I swear to god I had a fever dream where there was a Toon Field card called Toon Shining Castle, that was the newest toon field/continuous replacement for World. Anyways, this thing had the effect where as long as there was one Toon monster card on the field, you could negate the activation of one spell/trap card per turn. It also allowed you at the cost of a thousand life points per tribute, to special summon a toon monster ysing your life points to ignore tribute conditions. And then there was something about a Toon Kaibaboy? Which was Kaibaman with a propeller beanie and then There was a Toon Priestess w/ Blue Eyes.
6 months from now, Konami is going to release Toon support in "Toon Decode Talker", and Rata is going to bang he's head into a wall for every person that tweets at him "Memed into Existence."
You know, i suspect that Konomi seriously watches these videos judging by the suspicious tendency for actually-good support cards coming out for a lot of archetypes that Top10 has critiqued. He shits on the beyond-stupid Great Moth lineup summoning conditions? Ultimate Cacoon of Evolution comes out shortly afterwards. He shits on Amazons having so little support? New usable support comes out shortly afterwards. He shits on the laughable uselessness of cyberdarks? New decent support comes out shortly afterwards.
I'm surprised you didn't talk about the original OCG text for Toon World, which went as followed: "Pay 1000 Life Points to activate this card. Pay 500 Life Points during each of your Standby Phases. If you do not, this card is destroyed. When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, all Life Points paid for this card are restored." Yep, the OCG errated it and the TCG got the errataed version without anyone noticing...unless you were playing some of the earlier YGO video games (especially Yu-Gi-Oh! The Eternal Duelist Soul), which kept the original version (despite changing the written effect to "Pay 1000 Life Points to activate this card" outside of Japan)

The intro was... magnificent!. At least toons make a niche engine in some local Exodia variants... :P (also I'm tempted to get Red eyes TD, just to add to my Red eyes collection... :/).
ENCHANTMEN Use Toon table of content to deck thin then search toon masked sorcerer for a plus one each time it direct attacks in combination with generic spellcaster support which helps with direct attacks. A heavily luck based win condition but hilarious if pulled off plus the Exodia legacy support has actually been pretty good.
Ojama Lime is the greatest anime protagonist of all time, which is very fitting as The One Who's Shape Was Snatched is arguably one of the most tragic villains in anime history. The writing is great, though the weird focus on card games is frankly annoying, as it often leads to MASSIVE filler arcs. I'm fairly certain the mangaka has a fetish for them at this point. Its a shame we don't see more of the side characters though. Lime is an amazing character but the Trains (namely best girl, Dora) don't get nearly much screen time outside they're flashback episode, and they're fanservice episode. All in all its up there with Cowboy Bebop, Spirited Away, and F·R·I·E·N·D·S. Rank10/10 anime.
TOON UPDATE: New Cards: Toon Bookmark(Spell), a better toon table of contents that can protect Toon World from a card effect by banishing itself from the graveyard. Toon Harpie Lady, another 4 star monster which we can easily special summon with toon world and can destroy a spell/trap card if one more toon is on the field. Toon Black Luster Soldier(8 star effect monster), which we have to tribute summon up to the levels 8 or above to get a beatstick that can banish any 1 card on the field if we have toon world at the cost of no attack that turn. Toon Page Turn(Quickplay Spell), which allows the player to take 3 different named toon monsters from the deck to be randomly chosen by the opponent on which is special summoned with conditions ignored. And Finally, Toon Terror is a counter trap guard that will negate the activation of a spell, trap or monster effect if you have a toon monster on field and a toon world on field but it can only be used once per turn.
+ULGORTHA I want to quote a voiceline Zane Truesdale has in Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links that seems to indicate that he doesn't hate Toon Cyber Dragon "Toon Cyber Dragon is bringing the charm" I find it funny because Kaiba HATES Blue Eyes Toon Dragon so it makes for ironic contrast.

So basically, Toon Barrel Dragon is a referential reversal of Gatling Dragon, which required Barrel and Blowback Dragons as fusion material with a mostly-Barrel Dragon aesthetic but with Blowback Dragon's effect?

Alejandro Benett See, the problem with Malefics, and that has been reported in the globe trotter Ojama Lime's memoirs, is that they are quite xenophobic and they can barely comprehend their own world. The idea of Toon Monsters, monsters that exist only for fun, is pretty much ungraspable for them and they will do whatever is possible to make their life an absolute nightmare.
Malefics and Toons are polar opposite in a way. Both rely on a spell card to stay on the field for them to live and be useful. Toons can attack directly Melefics can only attack by themselves. They are both decks based around morphed versions of old monsters. The list goes on.
Love the episode, though I would like to point out that Toon Mask has fantastic synergy with kaiju, making it a little more consistent if you run them in your deck. For extra fun you could always just use comic hand to steal the kaiju back.

