Good evening viewers, in this episode of Blurberry Fishing, I head to Rompin and Tioman island to do some bottom fishing. Big shout out to Colin Ong of Advisor's Clique (@advisorsclique on Instagram) for the invite to fish with him in this great fishery. We were extremely lucky that the weather was fantastic during our trip. Winds were very light and the sea was flat for most of the days. I was rather unlucky for the first day, losing a few big hookups, and catching a few small fish, but my luck turned on the second day, landing 2 big red snappers and a big grouper as well as numerous medium sized fish. We were fishing live baitfish on apollo rigs mostly in waters 20-30 meters deep. In shallow waters, I was fishing a large hooks sabiki type rig with small 2 inch rubbers and occasionally weighted with a 40-60g jig.

Rompin Siong and Mat Rompin is pretty good, u can find them on Facebook. As for prices, it depends on number of days better to get quoted from them on FB directly

I see the fun and you got fish but to me this is not fishing. If I want to yell, shout, laugh and make noise with my friends can go to a night club or something; I don't see this as relaxing. Still, we all have our own way of doing things :)
