It was the first time that move was ever done and it became iconic. The devs recognized the dudes legendary clip by including the move in the new trailer
Rendezook comes from Battlefield 1942, though there are claims that the concept if not the name existed earlier games. The maneuver was dubbed the Rendezook, a cross between the words rendezvous and bazooka. I don't know if Stun_Gravy was the first to pull it off in BF1942, but he is documented as the first player to perform the maneuver in Battlefield 3. This is not to be confused with a Loopzook, which is pretty much the same concept, but due to the game physics of BF 1942 if you climbed at too steep of an angle prior to bailing out the plane's momentum would would cause it to do complete a loop as it fell back to the ground.

The OG RUclips clip is what got my dad and I into BF2-3 for so many years, staying up until 1am on a school night until my mom came in, scolded us and 20 min later we’re back ramming jets into tanks! He found out if you shot the tank with a friendly on the barrel it would launch people across the map. This truly was a staple moment of the series

Rendezook means you need to Rendezvous with your plane after killing the other plane with a bazooka (the rocket launcher in BF1942). And the name stuck as the creator's name was also Zookaman since he had other such feats with bazookas
Inertia. He had been jettisoned far enough from his bird before coming back to land in the cockpit, traveling faster than the jet. That said, this would be close to impossible to pull off but not theoretically lol
That was done in battlefield 3 during the early years, it was a player in a super hornet shooting down a flanker, the map i think was in a large refinery in the middle east, the same map that brought players taking out snipers from the other side of the map with tanks, good times

It was a whole thing, their culture was fk up, killing and suppressing other counties, until really recently after WW2 after they lost. Even the recent Godzilla movie took this point in the theme.
@@jasonzamora3618 most launchers, especially like what he was using, are, "recoiless". Basically, there is a big hole in the back, all gas/exhaust goes out that, causing "backblast", or, gaseous recoil. A non-issue for the user, potentially lethal for anyone directly behind the weaon.

@@opaditya8263 No, but on the off chance you are willing to spend money anyways, buy Battlefield 1 or Battlefield 4 instead of 2042. Those two games are easily the best in the series, while Battlefield 2042 is one of, if not the worst, games in the series. If you have a PC there's also Battlebit, which is similar to Battlefield, but much cheaper and with more Roblox style graphics.

This is Stungravy's Rendezook, it was done back in BF3 2011, BF2042 might have flopped so hard, but you can't deny the fact that the marketing team are a chad for immortalizing one of the best trickshots in gaming history, Stungravy even cried while watching the trailer

Rendezook means you need to Rendezvous with your plane after killing the other plane with a bazooka (the rocket launcher in BF1942). And the name stuck as the creator's name was also Zookaman since he had other such feats with bazookas

@@jasonzamora3618 most launchers, especially like what he was using, are, "recoiless". Basically, there is a big hole in the back, all gas/exhaust goes out that, causing "backblast", or, gaseous recoil. A non-issue for the user, potentially lethal for anyone directly behind the weaon.

This is actually a throwback to a player in BF3 who actually did this. He went up high, got out of his jet, shot and killed the other one, then got back into his jet and played like nothing happened.