Imagine if the 'Toon Kingdom' card could protect any "Toon" monster from any form of removal (i.e., banished/removed from play or bounced back to the hand or deck), that card would probably be considered "broken."
Toons in the anime are closer to malefic changing a monster into a town form and death on blowing up a single spell. Just thank God you don't have to run the normal version of a card to summon a toon knockoff
Eh....Cybers are okay hell they've always been okay to me but.....eeeeehhhh....there very easy to counter with traps that target effect monsters or BTH so....then again that's most people but cyber dragons don't have to many powerful monsters

As probably one of the last active Toon players on the planet, I have two recommendations. First, run Set Rotation and Field Barrier. Nothing rubs your opponents the wrong way like dumping Necrovalley or Magical Mid Breaker Field on their side, flipping Toon Kingdom and activating Field Barrier. Enjoy the sheer look of confusion and then horrified rage. Second, please don’t cast off Toon Ancient Gear Golem so casually. I love these videos and cheered when I saw the Toons, but Golem is actually a wonderful addition to the Toon lineup, surprisingly easy to summon with Toon Mask because your opponent usually has too much tunnel vision and, when stacked with a Rollback and literally one Gemini Elf, rips off 99% of your opponent’s LP and leaves you rolling on the floor while they scoop with a beet red face. Rata, thank you for this video and while Toons struggle to keep up with most decks, I do appreciate you pointing out how deadly they can be.
I actually love the fact that Toons used classic cards to support themselves instead of going for some more modern things. With how long they had to endure without much support they over time just naturally became an Archetype filled with references to old classic monsters. I myself wanted to see the Toon Buster Blader years before he finally released and am very happy that he's in the game now. I'm a really casual player anyway and started playing them before they got their newest wave of support, so honestly I take what I can get.
With the recent round of Toon support a few years ago, Toons have gotten a little better. Toon Harpie is a good, free special summon with a potential spell/trap pop. Toon Bookmark gave a second good searcher that can protect Toon World.
He has to keep coming up with new titles for the series if he does this. Legacy of the Worthless ended with a tournament and then rose Archetype Archive, if Archetype Archive has a tournament then we will need Gods of the Game. Where he critiques only the most top tier decks in history like D-rulers, Zoodiacs, Six Sams in their Prime, etc. by that time we will then need a mega-tourney with all of the decks mentioned in the series. Just to watch D-rulers to fall to Genex. Wait I think I derailed their for a bit. I don't know if that is allowed on this channel.

Alejandro Benett See, the problem with Malefics, and that has been reported in the globe trotter Ojama Lime's memoirs, is that they are quite xenophobic and they can barely comprehend their own world. The idea of Toon Monsters, monsters that exist only for fun, is pretty much ungraspable for them and they will do whatever is possible to make their life an absolute nightmare.
Malefics and Toons are polar opposite in a way. Both rely on a spell card to stay on the field for them to live and be useful. Toons can attack directly Melefics can only attack by themselves. They are both decks based around morphed versions of old monsters. The list goes on.

Love the episode, though I would like to point out that Toon Mask has fantastic synergy with kaiju, making it a little more consistent if you run them in your deck. For extra fun you could always just use comic hand to steal the kaiju back.

It bothers me that Toon Dark Magician doesn't treat itself as regular Dark Magician in the graveyard to synergize with Toon DMG.

Imagine if the 'Toon Kingdom' card could protect any "Toon" monster from any form of removal (i.e., banished/removed from play or bounced back to the hand or deck), that card would probably be considered "broken."
Toons in the anime are closer to malefic changing a monster into a town form and death on blowing up a single spell. Just thank God you don't have to run the normal version of a card to summon a toon knockoff

Eh....Cybers are okay hell they've always been okay to me but.....eeeeehhhh....there very easy to counter with traps that target effect monsters or BTH so....then again that's most people but cyber dragons don't have to many powerful monsters

As probably one of the last active Toon players on the planet, I have two recommendations.
First, run Set Rotation and Field Barrier. Nothing rubs your opponents the wrong way like dumping Necrovalley or Magical Mid Breaker Field on their side, flipping Toon Kingdom and activating Field Barrier. Enjoy the sheer look of confusion and then horrified rage.
Second, please don’t cast off Toon Ancient Gear Golem so casually. I love these videos and cheered when I saw the Toons, but Golem is actually a wonderful addition to the Toon lineup, surprisingly easy to summon with Toon Mask because your opponent usually has too much tunnel vision and, when stacked with a Rollback and literally one Gemini Elf, rips off 99% of your opponent’s LP and leaves you rolling on the floor while they scoop with a beet red face.
Rata, thank you for this video and while Toons struggle to keep up with most decks, I do appreciate you pointing out how deadly they can be.

I actually love the fact that Toons used classic cards to support themselves instead of going for some more modern things. With how long they had to endure without much support they over time just naturally became an Archetype filled with references to old classic monsters. I myself wanted to see the Toon Buster Blader years before he finally released and am very happy that he's in the game now. I'm a really casual player anyway and started playing them before they got their newest wave of support, so honestly I take what I can get.

With the recent round of Toon support a few years ago, Toons have gotten a little better. Toon Harpie is a good, free special summon with a potential spell/trap pop. Toon Bookmark gave a second good searcher that can protect Toon World.
How about making a tourney using your favorite of the archetype archives that you have done so far? Make it War of the Mediocre!
He has to keep coming up with new titles for the series if he does this. Legacy of the Worthless ended with a tournament and then rose Archetype Archive, if Archetype Archive has a tournament then we will need Gods of the Game. Where he critiques only the most top tier decks in history like D-rulers, Zoodiacs, Six Sams in their Prime, etc. by that time we will then need a mega-tourney with all of the decks mentioned in the series.
Just to watch D-rulers to fall to Genex. Wait I think I derailed their for a bit. I don't know if that is allowed on this channel.
