I heard A Prayer at a time where I was kind of distant from God. Hearing that line "Jesus where are you? Am I still beside you?" was so relevant. I felt distant from everyone and everything around me. I felt like someone knew my struggle and could relate. But then I heard the rest of the song and it completely tore me apart. I remembered who I am in Christ and what he has done for me and my family. I remembered the way he put me back together every time I came to him with my broken pieces. A Prayer has been teaching me to not hold back when I pray. It's teaching me not to say a typical Christian prayer with nice vocabulary, but to really tell God how much I'm hurting and afraid I am. And it's reminding me that His love and his promises are eternal and they never fail.
Absolutely gorgeous! So thankful that "A Prayer" was on the record, that and "Gone" was the only thing I could listen to in the midst of my depression. At first, I was wondering why they would choose to put depressing songs on a Christian album but now I've realized that not everything is rainbows and sunshine, on this side of glory we sometimes lose fights with ourselves and those two songs reach us in a fallen state and help us to turn to the One.
It's still hard to re-listen to 'A Prayer'. This album is so real it's hard to just listen to it in the background without being moved by each song in a different way.
Thank you so much. I found you on accident. I lead worship too but was born with a cleft palate and was molested as a child, it has been God-thing, my whole existence. Praise King Jesus - Angelica, Cebu, Philippines
Best album of 2016. I've had it on repeat since I bought it Dust and a prayer are hands down my favorite tracks. I will travel as many miles as it takes to see y'all live in my lifetime but It would be awesome if y'all could make it down to Texas sometime!!
William Pierce I've been keeping my eye on this dude for a while. he always swears that his music is the best. as Christians we shouldn't seek praise for ourselves. but this guy does..
The point is that the gospel is for arrogant people. If you find someone who isn't arrogant, you find someone who's absolutely sinful in other ways. Christ died for the ungodly. That's all of us :D

the arrogance is strong in this one...
Twelve House OK, no. this dude is obviously bringing praises to himself and not to God. So, how exactly am I being arrogant?
nester nunez didn't seem arrogant to me
I understand why you would think that, but I think you may have judged that too quickly.
