You’re my new favorite reviewer, thank you so much for actually showing off the articulation in your videos. I like posing my figures and like to know what a figure can do before I buy it. Not really anyone else goes over articulation like you do.

I personally think carnage is more suitable for a straight up R rated horror movie. seriously if done right it would be awesome. don't think marvel well do that tho. But yes the design was awesome.

First and foremostly, thank you again for showing true articulation, like even to the point of pushing "limits". Again, you're the only reviewer I've noticed that will remind everyone that even though the figures are expensive, they're action figures, not statues.
Now for the critiquing of the figure: Thanks for the share and unboxing experience. Have to be honest, not only did the movie not get Carnage's proportions right, but Hot Toys didn't as well from movie reference point. Right off the bat just from the little closing up hole pieces, their sculpt matches the pieces from Venom figure. So if the body isn't evidence enough to show they used Venom body, those little masking pieces should solidify that theory/proof. Cost cutting tactic you know using what you already made for a figure that's based off a character who's similar to one you already did can kind of understand that.
However, I don't remember him having a massive abdominal/chest section. If anything, they should've made the body's sides concave in a bit more to where it can present a slender build, and sculpt thighs to match slender form of body, which at least in the movie that's what was right about Carnage's proportions. But w/this figure you've got slender arms somewhat meaty thighs but it mismatches main body which has a thick abdominal/chest region. They also should have given 2 "axe" arms.
They know what they're doing as well with this to me. It's priced this high not only due to size but also because there aren't many modern day 1/6 Carnage figures out there. Normally, they're just statues. I doubt they would make alot of these too considering once again the size. Then there's, including an Eddie Brock head reveal only w/figure if you go for Deluxe that isn't with the character it should be with lol. So they know.
I've invested in this as well as (regular version) used some points to bring down the price to a more reasonable big action figure price, hoping they would have a better final production to show. This isn't checking all the boxes for the price. Not entirely movie accurate. With Venom, at least they did him right and then some. Carnage? Not really.

@Loaded Diper Thanks, but I mean I'll admit I don't have it in person. This is my observation from video watcher standpoint. Maybe the look fits better in person rather than on camera solely. But definitely trying to stay as objective as possible for a figure that's not diecast or anything doesn't light up that costs $500+. Sure it looks nasty, flesh like goodness and all of that, but things have got to be accurate to a close T. Again disclaimer: don't have it in person, maybe it's better in such format. I'll give benefit of doubt. If critiquing was wrong when I have it in hand I'll comeback (honestly) and say "anyone that sees this post disregard I was wrong about main issue point for me" as Edit update. If not, I leave it as is. Hoping I'm wrong.

I found a pre order form from someone for only $404 in my country (Philippines) and it's deluxe already, I loved watching unboxing vids and hearing their thoughts as well as reading what the viewers are thinking of the figure as well.

Great review! Try applying some silicone oil to the rubber parts of your Venom (only use pure silicone oil that is used by plumbers, for air rifles etc..) and not only will it make it glossy but will extend the life of the rubber/silicone used to make the body.

Camera blower and brush is fine , but yeah better to clean every week or if you saw a lot of dusk clean it right away don’t take it too long..

Looks awesome but this has a rubber body which means you can't pose it for along period of time, I don't think this will sell out quick, this will be sitting at sideshow for a while as the articulation is not that great as they should of made this figure more dynamic.
Wrong. The exposed joints mean it can be posed indefinitely without damage
@@Fr0stbit3_ I know about about the arms but I'm afraid you forgot about chest and waist. as the joints on that are all covered in rubber so the figure will get damaged.
@@punisherxs6654 the torso is probably the place of concern. But if you don’t have it stressed too far you should be fine
@@Fr0stbit3_ as I said in my other comment you can't pose it for along period of time and that can put a lot of collectors off as well as the poor articulation, I can see it sitting at Sideshow for a while .
@@punisherxs6654 I have Venom and hadn’t had any issues with that and that figure has “worse” articulation.
The only reason this will sit on SS is because of the cost of it. Not because of the articulation

What annoys me is that it has a butt, when you move his leg up or sit or spread his leg, his butt rises from the bottom it looks weird, that's the reason why I hesitate to buy it haha
