evening!
for the black jeans, just roll the bottoms up! roll them up as high as they'll go, & that will make them look fitted like the rest of the jeans!
I 100% relate to only wearing skinny jeans. They may go out of style but I will never stop wearing them and no one can stop me.
Super pleased so far,
I want to go back to the time when it was normal for the bottom of your jeans to always be wet and chunks of the hem just hanging off 😂
It's sad what the world has done to where we are constantly pointing out our flaws and things we don't like about ourselves. Because of What we see and what the world makes us think is "beautiful". You are beautiful and hate to see you point out so many things you think are wrong with you. So many woman would love to look like you. I just wish we could all embrace what God gave us! You looked great in everything!!!
When I have a pointed toe type shoe, I will stuff a cotton ball or two in there to take up the space. Easy to adjust to make it cozy for my toesies!
I get a stitch fix every 3 months for the last 3 years. I guess they know me well by now because I almost always keep everything.
you do NOT have to keep everything! My mom always forgets, sometimes for two months, and she just emails customer service and they let her return them. she is just very forgetful lol. also we like the service because me and my mom are both at making outfits so it helps a lot
I agree with you on the jeans. I wont give up my skinny jeans and tall boots
Aaaw, I really liked the second outfit on you.
I feel the same about turtle and mock necks. It’s like I can’t breath
Thanks
Your shape is beautifully proportioned. Please don't be insecure.
Agreed - i don’t care if they’re out of fashion, skinny jeans forever!
I loooove stitchfix. But it's definitely a splurge. I like that you can leave notes for your stylist and specifics. I also love my merch Alexandria ❤️
I would love to see a stitch fix vs thred up. Basically, get your stitch fix box and see if you can duplicate it by shopping on thred up. I bet you could do it and save a TON of money!
If you have a tailor, see if they can crop the sweater and change the neck line! That color looks great on you, just needs a little modification
I do also really like the top.
Skinny jeans will never go out of style! I refuse to give up my skinny jeans!
Just BTW it's totally normal to have your feet be different sizes, that's actually the way most people's feet are 😊
I have a burgundy cashmere old man cardigan from a French designer.
When I put my self tanner on I use gloves you can buy a box for a few dollars. It really makes a difference trust me
You can always extend your payment,I've put mine off for 3 weeks...🙄 When you receive your box just go on the app click check out and you will see a link to extend your payment.
The black top looks SO nice on you! Your shoulders don't look broad at all. They actually look narrow and sloping.
I also hate turtlenecks but mocknecks imo is exponentially less suffocating and cuter
You seriously make the Stitch Fix clothing look amazing 🖤 Sorry you didn't like all of it! That's why I prefer to just find deals at TJMaxx.
You can always return it along as it has tags, I've forgotten too
I love the black jeans and black shirt combo. I think with a brown boot and brown bag and maybe a tan belt would look amazing
The skirt is probably my fav.
I have heard that you can extend the time frame for deciding if you plan to keep or return the items.
I agree with the skinny jeans. It won't ever go out of fashion if you wear tall boots.
I totally understand feeling self conscious about certain areas but that black top looks amazing on you! Literally every piece looks sooooo dang good on you!
Love me some stitch fix! I don't go shopping and splurge every three months on my stitch fix box!
I think if u contact them they will let you return the items… considering you can extend your time to return.
JIMMY!!! GIVE IT A REST. Everytime you mention Jimmy I'm dying 🤣
That is the cutest lamp I have ever seen in my life
They will take items back if mailed late.
Have you ever thought of creating your own brand subscription box? Like with home decor!
life hacks: buy your jeans from walmart. the name of the ones i always get is “no boundaries juniors’ high rise skinny jeans”. they’re only $10 a pair and they last YEARS. i wear them every day to work. the only time i’ve had to buy a new pair was bc i gained weight and went up a couple sizes 🤷 but they still looked fantastic when i stopped wearing them
Three days to try on, make a decision and return unwanted clothes is such a short window.
