I actually just found a demo CD in the trash at work two days ago, and this was the first song. Took it home, listened, - hooked. Love this song. His voice and the guitar kind of remind me of Tom Petty in this song - no one else agrees. Anyway, thanks for posting, I'm gonna continue to check out is other songs you have up. Cheers! Canada (and its musicians) rock!
This is such a great song, if anyone is to say any different they dont know anything about music...this is what music is all about, if theres anyone out there who a song like this cant touch, then they have an empty soul and dont deserve to hear it.....rock on joel, hope to hear many more from you....P.S pls come back to the burin peninsula, newfoundland where other than your NS, your most sincere and loyal fans reside!!
@mrawesome3351 I could not agree more. I'm sitting here after just being out in Hurricance Earl (I live in Newfoundland). And I was thinking what a perfect song to be listening to right now. So I decided I would share it on Facebook so everyone I know can enjoy. Joel Plaskett is a beacon in the sea of crappy music that is being played. I was also upset that when I searched "Natural Disaster" he was not the first name that popped up!
I'd love to agree with you sir but I just can't when I think of Neal Young, April Whine, Rush, The Tragically Hip, and many others.. I think all Canada's music is the best.. When played at a kitchen party on the east coast of course! :D

Met him a few years ago. Really nice guy.

They played last night in Calgary. AMAZING. Frank Turner's opening set was acoustic and they both just killed it!
Seeing Joel next month in Toronto with Frank Turner. Words cannot describe how stoked I am for that show.
I adore this song... :')
